Lovely beach and coastal path close by. We went for a walk to fossekleiva culture house and picked raspberries when there was no bathing. The house had nice outdoor area with large garden and terrace.

The cabin was in a beautiful location, with incredible views over the water. Everything in the cabin was easy to find and use. I'd definitely recommend hiring a car, so you can explore Holmsbu and nearby towns. When we had to message, both Ingunn and Hilde were very quick to respond. We booked the hot tub for our final night too, which I would definitely recommend. The locals are very friendly and helpful. And it was beautiful to see some snow too

A beautiful stay, the place was clean and tidy and has everything that you need. We loved being surrounded by nature, would love to return again one day!

We had four wonderful days here. A lovely and idyllic place, sheltered and peaceful. Had such a great time that we extended our planned stay. Rolf always responded quickly and was very nice. Highly recommended.

Spacious and lovely curated cabin with lots of beautiful details and a good mix of old and new. Very private because there are a lots of trees around but at the same time there is an amazing ocean view. Well equipped kitchen, lots of sleeping and eating space for big groups. Nice for sunny days but also cozy autumn days with a fire and a good book. Thanks for having us. We loved it and will be back :)

We loved our stay! We felt very comfortable.The location was great, too. We just loved every minute of our visit.

Annabel and Fred are very warm hosts and have prepared their guest house with a fine sense of aesthetics: with exposed wooden beams, a well-equipped kitchen and a large dining table, with a wood-burning stove, a cozy sofa, memorabilia from old times and fresh flowers from the garden. From the main room you have an unobstructed view of the sea, now and then you can hear the sheep bleating softly. It is not far to a small secluded bathing area where you can even make a fire. Late at night, fog lies over the sheep pasture, moon and stars shine into the twilight - it is simply beautiful there!

For those who love to enjoy nature undisturbed and/or swim, this is the perfect location. Except for a single resident on the other side of the lake Klostervannet, you won't see anyone here. I felt like I was out of the inhabited world. Erik and his wife have decorated the cabin very personally, I suspect they stay there often myself. There is a good stove with oven (bring your own oven bowl), a nice fireplace, a barbecue, several places outside to sit and a jetty and a rowing boat by the lake. There are games for the children and they can also indulge themselves with scavenger hikes, tree climbing, running, etc. If they have a bike with them, they can cycle back and forth here without danger. There is gas (the refrigerator also runs on that) but no running water and electricity. Erik had 50 liters of drinking water for me, which was more than sufficient. And for when dark, there are numerous candles and tea lights and lighters at all. I would also like to experience winter here!

Lovely cosy accommodation and a very kind host

The house has a great location, you can see the sea from the living room window, but by car you can also get to Tønsberg quickly. The bathroom is modern and clean, the kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances. We would come back any time.

We are Mr. 4, the year in a row, and enjoy it every time.

Fantastic stay at Solstua! Host Tone has made it possible to make you feel at home, in every way. The cabin is furnished with good fabrics, furniture and colors, which allowed us to immediately lower our shoulders. Extra cozy with fresh flowers from the area, in vases on the tables, when we checked in. Both adults and children enjoyed it here; plenty of space both inside and outside for play and relaxation, walking distance to shop, beaches and forest. Also plus with good selection of table linens and cookware, for any purpose. All of the info was easily accessible and also quick response from Tone, if necessary. We have really had a lovely cabin holiday and definitely recommend Solstua,. And we, we'd love to come back! Thank you so much for a great holiday vibe!

Sonia's cabin is a delightful place to stay surrounded by beautiful trees and with views of the water. The cabin is perfect for relaxing walks, reading or cooking. the island has lots to see but above all is in a beautiful setting, close to Horten, the water and walking tracks.
