Vacation rentals in Timberlost

Communication, cozy & clean space with ease of access were the favorite features at the top of the list for this stay. We are grateful for the supplies, extra towels and bedding as well as the opportunity to bring our family pet along. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place just outside the city with plenty of outdoor space and close fishing spots.

We loved everything about the Bhombay Beach House! It was private, cozy, and super clean. We appreciated the full kitchen (coffeemaker/coffee, full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glassware, and utensils), since we like to save $$$ by making breakfast while on vacation. Bob was very responsive without being intrusive. He provided extra amenities without our asking (umbrellas and nighttime snacks!). The large-screen TV included Netflix ... lots of DVDs, too. The views of the beach (Lake Huron) from the living room and kitchen were gorgeous. It was too chilly to use the firepit, but we walked the beach on our last day, which was lovely. LOVED being so close to the water! We were just up the street from the ferry to Mackinac Island. We had never been, and it didn't disappoint. Horse-drawn carriages, the Grand Hotel, funky restaurants, lots of bicycles, fudge! Make sure to visit Bob (and Thom's) store, Cottage UP. Great finds! In short, a perfect stay in every way. This was an awesome trip. The house was so clean, we didn't even have to wipe down a countertop! Everything is as described in the pictures! Gregory answered any questions we had so promptly. The location was wonderful, we set out by the firepit each evening and watched barges across the street go down the water way. The house was equipped with everything we needed, the drawers were labeled, very easy to find whatever you needed. The location was perfect, restaurants and breweries were close and the local fish, walleye and whitefish were excellent. Mackinac Island Ferry in St Ignace was very close and the Island is so worth the trip. We did the Carriage House Island tour, I strongly recommend this tour when visiting the island! Sault Sue Marie was just an hour away, we did the Soo Lock Tour it was very informational. We had an added extra, Canada was having an Air Show and we were able to enjoy the Snowbird's show!

It's a very nice older cabin. Very quiet and peaceful area. Many kitchen and bathroom amenities. Owner offered to help in any way, but didn't bother us. We LOVED the private beach area: within easy walking distance, beautiful sunsets on the bay, and we watched the big ships traveling to the Soo Locks / Superior. Brimley is close to the Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, St. Ignace, Point Iroquois Lighthouse, Whitefish Point Lighthouse, and the Shipwreck Museum. Staying here allowed us to stay in one location while easily traveling by day to many beautiful places. We would come again if coming to the Upper Peninsula.

If you are planning a visit to Whitefish Point area, I strongly suggest staying at "The Bear Den". Amanda and Jason have put a lot of time into the place and it shows. They are A+ host IMO. Both of them are easy too communicate with, check in / check out was a breeze. The online concierge is very useful tool with loads of valuable information. The home and location made for a perfect Base Glamp with my group of outdoor adventurers. Hardest part of the experience was convincing myself it was time to leave. One Destination I definitely plan on returning too.

We loved the cabin! The view is AMAZING--the lake is right off the deck, with stunning views from the bedroom and living room any time of day. It was halfway between Sault Ste. Marie and Pancake Bay, making either easy to get to, and it had everything the two of us could need. We would come back any time!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in early November. We could not have asked for a better weekend, nor a better place to stay. We took the ferry from Charlevoix and rented a car from the Burton's as well as the apartment. The car was waiting for us at the ferry dock, which was very easy to find. While we could have easily walked to the rental place, it was really nice having the car right there. Our space was ready, so we unpacked and started to explore the island. We were also able to pick up our friend at the Welke Airport via Island Airways, which is another great way to travel (quicker than the ferry with the 20-minute flight). While it was a slower time on the island, we relaxed, made dinners in our own kitchen, enjoyed a wonderful view of Lake Michigan out our front window, and spent time exploring the island. It doesn't get much better! Thank you, Carol and Dan, for offering such a great space and making it so easy for us to relax!

Great place for a weekend getaway. House was very welcoming, clean, and all the amenities we needed were there. Great spot and great view of the lake. Highly recommend for people wanting a small place for a peaceful getaway.

This apartment had room to spare! It was well-stocked, very clean, and was filled with sunlight. What struck us the first time we entered, and each time afterwards, was just how roomy the apartment was. The 10-foot ceilings only added to the feeling of spaciousness. And since we were there after the busiest part of the season, it was also blessedly quiet. The attached deck was a bonus that offered a beautiful view of the harbor.
