Vale Chestnut - Cottage with stunning views

ClaireRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We had a fantastic week here, the views and setting were just amazing. The accommodation was clean and cosy, Danielle and Tom were great hosts- so friendly and very very responsive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! The kids loved the swimming pool and its long opening hours. Although there were other families staying in the other cottages it always felt very tranquil and peaceful with us often having exclusive use of the pool. It was great having a washing machine to use daily, as well as lots of other bonuses. We will definitely be back!

Woodcutter’s Cottage - Magical riverside location

HelenRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

Lofty converted barn - The Forge, private hot tub

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

New Holiday Home on Penrhos Park golf course

JodieRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Wow……one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in!! Beautiful lodge that was immaculately clean, lovely kitchen to cook in and the outside decking area was perfect to sit out and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We saw dozens of Red Kites throughout our stay which was a real treat as we’re big nature enthusiasts! We loved it so much that we’re heading back in just under 4 weeks time for 6 nights 😎 a real gem of a find, the golf club was very welcoming and the food was lovely! Really cannot rate this beautiful place highly enough!! Looking forward to the next one already!!

VictoriaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a lovely place for our multigenerational family to enjoy the long weekend together. The highlights were definitely the pool and the large lounge where we spent lots of time together but didn't feel ontop of each other! Richard's excellent communication added to the overall positive experience. We highly recommend this cottage!

Barn conversion with separate indoor private pool

JulieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An amazing stay with my family at the barnhouse. Derek gave us a friendly welcome and gave a tour of the place then left us to settle in but stressed if there was anything we needed we could just give him a call. The barnhouse was spotless and clean with stunning views from the french doors onto the decking balcony. The pool house was fantastic with the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Also equipped with changing rooms and showers. I cant rate the host Derek and the barnhouse enough and will definitely book again in the future.

Pretty Pet friendly cottage in river valley.

KarenRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Fronlefrith is a gem! In a lovely setting-private and peaceful-a wooded valley with the gentle sound of the river nearby. The garden areas are great for relaxing - and bird spotting, too. The house is clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay and the quirky interior is great! Ed was a super host - friendly and responsive. There is so much to see and do in the area - both on the coast and inland - with many and varied places for eating out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful part of Wales - thank you, Ed and Gill!

A lovely, comfortable cottage but mind your head upstairs. Everything provided for cooking and cleaning if needed. Easy walk into Borth which was great for a curry, fish and chips, ice cream and groceries as well as great walks and the beach. Great location for exploring Portmerion, Snowdonia, the Elan Valley and the Black Mountains, especially on the motorbike. Liked it so much I am sure we will return soon. Such a beautiful spacious one bed cottage, with gorgeous gardens surrounding and Helen was friendly and helpful. The cottage was spotlessly clean and bigger than we expected. Walking through the gate in the wall was like walking into the secret garden. A perfect base and everything needed was there and a shop close by. We hope to stay again one day.

Dolgoch Hostel Tregaron Mid-Wales sleeps 20

CallumRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location and surroundings of this hostel are truly amazing. The log burner and big open living space was perfect for our group and allowed us to have an amazing weekend. The beds are comfortable and warm, and the bedding was clean. If you are looking for a more rustic accommodation for a group event, in a place that is truly remote and set in amazing scenery, then this place is perfect. Our warden was Malcom who was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would say that it would have made our stay a bit more comfortable if the warden had their own area to chill in the evening as it was a bit awkward them being there all evening until they went to bed at 11pm. As a group of adults, we did not need to be supervised at all times. Overall we had a great weekend and appreciated the scenery and setting. We had a mostly cloudy weekend but when the clouds broke at night the skies were truly dark and full of stars.

Edge House

StuartRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Fantastic modern house with all mod cons. The views are breathtaking over Aberporth....only downside a new house is under construction adjacent to the main living room which takes away some of those views....and although close to completion....scaffolding is an eyesore. Still fabulous stay and would go back to Aberporth again.

Tyncornel - whole hostel booking

MurrayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A beautiful hostel in a silent, magical valley, plenty of local walking routes and hardly anyone else around. The hosts were incredibly responsive and proactive in helping us find the way (it is in the middle of nowhere) and someone was there to help us check in and show us how the hostel worked. The hostel was basic in the perfect way and had plenty of games and books to read by the fire.
