Such a great property. The house itself is very nice, spacious and thoughtfully put together. The pool, sauna and sauna are amazing. Would thoroughly recommend.

All previous reviews indicated a top class house in every respect and I can only reiterate those views. If I could have given a 6 star rating I would have done so. All generations (grandparents, parents and children) thoroughly enjoyed using all of the facilities provided from cooking, eating and drinking to the outside play area, the pool and the gym. Further the location was most agreeable, in easy reach of lots of beautiful countryside and interesting places to visit in South Gloucestershire. Helen-Louise’s communications were responsive, clear and most helpful. The perfect host!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, kids loved the swimming pool. Facilities fantastic and an extremely comfortable stay for all.

Such a lovely place to stay. We only booked for two nights and wish we had been there for longer. Lots of really interesting features (a suit of armour! A harp!) in a well stocked house. Very comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful views (we especially enjoyed all the bird nesting in the eaves), gorgeous interior, starry Dark Skies and nice hosts - what's not to love? Great parking. Wish we could have had a few more nights, to check out the pub just down the road.

Booked for a 50th birthday celebration and reunion. A great time was had by all! Lois was around to meet and greet and the items provided for breakfast was an unexpected but very welcome surprise! Thanks for a great stay Lois!

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Beautiful home! Absolutely loved staying here. The grounds were so gorgeous and the property was 5 star hotel standard. It’s not often that you stay somewhere that the beds are comfier than your own and these were. They had thought of every little detail. Couldn’t recommend more.

Great accommodation, we have stayed in many large venues with our multi generational family and this one has been our top pick so far. Central to town and Chepstow castle and the added facilities the house has to offer were a fantastic addition. On the occasions we reached out to the host before and during our stay he was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for the opportunity of staying in your fantastic venue.

Wow what a place. Every bit of it was perfect just as we imagined. The little girls loved every moment as it gave them the cottage feel they were thinking of. I must say the place is very well equipped, Justine has added small touches like towels, hand wash, shampoos, ear buds, candles. You don’t normally expect them but very well equipped. It literally feels like you’re at home, I’m glad we made this choice. There was an onsite sauna which we didn’t get to use but looked really cool. Maybe on our next visit we will get to use it.. The outdoor garden was magical, nice breezy, birds tweeting, just absolutely beautiful. Well done Justine to you and your partner for having a lovely place. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The house was tidy and clean. Everything we needed was there. Jill is very attentive, friendly and responsive host. Definitely can recommend this place!

we stayed at 'Sheiling' for 2 nights for my partners birthday and we were not disappointed!, this property is immaculate & very peaceful, the facilities at Sheiling are second to none, everything you could need for your stay is provided, even a bottle of prosecco 2 bottles of beer & milk were left for us which was greatly appreciated. There was excellent communication between us & Jane the host. We had such a relaxing time especially in the hot tub and our first night we were visited by a fox in the garden when we were in the hot tub which was a wonderful treat! we will definately be back!

Was a beautiful and cozy little place perfect for a get away. Lovely scenery, and the views around the area are truly breathtaking. Amanda was a wonderful host, always willing to help and be of great service. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Beautiful property with the most stunning views! fantastic kitchen with doors that open up completely so you feel you are outside the whole time. wonderful outdoor space that really makes the property. Lisa and Vicky were helpful and friendly throughout. Thank you for a wonderful stay

if you are looking to hear nothing other than the wind rustling through the trees and beautiful birdsong then this is the place for you. An immaculate Lodge within a stunning setting, lots of attention to detail and we wanted for nothing. this really was a home from home and the bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you Nicky for having us and thank you to your charming Friend Lesley and Woody the very well behaved and cute pooch. we will definately see you again xx

We had a great stay here! A lovely location with some nice pubs surrounding. The house was very clean, well equipped, spacious and homely too. Joby was very responsive and only more than happy to help. We felt welcomed from booking our trip to checking out. We made some lovely memories 💜

We had a lovely overnight stay in the annex. Everything we needed was provided. Helpful information was given by Abi and Ryan running up to and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Lydney.

The beehive had all we wanted, very well equipped & clean. Nothing lacking.

Lovely property and shared spaces, ideal for people getting together and catching up. Really nicely renovated property, beautifully done - all the modern conveniences, sympathetic to the tradition of the chapel. The area very peaceful and local pub was great too, really welcome and friendly.

What a fantastic stay! In the heart of the Cotswolds, but also right in the center of the village where you can walk to the shops, cafes and pub. The house itself was beautiful, with a space between the two buildings to have dinner with the family. Tons of green space for the kids to run around and play. The building felt like it had history, but updated with modern kitchen and amenities. Couldn't recommend this stay enough for the whole family!

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay, felt so at home. Cottage was absolutely spotless……..very tastefully furnished with the addition of fresh flowers and even a cake to welcome us. Courtyard garden is full of pots with flowering plants as well as table and chairs on decking in the perfect spot to catch the sun. We were thrilled with our choice of accommodation.

We had a fantastic time at Anita’s beautiful home. The location was superb - the forest of Dean on our doorstep, the river Wye within short walking distance, a comfortable house with beautiful views overlooking the village. The locals were friendly with a nice selection of pubs/restaurants nearby. It was nice to be able to take our dogs along, Anita even left treats and beds for them. A nice touch! Anita was a very attentive host, nothing too much trouble. My family had a very relaxing break. Thank you Anita, highly recommended.

Indeed Jamie and Sara's place, is different, full of mod cons, yet cozy and relatable. The sunsets from the vast windows were glorious and the array of games were both challenging and fun. The only minor drawback (though we found a solution) was that the stylish bathroom floors up stairs were too slippery after a (lovely) shower, so we used the down stairs one, in which the floor was more textured (and more older person friendly....) All in all a lovely experience. Thank you!
