Beachfront vacation rentals in Tunnels Beaches

What a special place this is. Me and my sister wanted to stay near the harbour as we know the area well, and Julie's apartment was perfect. It has the most wonderful views of the sea from the lounge and kitchen, plus the spectacular coastline from the balcony. As an added bonus the bedrooms look out over the town and harbour. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in and the apartment has everything you need - and some! It's warm, cosy and very clean; also so peaceful and relaxing to be able to sit and just watch the sea. Even though it wasn't warm enough for us to sit out on the balcony, we could still enjoy the amazing views. On the first night we enjoyed our fish and chips from nearby Maddy's and had a lovely meal in Santiago's the second night, which is also close by. It was very difficult to tear ourselves away after our long weekend!

Perfect location to explore the area, especially for the Maritime Festival which was right outside and a great atmosphere. Very well equipt house and felt home from home. The only thing I would say is that the floorboards upstairs are very noisy and the bedroom doors squeak so might not be the best for light sleepers, didn't bother us too much as had young children so we knew when they got up in the night 🤣🤣

A wonderful haven, tucked away but easy to find. The bungalow was spotless and very welcoming. Lots of little welcome gifts left, not just for us but also for our dog. Garry is a very thoughtful host, nothing is too much trouble for him and Julie, they made our stay wonderful. There is a huge amount of information in the property for the surrounding areas and Combe Martin itself is a wonderful village, with very friendly people, who made us feel right at home. We loved the place so much that we have already booked again for next year.

Really nice stay. Ruth was helpful & responded quickly. The house slept 4 of us comfortably and was lovely & warm. It couldn’t have been better for access to the beach where winter dipping in the sea meant we could get back quickly & warm up. Highly recommended & Hele Bay is one of the nicest spots you could hope for.

We had a brilliant stay at Hideaway Cottage. It was well equipped, comfortable for 4 adults and the views (and sunsets) from the garden were absolutely stunning. Appledore itself is a perfect location to explore North Devon. Thanks also for the cream tea!

A fabulous few days away in Park Cottage with friends. Really lovely cottage with very comfortable beds (and feather pillows which was a bonus for us) Perfect location and massively recommend Miss Fea’s for dinner. Would love to come back again. Matt, Linda, Jill and Andrew

Our stay at Apt 1 - Ground Floor Apt - Southover Beach was somthing else! Honestly the location everything about this stay was amazing stones throw away from the beach for our daily adventures with our dog. We will most definitely be staying here again. Hosts were quick and responsive. ☺️

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.

We loved our stay in Combe Martin, the caravan is perfectly located a short walk from the beautiful beaches, and there are wonderful walks on the South West Coast path and so many places interesting places to visit only a short drive away. The accommodation itself was really lovely and spotlessly clean. Please note there is no WiFi, and we feel it should not be listed in the amenities, as this is misleading. We finally purchased a connection to the John Fowler WiFi which was very poor and kept dropping off. This was frustrating and the only disappointment in an otherwise really fantastic stay.

Perfect location, accommodation was new and well maintained. Great having the onsite pool for rainy days.

On arrival it was clean and tidy. Greeted with a bottle of wine and a welcome card. Lovely soft fluffy towels and a full size fridge/freezer that were an added bonus. On-site parking with a short walk from the apartment to the beach.However the walk back is not for the faint hearted as it’s up a steep hill. The use of the indoor pool from 07:00-23:00 was perfect for my daughter on rainy days. The double bed is so soft and I had the best nights sleep. Unfortunately this can not be said for the sofa bed. Luckily my 4 year old daughter was small enough to sleep diagonally on it. An adult lying horizontally would have a terrible nights sleep (as experienced by my partner) as there is a metal bar that runs diagonally through it. 40min walk to the local pubs or 7 mins in the car. I would highly recommend this for a 2 bed apartment. The views from the apartment are breathtakingly beautiful. A very enjoyable stay and memories that will last forever made. Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Naomi’s place with our two young children. The location is perfect - 5 min walk from the beach and literally a road away from the main strip of shops and restaurants. View is spectacular when having a cup of tea by the window! Use of the amenities at the nearby holiday park is a real bonus. Apartment was absolutely spotless, and had some really thoughtful extras, like a hidden doll house, some kids books and games. Thank you for a brilliant stay, we’ll be back!

Hands down the best UK break we have had. Property is amazing, everything that you could wish for. Well equipped, perfect location for beach access too. Property owner communication was spot on too, would highly recommend to anyone considering a break in Woolacoombe.

Just got back from a fantastic few days in Woolacombe. Apartment was fab, clean and tidy with everything you could possibly need including buckets and spades for the kids (huge hit) Location could not have been any closer to the beach. Views were insane. Can not fault Chris the host. Very helpful and easy to get hold of. Overall would 100% recommend and we are all looking forward to returning again in the future

We stayed for a few days to see the Earl of Rone folk festivities - absolutely perfect location right next to the beach. Incredibly clean, comfortable and welcoming space with a nice bottle of wine on our arrival. The flat had everything you could possibly need including a very well equipped kitchen with good quality implements (not always a given!). It's clear lots of time and thought has been put in to making this space feel just right. Lovely walks from the flat and a quick drive to places nearby that have lots of foodie options if fish and chips not your bag. Very much recommended!

We had a lovely couple of days in the bungalow. We booked it mainly for the views, and it did not disappoint - such a treat to be able to look out to sea all day! The bungalow was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and communication from the hosts was excellent. Thank you!

We were so comfortable staying at Edds house. It’s one of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was carefully thought out and we appreciated all of the small touches (particularly the bag of local fudge!). I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This was SUCH a beautifully clean and well presented apartment! The sea view from the main front window is a bonus. Everything was just as described and SPOTLESSLY clean. Sheila has done such a great job of keeping the apartment extremely well maintained and it is the perfect balance of homely but not over cluttered. Response was immediate and we had no issues at all. There is a nice Weatherspoons pub and a lovely Italian restaurant all within seconds from the front door. We were walking the coastal path so it was a joy to come back to a warm cosy flat. There are DVD's to enjoy and a large TV with lots of channels. Internet connection was perfect. No noise from other people in the flats. It is on the top floor so you have no-one to hear above you. Everything was simply 110%. One of the best Air BnB's we have stayed in for comfort and cleanliness.

Andrew was very helpful and his home was beautifully presented. Parking is super easy, it's clean, the balcony is great and what I also loved was the equipment for families. I didn't need them as I wasn't with my children. But there was a highchair, kids crockery and cutlery and buckets and spades. The rooms are very spacious, the kitchen appliances work great and the welcome package was really appreciated. I would very much recommend Andrew's home for any trip to Bude. it has lovely views of the beach, golf club and cricket ground. you're away from the hussle and bussle, although a five minute walk away from it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Second time staying here and it was great again. Cabin is clean, check in is easy, the location is fantastic and host is friendly and responsive. Can’t wait to visit again!
