Cottage vacation rentals in Torbay

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay.The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

The cottage is in a very quiet and remote location. The only sounds were the cows from the nearby farm and birds singing. The interior of the cottage is very tastefully furnished and comfortable and clean. Beds really comfortable and all equipment you would need in the property. Great selection of DVDs near the tv too. Property about ten minutes drive from Dartmouth and some nice quiet places to walk from the cottage. If you like walking or running and are looking for hills, there are some notable ones here. Worth the gradients for the views at the top though!! Kirsty was a very responsive host and provided helpful information. I would certainly stay at this cottage again as it is such a lovely location and place to stay in.

Such a beautiful location and the cottage was warm and welcoming. Very comfy and had everything that we needed. Great for either relaxing or visiting attractions. The pool and hot tub were both a huge hit. Lovely host in John and fascinating watching how the biomass works too. Thanks for having us and will come again

We were excited for Stonewalls from the minute we found the ad. Our hosts were amazing, always helpful and responsive, and the house itself was wonderful. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and really felt like a "home from home". The hot tub was immense, and absolutely made our holiday. We have friends in Torquay, so it worked well with day trips to Totnes, Plymouth and Torquay. We also had a wonderful meal at the Crabshell and wanders round Kingsbridge. Thank you so much again for a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back 😊

Cliff cottage is a very special place to visit. The views from the front of the cottage are outstanding. It was such a peaceful place to stay and we even saw seals on our last morning! Rowena was exceptionally helpful, friendly and quick to respond as a host. We loved the Ferry boat inn pub, conveniently located almost opposite the entrance to the cottage. The cafe was closed when we were there so assume it is only open in warmer months. We went crabbing on the pontoon in front of the cottage and it is a great place to people watch! There is no parking at the cottage but the tide was out when we arrived so we were able to drive onto the beach to unload our bags before moving the car to a car park near by. It is a steep walk so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. I stayed with my husband and 4 children and we had plenty of room. The cottage itself is lovely and had everything we needed. We will definitely be visiting again!

Decided to spend Christmas down in Brixham with my parents and this cottage was absolutely wonderful! It was nice and close to the harbour, which has lots of restaurants, pubs and a wonderful view of the bay. The cottage itself was wonderfully cosy and had all the amenities listed and looked exactly how presented in the pictures, making our stay here perfect for Christmas! 🎄 Celeste was also a great host, whose level of communication was brilliant with fast replies and useful information. The cherry on top of the cake with Celeste's hospitality was that we were surprised with a bottle of prosecco and a card wishing us a Merry Christmas! This was a really lovely gesture which we were delighted by! Would definitely recommend this lovely property and host for anyone wishing for a get away to Brixham! 😁

This place was better than we imagined, it was a lot bigger than what we expected from the photos, the view was beautiful and the location was perfect. The parking pass was very helpful and it was great with the keypad so we didn't have to worry about looking after a key. The location is also very close to the harbour but it was silent at night!

We had a wonderful stay with our 14 and 10 year old children. The location of the cottage is even better than I expected, the view is incredible. We had intended to visit the surrounding towns but ended up spending the whole time in Stoke Gabriel as it was such a beautiful place. We went on some lovely walks, kayaked and had fun crabbing

Stayed at Bosuns Cottage in March. Fantastic cottage with stunning views out over the harbour. Spotlessly clean and very cosy. Great balcony and patio area. Located at the top of the Queens Steps which are a little steep in places but the gorgeous view from the cottage made it worth it and once at the bottom of the steps you’re practically on the harbour front. Our local contact Carly was very helpful when we called with a couple of questions. Brixham is fantastic for cosy pubs, great food and is super dog friendly which was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend both Bosuns Cottage and Brixham.

Our holiday for the week consisted of my Mum and Dad, late 70s, my sister and our little boys (2yrs and 3yrs) and it was the perfect house for us. It accommodated to all of our needs - small garden for the boys, open space with lounge, dining and kitchen, ensuite for parents, etc. The handbook that Ben sent through the week before, explained everything and it is very thorough. With it being private gated you feel safe and from entering it very much feels like home. The house itself is well cared for and has beautiful homely features. We had a wonderful stay and lots of happy memories were made.

We stayed at Tim and Chrissie’s place whilst visiting friends who lived nearby for New Years Eve. They were really friendly and accommodating and the space was so beautiful! Spacious and really thoughtfully set up with everything we needed, including some milk and biscuits on arrival which was a lovely gesture and welcome after a long drive! Bed was so comfy we had a great nights sleep and won’t hesitate to return in the future. Excellent location to explore Devon whilst enjoying the tranquility of a small village.

Perfect for our family holiday. Well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely courtyard with rattan seating, as well as a sizeable garden which kept our dog happy. The location was very handy for all the attractions and also close to the shops. Thanks Dawn!

We had a lovely stay. The house was lovely, exactly like the photos and super clean and tidy. We comfortably fit 6 adults and 2 toddlers in the hosue for our 3 night stay. It is in a great location for easy access into Torquay and the surrounding area but is also quiet and peaceful in the evenings. The hosts were very helpful! Definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful decorated house with some wonderful sea side touches. We loved staying here with our 1 year old daughter and she thought it was all great! Definitely a special holiday together.

We had a great weekend walking the SW Coast Path from Claire’s place. Well positioned for that in a quiet area but near to a small high street. Would recommend it as a place to stay away from the bustle of the coastal towns which are all very accessible from this location. We would stay again

We were very taken with Granary Cottage. It sits in a charming location in a quiet quadrant overlooking the church and yet is just 3 minutes from the bustle, shops and cafes of Fore Street precinct and 15 minutes from tourist attractions such as Babbacombe Model Village, and historic cliff railway that glides down to Oddicombe Beach. The beach has good sand and a cafe. The cottage is also on the doorstep of the South West Coastal Path. The warm and well equipped 2 bedroom cottage itself has been renovated to a high standard and is immaculate throughout. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, a twin with the option of a third bed, and a double. The bathroom is large and sumptuous. We stayed during the Christmas holidays and were touched to find that a golden tree with lights had been set up for us and fresh milk in the fridge. There is parking outside the house but on every day but Sunday one has to move the car every 2 hours from 8am - 6pm but there’s a long stay carpark 7 mins walk away.

Place was very clean! Close to Babacombe Beach which was very beautiful!
