Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tucson

I stayed here for three months in the summer. This unit is part of a an apartment complex and probably one of the best units of the complex, with regards to the city views from the front and the mountain views from the back. I enjoyed watching the monsoon thunderstorms build over the Catalinas before unleashing a torrent on the stoic saguaros. the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, although I was there in summer which in Tucson is considered the off-season. Access to the Ventura canyon trail is a few steps away, literally. Sabino Canyon is a quick drive away. Major grocery store is perhaps a mile or so away. Food delivery is available, and there were long periods when I didn't use my car. Lore was prompt and responsive and willing to go above and beyond with local recommendations. My only suggestion for improvement is perhaps having an actual office chair for a work environment. Otherwise it was a perfect place to stay and one where I regretted having to leave.

Absolutely Stunning and Immaculately Clean!! We loved that there was a washer and dryer in the unit. The pool was well kept and could be seen from the balcony. I am an accomplished cook, and we took full advantage of the well supplied kitchen. There was brand new cookware available which was still in the box and I was welcomed to use. The location was close to shopping and restaurants. The bathroom was large and clean with toiletries provided. All the rooms had ceiling fans which helped keep the unit cool in the Arizona heat, AC unit worked well on those extreme hot days. The only minor complaint was the couch, though beautiful and worked well with the decor, it was uncomfortable and the seat cushions would slide off, which was a minor inconvenience. This unit is perfect for 3 people max. Any more than that and it becomes crowded. It was perfect for us! Lastly...the VIEW was stunning!!! If I am welcomed back, I would stay again when I come visit my son. Thank You for having us!

Casa de Roberto was great, the space is bigger than the pictures, host is very responsive and helpful. The location is near everything (15 mins drive to anywhere). The space is clean and felt like home. Definitely recommended and will return when I go back to Tucson!

Vince's home is extremely stylish & yet feels homey & comfortable. I use Airbnb or VRBO once or twice a year & Vince is the nicest, most responsive hosts I have ever encountered. His home is completely stocked with anything & everything you could ever need. The amenities are outstanding. besides the swimming pool, there is a pool table, ping pong table & basketball court. My grandkids just wanted to hang around the house because there was so much to do. This home is definitely a winner!

Overall our stay was really great. We paid to have the pool heated and it was very warm; the kids loved it and swam every day. Lots of room for all of us (7) in the house. Location was easy to get to and backs onto a park where you can head out for a walk. There were lots of towels including pool towels. We had a bit of an issue when we first arrived but I phoned Shannon and she was able to change the door code remotely so we could get in. We would definitely stay at Shannon’s place again.

This cozy unit was perfect for me and my kiddo on our spring break getaway. We loved the saltwater pool, the views, and the quiet neighborhood. My son especially loved watching the quail families! Teresa was very hospitable and even showed me the herbs she was growing around her house - something that I especially loved as a fellow gardener. We would definitely visit again!

This Airbnb was a retreat, a home spa, and an amazing house in beautiful surroundings all rolled into one. Carella had addressed every detail to make our stay comfortable, and luxurious - down to filling the bird feeders so we could sit on the back patio and enjoy the birds. Were it not for interesting local activities, we would have been at the house our entire stay. I highly recommend Carella's home for friends and family vacationing in the Tucson area.

This house felt like we were at our own private boutique hotel. The Asian decor combined with the adobe style construction and surrounding cacti felt like we were transported to a very special place. The house was spacious for our family of four, and the kitchen was well stocked. We spent one day just lounging at the house and wished we had more time to do more of that. We'd highly recommend staying here and hope to return again ourselves.

I cannot say enough good things about Patricia and the gem she and her husband created. She gave us a tour and every piece had a story. What an incredible find, I will be staying her again on further visits to Tucson. Thank you so much Patricia for the little extras and the wonderful tour!

Sally's place was lovely -private and peaceful. Would love to return one day. Sally was a great communicator too.

Mimi's private studio in a safe quiet residential neighborhood was perfect for my short stay to town. I was one person, and it was a perfect size for me. Easy to park my car and enter the studio which was behind a gate that locked. While I did not do much cooking during my stay Mimi's kitchen was fully equipped with supplies including very nice coffee/espresso, hot plate, microwave and fridge. Mimi provided bottled waters and snacks too! Wifi worked great for some work on my computer and the smartTV was ready to go. Very convenient location to the university and also the hospital. A great stay!

Mi Casita was a wonderful find! Joanne was a gracious hostess, allowing us flexibility when our travel dates changed. It’s a beautiful space as pictured and Joanne provides lots of extra amenities to make your stay more comfortable. She communicated in a timely manner, detailed check in directions that we could easily follow in the evening and easy check out procedures. A quiet neighborhood, walkable to some great restaurants and close to downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our fifth time staying at Greg and Susan’s place. It was amazing as always and we felt right at home!

We had a great stay we were in town for a soccer tournament and this was very close to Kino which was ideal for us. The home was very clean which I appreciate more than anything else. Our only complaint was that the internet was down while we were there so we had no WiFi our kids had to use our hotspot to watch movies at the end of the night. This was out of the hosts control though and Todd was so responsive and tried to get it figured out quickly. It wasn’t a huge deal for us because we were busy with games anyways so it was really just at night. We enjoyed our stay overall and would book again for future tournaments!

Lisa’s place was spacious and adorable. The backyard was large and a lovely space to relax and enjoy coffee or a glass of wine. Short walk to campus so really convenient for U of A visits, events, etc. Would highly recommend!

I had a great stay, it at least matched if not surpassed expectations from the photos. It felt very peaceful and my host was responsive and kind. Definitely glad I chose this place.

Christie’s place was just as advertised. Lovely and clean. There were only 2 of us this trip but there’s lots of room. The house has everything. Lotions, sunscreen, condiments galore. We want to stay here our next trip and have a larger group. A great stay.

Beautiful condo and views. Had everything i needed for a week-long stay. Very quiet and peaceful place. The house has a great AC and the complex pool came un perfect for the hot days. Close enough to everything I needed to do and go. But very peaceful !!! Ronald was very helpful i would stay here again in the future .

We really loved our stay at the Casita! The setting is just beautiful, surrounded by mountains and cacti, and the property is peaceful and private. However, we were just a mile or two from the grocery store and great restaurants too! It was the perfect home base for all the hiking we did, and the Casita itself was spacious, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Ken was incredibly kind and helpful, and he made us feel right at home. We were really sad to leave and can't recommend this place enough!

My family loved staying here. The condo is located in a great spot. As far as the property, it’s clean and I can tell the host has placed their guests in mind. I will note that Ventana Canyon View seems to have an established older community of residents living there. So if you have little ones (as our family does) you may get a couple disgruntled neighbors as we did at the pool. I’d just be mindful of your littles and the residents. Other than that, we’d definitely recommend the space.

One of the best stays I’ve ever had! Beautiful place/location, very relaxing and clean! Hosts are extremely kind and helpful! The price was very reasonable for what you get, lots of local recommendations from the hosts, and even in the guest house there was plenty of privacy! Couldn’t ask for a better stay!

We absolutely love this property! It’s our second time staying at the Quail Adobe and we always look at this property to see if it’s available. We came for the UofA graduation and love how close it is to campus. Being able to go back and forth on this trip was a priority and it’s the perfect distance away. The hot tub at the end of the long day of graduation activities was perfect! As soon as you walk into this property it feels like home. The wine, chocolates and fresh fruit really shows how much the host wants you to feel at home. I would recommend the Quail Adobe to anyone coming to Tucson.

Excellent all around! Out of all the airbnbs we have stayed at this one had the biggest tv! Our family should possibly have better standards than that when rating places to stay. Very spacious and no issues at all. Comfy beds and though Tucson was hot the house was perfectly cool.
