Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Tohoku Region

I really love the stylish wooden house and the camp, located in a forest under hugh mountains. the indoor decoration is delicate, and all the equipments are handy. the host are super friendly and helpful. definitely will visit again

We really enjoyed our stay, adults and kids. It was the perfect place for our big group of families with kids. We liked the large spaces (play room, kitchen+dining room, bathroom, BBQ terrasse,...), well equipped and beautiful surroundings. Liane was super friendly and helpful, always replied very swiftly and tried to accommodate our requests.

This apartment is a fantastic place. The location is incredible if you’re planning on skiing - hard to beat. The unit itself is modern, well cared for, and inviting. The hosts did a fantastic job as well. Above and beyond. Nozawa Onsen is a great little town and this is the perfect spot to base your stay.

I have to say that this is the highlight of this trip in Japan. Mitsuru san friendly welcomed me even I arrived early in the morning. He introduced his house and how he enjoyed his life living in country side. After some discussion, we decided to go somewhere deep inside the mountain that foregine travellers could hardly found. We had a delicious lunch and went to take a bath in an onsen that a solo traveller relying on pulic transport like me can never reach. What really inspires me is our conversation during the drive in his car which was so fruitful and informative （ I can only speak poor Japanese, but Mitsuru san would listen and gradually explain to me by his fluent English), which helps me to understand more in local life and culture. I have to express my deepest gratitude to Mitsue san（Mitsuru san's wife) for making a fascinating dinner using local food for me. I would greatly recommend here to travellers seeking for a closer experience in Japan countryside lifestyle !

I stayed with multiple families, but the living room and table tennis space were large enough for the children to run around, and the adults could relax and chat while the children played freely, and it was very comfortable!

Felt like I had stepped in to someone else’s life. The house is lived in, with lots of little trinkets and decor that I wasn’t expecting. It was also incredibly cold at times, even with the stove and heaters running, so definitely bundle up. Overall, it was an experience, and I appreciate that.

Our group of 6 adults loved our stay at Birch Cabin. Would certainly recommend having a car, despite proximity to skii slopes, as the walk looked arduous. In our case, with a car, we had a great time with no issues. The place was as great as it looked.

What a wonderful lodge to stay in to enjoy this stunning location. Our hosts couldn’t have looked after us better. Nothing was a problem. The food was delicious and the lodge was a warm and comfortable reprieve from the snow. We had an incredible powder snowboarding experience and some onsen time. Couldn’t recommend this lodge more!

Great lodge. Booked a tatami room, which was right above a whitewater river. Opened the window slightly and that background sound resulted in the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. Nice lodge, has all you need. Kieren is a great host. Knows lots about the area Inc tips on the local onsen

Beautiful stay. Yusan and his partner are excellent hosts. Room was comfy. Had the shared onsen to myself every afternoon. 10 minute walk to Kanko gondola. 20 mins walk to Akakura restaurants. It’s a tight walk between walls of snow and road. Can be dodgy. Yusan was very helpful with lifts in the van. To the lifts in the morning and dinner in the evenings. Felt very looked after 😊

I can’t imagine how my ski trip would be if I didn’t stay at their place

3mins drive to the nearest ski lift, Lawson 5mins drive. Clean rooms and friendly host who can speak Chinese and Japanese! Hosts are helpful and will go the extra mile to help guests! Very appreciative of their hospitality. Hope to see them soon!

This house is absolutely amazing!! It's exactly like the pictures, truly a dream home. The decor inside is exquisite, with each item carefully chosen by the owner from around the world. Every detail is thoughtful and unique. I highly recommend this place, 5 stars without a doubt!
