Vacation rentals with breakfast in Tohoku Region

The owners were fantastic. They made us feel invited, prepared a fantastic space for us, gave us food recommendations around the neighbourhood, and even made us breakfast. Staying here was a highlight of our trip, and I highly recommend it.

The former nursery building was well maintained and beautiful, and I enjoyed seafood dishes using local ingredients a day or two. At the time of your stay (August 2022), due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, only one group was rented out.A local will prepare and clean your meals during your stay.Everything from check-in to checkout was seamless.All bedding and bath facilities are comfortable. During our stay, we walked around the surrounding fishing ports and the coast, and we enjoyed walking through the trendy trail.Recommended for those who want to spend a quiet time by the sea.

I have to say that this is the highlight of this trip in Japan. Mitsuru san friendly welcomed me even I arrived early in the morning. He introduced his house and how he enjoyed his life living in country side. After some discussion, we decided to go somewhere deep inside the mountain that foregine travellers could hardly found. We had a delicious lunch and went to take a bath in an onsen that a solo traveller relying on pulic transport like me can never reach. What really inspires me is our conversation during the drive in his car which was so fruitful and informative （ I can only speak poor Japanese, but Mitsuru san would listen and gradually explain to me by his fluent English), which helps me to understand more in local life and culture. I have to express my deepest gratitude to Mitsue san（Mitsuru san's wife) for making a fascinating dinner using local food for me. I would greatly recommend here to travellers seeking for a closer experience in Japan countryside lifestyle !

It was a very beautiful and cozy space.It is also recommended to have accessibility.The food with the local ingredients was also very delicious, and everyone was very satisfied with the accommodation ^ ^

Koh was an amazing host. He was very helpful with how to best use the house. The house was very clean and comfortable!

Taka-san is one of the nicest hosts I've ever met. He gave me lots of recommendations for things to do around and thanks to him I was able to visit the small islands of Matsushima. He is a super friendly person, it was like staying at an old friend's house. His house is amazing, very comfortable with a super nice view of the port in the upstairs bedroom. There is a bus to come and go around (access to Tagajo and Shiogama), the system is a bit tricky to understand but I took it a couple of times and it's working fine 👍 I could not recommend his Airbnb enough!

The space was very beautiful. I had a pleasant stay. However, the winter around here was colder than I thought.

Great apartment, but not much at all going on in this part of Niigata. Maybe more so in the summer? Anyways, lovely apartment. Very comfortable. Just probably better for someone w a car.

We had a very pleasant stay with Yakuso. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating towards our ignorance when it came to Japanese food. The accommodation is simple, but has everything you need, similar to a Ryokan, yet more simple. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a Japanese experience.

This is the second year in a row that we've stayed with Rika and Greg. We came back because we knew it would be a wonderful weekend. Location is very close to Ishiuchi ski resort and a short drive from Echigo Yazawa station. There's a really nice onsen just down the street from the house. Rika/Greg have great recommendations for delicious restaurants nearby. The house fits two large groups comfortably with a big common area, nice kitchen, drying room, and a bathroom facility that works well for large groups. To me, that's all I can hope for in an Airbnb. What makes this place the best in Japan is Greg and Rika. They make you feel like family. Always good recommendations, always good stories, and always happy to help. Really looking forward to continuing our annual Ishiuchi tradition and see Rika and Greg next year.

This was my first time using it, but the communication before check-in was quick and flexible. We arrived at the accommodation earlier than expected on the day, but we were happy to be shown to the room right away. There is a manga space in the shared space, so I think it can be enjoyed even with children. The innkeeper was friendly and we were able to make good travel memories with the friendly atmosphere. We'd love to stay again when we visit Miyagi Zao. Thanks for your hospitality.

Loved this Airbnb! 1 hour drive from Zao Onsen ski resort and in a very beautiful and peaceful area. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and Wako San was always very helpful and kind. Thank you so much!

(Recommended points) The host is really kind. - I asked to pick you up at the nearby bus stop. The host will be in close contact with me. - I get a reply right away when I get in touch with you.The response was quick, such as changing the time. Good value for breakfast There is a hot spring (Cautionary point) Access is good if you have a car, but it is quite far from the bus stop. There is no supermarket nearby where you can get groceries.It's a good idea to buy it first Because it is close to the forest, insects may come out.Be careful if you don't like insects (Updos) I rented a car this time, so I was able to use it very comfortably. The host was kind and I had a comfortable stay I definitely want to use it again!
