Hotel vacation rentals in Tohoku Region

Friendly, easy to talk to, and a lovely owner. It was a very clean room. Personally, there was no problem, but the "Shirakami" I stayed in could hear the voices of the guests in the next room and the sound of life. There are many convenient facilities nearby, so you can feel safe if you need anything on your trip.

Great lodge in a beautiful area. Kieren was super kind and helpful for our whole stay, going out of his way for us, and making delicious food every morning and night. We were able to chat with other guests during the meals, but also we could choose not to. There is a nice spacious bath which we were able to use all to ourselves at a time of our choosing (there were few other guests). I can't recommend this place enough, if you're in the area definitely stay here!

Had an amazing stay! It is in a beautiful location and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the nearby river. The room was spacious for one person and well-furnished. The private onsen was definitely a highlight! Steve installed window screens so I didn't have any trouble with bugs in my room. But it is an older house so keep in mind there will be a few insects here and there. The two dogs are very friendly :) Steve went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay! While it was a little difficult to get around without a car, he offered to drive me to the train station and introduced me to a friend nearby who took me around for a day. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to connect with nature and spend some time in a beautiful Ryokan. Steve was a friendly and helpful host!

Great lodge. Booked a tatami room, which was right above a whitewater river. Opened the window slightly and that background sound resulted in the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. Nice lodge, has all you need. Kieren is a great host. Knows lots about the area Inc tips on the local onsen
