TOKYO LITTLE HOUSE: 1948 home in heart of city

JenetteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were delighted with our stay at Little Tokyo House. As the other reviews mention, our hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind. The space is really special - like a time capsule from a bygone era, but with all the modern comforts you’d hope to have. We were also surprised by how quiet it was - being on a busy street we expected some noise, but it was actually quite peaceful when we had the windows and shutters drawn. The AC unit provides a nice white noise buffer. I would not hesitate to recommend this gem to anyone! We would love to visit again someday in the future. + make sure you try the delicious toasts in the cafe downstairs!!
A spacious living area features traditional wooden beams and warm wooden flooring. Sliding doors separate the space from the exterior. Natural light fills the room, highlighting the minimalist decor. Information on nearby locations is displayed on vibrant signage.

Tokyo Zen Hideaway fully renovated Kominka house

A truly lovely and unique space. Although I live in Tokyo, I stayed for a night to cook a birthday dinner for my partner in a more special setting. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped, the interior spacious and calming, and the hinoki bath a real highlight. A beautiful retreat, even for locals.
An outdoor fire pit is surrounded by natural stones, providing warmth as flames dance within. Above, string lights illuminate a nearby tree, creating a relaxing ambiance in the evening sky. Surrounding seating areas include metal chairs, enhancing the outdoor gathering space.

Very authentic place. A little small but good enough for 4-5 person. Very good location. Close to everywhere. Very quiet at night. Recommend!
A vintage-style sink is set against a backdrop of exposed brick walls, featuring a polished faucet. Colorful fabrics are draped from a wire above, with greenery visible through the windows, adding a touch of nature to the space.

The old country house transferred to Kamakura

雅婧Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house is quiet, although you can see that it is a bit old, it is well maintained, and the tiles and floors are clean. You can hand over your luggage to the host in advance, but you can only enter the room after check-in time. The Host is a very kind uncle who will carefully introduce us to the instructions for using the room facilities, and because we are two girls staying, so we said that we prepared a curtain to block the sink and bathroom door, which made us feel very safe.We checked in at the beginning of June and they prepared a slightly thicker quilt for us. Kamakura is still a little cold at night at this time, and the quilt is just right. There is a small fan in the room, and if you are afraid of the heat, you can also use it. I saw the previous reviews, and some people said that it is not convenient to turn the chandelier in the room if you are not tall enough. We have prepared a small pedal that you can step on to turn off the lights.Regarding the toiletries in the bathroom, I personally feel that the shampoo is a little dry, because my friend and I sprayed styling spray that day, so that shampoo is not very good at washing off the styling spray. You can buy portable shampoo at 711 at Kamakura Station, which is quite useful.I'll come back to stay if I have the chance ~ I didn't get to enjoy the room properly this time.
An outdoor gathering is highlighted with string lights illuminating the space. Several guests are seated around a table surrounded by nature. A barbecue grill is visible in the background, along with a wooden deck, creating a cozy atmosphere for socializing.

It was very nice yall ! This was my first time abroad and they really made it easy with all the instructions they had. The location was really nice as well it was very close to a station and shops and a shopping mall yet the area of the house was quiet. The pictures match everything and the host responded very fast to any question I had.
