The apartment is located on the 6th floor of in a classic, fully functional 1960s building with a standard elevator. This is a lived-in city home with the architectural character of its era, not a sterile, newly built luxury hotel. We love hosting independent, relaxed travellers who appreciate local charm. If you are looking for flawlessness, I respectfully ask that you book elsewhere. Smoking is permitted on the balcony only, but I kindly request that you take the horrible butts with you and stick them in the trash chute. Because we are right on the lakes in the middle of Copenhagen, the balcony experiences standard city air and dust. Local spiders can spin a new outdoor web in a matter of minutes. If the sight of a spiderweb outside ruins your holiday, this is not the property for you.

Skansehage

Stay on a magical 150m2 houseboat in the middle of Copenhagen with 360° water views, private swimming ladder and 200 meters to the metro. Skansehage is a 32-meter-long houseboat from 1958 built in wood, now transformed from a car ferry into a floating home. Possibility to swim both winter and summer. Large front decks and aft decks with urban farming, outdoor dining, and sunbathing. There are 5 meters to the ceiling inside with open living space with kitchen, dining and sleeping area. On the lower deck there are 2 cabins and 1 master bedroom as well as toilet, bath and music scene.

Quiet street, but only a few blocks away from nightlife, dining, and culture. The famous lakes of Copenhagen are the backdoor neighbors. 1 bedroom with a 2,7m wide bed, where 3 can sleep if necessary. Living room (with a sleep-ready couch for 2), a dining room, and a well-stocked kitchen free to use for anyone who likes cooking. It is also ideal for couples travelling with small children. We're very relaxed and down to earth. Other guests often praise our attention to detail and quirky decor.

lovely apartment located by the beautiful lakes, in Copenhagen. Everything is within walking distance, such as Tivoli, Strøget, Torvehallerne, with its large selection of food, wine and generally just a good atmosphere of people from Denmark and a lot of tourists. The apartment itself exudes personality and functions as a private home, where you are in direct contact with people who either walk or cycle by and not least the many runners who use the lakes as a breathing space for their exercise.

The apartment is in a peaceful and central location, within walking distance of the city, the Metro station and the main train station. It contains a bright bedroom, a large living room and dining kitchen with access to the balcony. There is an elevator inside the property itself and a private parking space in the neighboring property. The apartment is directly adjacent to Sankt Jørgens Sø, a lovely and green recreational area in the middle of the city. Feel free to ask about a longer stay.

Update: In 2025, we renovated our apartment, opening the space by removing a wall between a bedroom and the living room. The result is a brighter, more spacious home for two guests. (+ baby 0–2 years.) The apartment is bathed in natural light and styled with a blend of Danish design, wooden floors, and distinctive artwork—creating an inviting atmosphere. Ideally located, you’ll be close to Copenhagen’s best restaurants, cafés, and cultural highlights—the perfect base for a memorable stay.

You'll love my place because of the high-ceilinged mansion, the newly renovated design by Philip Starck and Arne Jacobsen in the mansion apartment, the good barbecue options in the courtyard, the good parking conditions. My place is good for business travelers, families (with children), and large groups.
