Comfortable, quiet home in Brooklin, Maine

LilaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The house was cozy and comfortable with all amenities we could need. The kitchen was huge and had a ton of pots and pans and every implement and accessory we could possibly want. We loved the living room, which was filled with books and music, and an invitation from RIch to listen to/read whatever we liked. We also loved the quiet surroundings. It was lovely and peaceful. I would definitely recommend the property and the owner.

Pine Moor Cottage - Acadia National Park

ThomRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Nice location on the quiet/less busy side of the island. Feels almost like a new build - all furniture & fixtures are clean/new/nice; honestly the best equipped kitchen I've seen at an Airbnb. Set up well for families with small kids (high chair, pack n play, sippy cups, etc) - although our kids are past that age, these amenities would come in extremely handy for those who need them. Check out a sunset at Seal Cove Picnic Area just a few mins down the road - it was great.

Skipping Stone on Frenchman's Bay Weekly Rental

DonaldRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A beautiful house in a beautiful location! Beth was wonderful to deal with and very communicative. She kept in touch with us prior to our trip, and she patiently answered any questions we had during the trip. The views from the patio and living room are fantastic, and the area is very quiet. Both the Park and Bar Harbor are a short drive a way. This is a great place to stay on a trip to Bar Harbor.

Hot Tub Time Machine

LynneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very aesthetically pleasing. Big, love the open concept. Super conveniently close to the ferry yet very private and quiet. Hot tub and sauna are an amazing plus! Great deck with comfy furniture, grill and outside eating table. Lots of room. Gregory was very communicative and responsive. Lives right on premises, but gives you your space. Trying to figure how to make it an annual family gathering place.

Tamarack harborside cottage

CarrieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Tamarack was a lovely private cottage near Southwest Harbor and close to everything we wanted to do in Acadia! We enjoyed staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island and Tamarack was a cozy respite after a long day of hiking. The added bonus of a beautiful sunrise out of our window each morning was very serene! The cottage was new and very clean with all of the amenities you could ask for. There was not much to walk to however it is only about 5 minutes into Southwest Harbor which had a number of good restaurants ( although many close after the 3rd week in October) and close to a tiny but well stocked grocery store. We enjoyed cooking out on the gas grill and exploring local restaurants. Our host was very accommodating and communicative! We will be back next fall!!!

Your Mount Desert Island Base Camp

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A perfect spot just outside of Acadia. Nestled on a private road that is beautiful also! Immaculately clean and very responsive host. My only issues was the beds- for me they were not comfortable but I prefer a firm bed. I definitely would come back here when visiting Acadia again.

Southwest Harbor Hideaway in the Woods of Acadia

AutumnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
My group and I had the most wonderful trip to Maine due to such a fabulous air b and b experience! Sean and Carra were so thoughtful in every element, from the decor and rooms to leaving us a pie and flowers. They clearly take great pride in their home and it showed in all elements. A group of 8 of us fit so comfortably in their home. I hope we get the chance to go back because it was such a great experience. Thanks again!!!!

The Snuggery - Downtown Southwest Harbor - Acadia

GraemeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I really enjoyed my stay at the Snuggery. The whole place is actually quite spacious compared to any hotel room and the little kitchen area was very handy. Shawn was very responsive and quickly resolved an issue with the coffee maker, so that I could enjoy the delicious free coffee that was provided. The only drawback is that the window blinds do not fully block out the daylight, so you might want to bring an eye mask, if you don't want to be wide awake at 5am in the summer.

The Bird's Nest

LanaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This spot was a GEM! Susan was a great host providing us with great recommendations and a cozy little cabin to rest our heads in. We enjoyed cooking our own breakfast and sitting on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view. Very quaint spot being in Southwest Harbor. It featured a nice little town that so close and wasn’t too busy. We enjoyed some hiking and sailing around South west as well. And not far from Acadia and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed this trip — perfect blend of relaxing and adventure.

Acadia sunrise deck apartment

AnnetteRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Great place for visiting Acadia. I usually try to book inside National Parks or as close as I can. Her place was 18 minutes to the visitor center and the drive was a nice drive. The breakfast food she left was awesome. Her kitchen was stacked with everything needed to cook dinner. 4 deer and 8 wild turkeys crossed over her front yard. It was a peaceful place to come back to after the crowds in the park.

Marina side Bow condo

GaryRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We were very happy start to finish. The location was just so unique and incredible. Right on a working marina, but very quiet. Plenty to see and do nearby. Walk across the pier and buy live lobsters. Christie was extremely helpful and quick to respond when asked. Condo was very well done with plenty of touches to make it homey. A good value! If we come back to Maine, we’ll call her first.

The Owls Nest

JordanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place in Brooklin was delightful. We arrived at the edge of the season so got to enjoy the surrounding area mostly to ourselves. Our hosts were kind and welcoming and not overly attentive. They got a kayak out of storage and took it to the dock for me which gave me a lovely morning on the nearby cove. They also gave us a later checkout which was really helpful to not have to jump up and get things cleaned and packed. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Modern Condo #3!

MonamiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The condo was so convenient, it had minimal furniture, so it was open, gave a lot of space to my kid to run around and play without the risk of getting hurt. the place had everything you could need plus the added benefit of Netflix and HBO accounts provided by the host. Kitchen had all the utensils and pots and pans needed . They have a lovely patio , we couldn't use it because it was too cold but it'll be awesome to use in summer. Derek was super friendly. He responds within minutes and always has something to help and offer. The place also came with a pack and play which was really nice

Peregrine's Perch in Downtown Bar Harbor

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We truly enjoyed our stay at Brian’s place. The location is unbeatable: 10 minutes to drive to Acadia, and 10 minutes to walk to the waterfront in downtown Bar Harbor. We traveled with our two children, ages 3 and 1.5, and had plenty of room. We did our best to keep quiet for our downstairs neighbors, but just know that sound does carry a bit, even from the downstairs unit. Having a full kitchen and washer and dryer was a huge plus! Cannot say enough good things about Brian’s place, and hope to be back.

3) ACADIA NATIONAL PARK & BAR HARBOR!

ReginaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Stayed for 4 nights with 4 adults. Tim's place was bigger than expected; it never felt like tight quarters. The rooms were spic and span, kitchen had everything you'd need to cook a meal. Location was great: having been here before I prefer this side of MDI anyways. Plenty of parking and easy access to Island Explorer as well. Great host: will definitely recommend!
