Vacation rentals with lake access in Tucker County

Whispering ridge was definitely a great stay if you are wanting to spend a weekend at the ski resorts. 5-10 min drive to Canaan was so ideal for us. The cabin was designed all cozy to make you feel at home and had everything you possibly needed!

Our stay was amazing waking up and drinking a cup of coffee looking at the lake was my favorite.

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was fantastic! We will definitely be back. Housekeeping did a great job. The cabin was immaculate. The cabin had everything we needed for a great escape Birthday weekend trip. We didn’t want to leave!

Wow! What a perfect ski weekend. We go on a lot of ski trips, and this house has one of the best layouts for skiing and snowboarding I’ve ever experienced. I wish it was ski in ski out, but it’s a short walk and a tiny climb to get on the slopes, or a tiny drive. The house was impeccably clean. Hot tub water was crystal clear. Kitchen had everything needed. And (nothing to do with the house) this was our first time at Timberline, which we all thought skiied bigger than its vertical and had a top notch lesson program for our 6 and 4 year old grandchildren! And its restaurant was MUCH better than our expectations. Exceptional Lobster Roll!

Amazing views and location for exploring the valley. The realty company was very responsive and even made sure to plow the driveway first thing in the morning as it was snowing pretty hard. Very clean and cozy and hot tub and fireplace really topped off the whole mountain house experience! Would definitely come back with a group of friends or two families.

Loved staying in a log cabin. Even though temps dropped to below freezing, the cabin was super comfortable. Did not realize it had so many bedrooms, it was a nice surprise. Driveway was super easy to get into and out of, especially since I hate backing up. Very quiet and peaceful. Great scenery.

Was able to get family/spouses all together for a good time. Large table was a great gathering area for food, games and puzzles. Watched all the NFL games and movies over the Christmas weekend - great cozy setup. The grill worked great for steaks and was able to cook multiple meals in the kitchen. Did a couple family hikes around the neighborhood lakes with one of them being a little over 3 miles - be prepared for the wet. Deer are everywhere. Did a solo hike - plenty challenging at the Dolly Sods access at the top of the neighborhood. Intertubing at Canaan for a couple hours - plenty to do!

Lovely cabin and view. We loved having a cozy fireplace and hot tub. Playing ping pond downstairs was so much fun. We had 8 guest and it was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy time together but also space to have quiet time. We skied at Canaan Valley and enjoyed our time on the slopes. We will certainly be back.

We had a peaceful and renovating time!! Wish it was longer. Great family space for games and hanging out. Loved how easy it was to walk to the river. We even got to see a river otter! And lots of ducks, frogs, and other wildlife. Bring your river floats to chill in the river! Can’t wait to go back.

This is the second time our family has stayed at this beautiful home. We enjoy the peacefulness and view of the lake. All the furnishings are comfortable too.

The cabin was in a great location. It was spotless, very comfortable, and Angela and Duffy were wonderful hosts!

Lovely cabin in a quiet, wooded, private neighborhood. We chose to drive to the community beach and park there (instead of walking due the steep hills) and spent hours letting the kids play and swim while we took turns stand up paddling. Takes 20-25 mins to drive to most restaurants and activities, but the scenery is gorgeous and there isn’t much traffic. We were grateful for the comfy beds and couches to rest upon after a long day of activities.

Tina’s home was wonderful for a long weekend lake getaway. The home was cute and exactly as described. Tina was extremely communicative and gave great local recommendations. Stay here!

Jake was a great host and very responsive. His place is comfortable and a gorgeous view in the woods. We will be back.

Just like the pictures, this lakeside cottage is lovely. Great setting and views. Very nicely decorated and very well equipped. Susan was an outstanding host.
