A Mountain View Retreat

We had a great stay at Daniel's place for a long ski weekend at Canaan Valley. The town home has plenty of space. Easily sleeps seven with one room ideal for children with a bunk bed and double. Hot tub was hot and clean. Adjacent to Timberline and very short drive to Canaan Valley.

2 Bdrm WV Ski Townhouse!

We booked James’s place at the last minute, and we chose it for the location rather than the accommodation. However, when we arrived we had a wonderful surprise, because it was much nicer than the photos had let us to believe. It was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen and a lovely sitting area. The kids loved having the playground outside, and it was amazing to soak in the hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the stars come out. We also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and games room, and visiting the ponies at the riding centre. The kids sledded down the hill outside and we also went sledding at Blackwater Falls, which was fantastic. The waterfall looked so beautiful with all the icicles. We didn’t have time to try Timberline, but the skiing at Canaan Valley was reasonably priced and great fun. We also had a few nice meals in Davis and Thomas, and a beautiful walk to Douglas falls. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely come again if we can…

If I could give Ruth and her place a higher rating I would! She is really attentive to detail AND wants to know how she can make it even better! Great location! Very close to downtown Davis and still feels very quiet and peaceful! Easy access to so many outdoor activities! The next time we go to either Davis or Thomas, WV, we plan to stay here!

Unwind at Quiet Snow - Mountain Retreat w/ Hot Tub

Enjoyed my stay. Building is one half of a 2 unit townhome but felt very private, both inside and out. Hot tub and fireplace both were easy to work with clear instructions for hot tub use. Place was clean and cozy with comfortable beds. Location was convenient to the ski areas, and a nice view of Timberline was available through the trees from the back porch or hot tub area. The office for check in was about a 6 minute drive from the property, and check in was hassle free, with a simple pick up and drop off box for the keys. Matt was responded very quickly (less than 10 minutes) to a question I had while driving to the property. Kitchen appliances are a little old but everything is perfectly functional and well stocked in terms of dishes and cookware. It’s a great value and I would recommend to others.

Condo Slopeside at Timberline, Canaan Valley

We can’t wait to go back!! From before our arrival and during our stay, the hosts were quick to respond to any questions. The location is unmatched. Being steps away from the lodge and bunny slopes was amazing for our group. We could come and go to the house as we wanted for breaks. The lodge was a nice option for last-minute snacks or drinks we needed, like juice and milk for the kids once we ran out. Definitely recommend!

Incredibly beautiful home with fantastic views! It was so peaceful and the drive to the house was so scenic. Everything was just so relaxing. The beds made me never want to get up lol. You can tell they really care about their guests because the kitchen is stocked with spices, oil, and different kinds of pans. Marcy is a great host and we are very thankful for her.

This is a beautiful place. It’s spacious inside with lots of outdoor space also. Very peaceful. It’s located between Blackwater Falls and Dolly sods so easily can see both places. Amy was very helpful and responsive. The house is beautifully furnished, very cozy and makes you feel right at home! The fireplace was great after our hikes! The beds were very comfortable. We stayed for a long weekend of skiing at Timberline. Had my teenage son and a few of buddies there, as well as my wife and daughter. Placed worked out great and the proximity to Timberline was great too. Not walkable to the mountain, but easy enough for everyone to throw on their gear, drive over and hit the trails immediately. Despite the absolute frigid temperatures (one morning was -7° F), the place was able to keep up with the heat and keep everyone comfortable.

A fantastic stay for my family, we truly enjoyed the ample space for our family of 7. We truly could have fit 12 people in this spot. It was nicely decorated with ample kitchen utensils and appliances! Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Timberline is within walking distance or a short drive. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of skiing.

We were in town for a weddding and had guests arriving from long distances. This rental was absolutely PERFECT for what we needed. It was close to the venue so noone got lost. Area is beautiful. Thomas responded to ANY question and request I had. Extremely accomodating. We had 7 adults and 1 child. Everyone was comfortable and did not feel crowded. Having 3 full bathrooms was awesome when evryone was getting ready for the wedding. Definitely would rent again.

We had an amazing stay at Trina’s place over NYE. It’s clean, cozy and was perfect for skiing and also hunkering down during the storm. Trina was very responsive and even reached out to give us a heads up about the weather. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. We will definitely be returning.

FANTASTIC…to say the least!! Everything was wonderful, from booking, to check-in, throughout our stay and after. The home was welcoming and well appointed. It was the perfect fit for our family vacation!! We played board games, explored the area and relaxed in the hot tub in the evenings. The perfect family spot in Deep Creek!! Definitely hope to stay here again!!
