No.18 - A perfect island getaway

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved this home and would love to stay again! It was immaculately clean, well equipped, and has a fab garden, which we were able to use a lot due to the gorgeous weather. Close to shops, great cafes and the beach. Really quick and helpful responses from hosts. We really appreciated the lovely welcome gift and the bucket and spade got a lot of use - thank you! We will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be back.

A collection of boats is docked in a marina, creating a serene waterfront scene. The clear water reflects the boats and the blue sky above, while distant land is visible on the horizon. Various sizes and styles of boats showcase the local maritime atmosphere.

Modern comfortable and self contained living space

Definitely one of our favourite airbnb stays. Firstly, because the bed was super comfortable and the power shower very welcome after a long day of walking. Secondly, because the kitchenette with laundry facilities, coupled with local corner shops made this a wondefully relaxed place to stay on the English Coastal Path. We were glad we elected to stay for two nights and had no trouble with buses to and from Maldon, which was our onward destination. I would strongly recommend this airbnb to anyone walking the coast or just wanting to explore this lovely part of Essex more generally.

Quiet and cosy self-contained garden lodge.

KayleighRating, 5 stars1 day ago
I enjoyed our little quiet beach getaway immensely. I chose it for the beautiful garden, it looked quiet and peaceful and got exactly what we wanted and needed. The host has excellent taste and was so helpful and friendly. I needed some help with the restaurants close by, literally 5/10 mins walk down the road. friendly, kind locals also. The Hutch is immaculate, stocked up with everything a family, couple or friend group could need. Was so wonderful to sit in the garden, surrounded by an obviously loved, and well maintained garden. choice of relaxing places to chill , a lovely rattan set and egg chair, My eldest was in heaven tucked up on the cosy sofa, with super soft blanket watching his favourite shows on YouTube and playing Zombies Vs Halloween. stocked kitchen with all the essential amenities, easy to use, lush shower 🚿. technology galore with fans, lighting and soft, comfortable bedding 🛌 enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep and and headed back to the City.

Modern, comfortable self contained living space

We absolutely loved staying in west mersea at Jill's place. We visited for our 6 year anniversary and we're welcomed to a sweet card and a drink from Jill, left out for us in the kitchen. It was such a great stay. Jill is a wonderful host and such lovely touches in the rooms, everything thought-out so well, from kitchenware to two player games, and extensive info about the local area and spots to visit. The location was perfect, walkable to the beach and local restaurants and pubs. Short drive from the vineyard a d lovely beautiful spots. The island is just magic, the community feel is lovely and friendly. Will 💯 be visiting again and definitely staying with Jill - thanks so much xx

Beautiful Family-Friendly Victorian Rectory

RuthRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had such an incredible time at this house. We were all pleasantly surprised at how great the house was and all the amenities. I don’t think the advert does it justice. We were a big group of 21 with 11 little ones who were in HEAVEN. We got very lucky with the weather and spent the whole weekend in the glorious grounds. We brought our own paddling pool and it was perfect. The aspect of the house means you get stunning sunsets and the back terrace is a real sun trap - long evenings sunbathing until 7pm! The surrounding area is stunning and the local village is so beautiful!! Walking distance (even with a million young children) to the village shop and then on to the very well equipped play park. We only wish we could have stayed for a week, the kids never wanted to leave. Some very special memories made here! Rachel the host is on the end of the phone for any questions and was excellent at responding to our queries.
A hot tub is positioned on a wooden deck surrounded by a scenic landscape. The tub is filled with bubbling water and offers views of lush greenery and the distant estuary under a partly cloudy sky.

Bellropes - Modern Countryside Retreat Sleeps 27

MaureenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wow! This house was amazing for our group of 18. We fit so comfortably - there were even a couple of rooms we didn't need! The grounds are beautiful and spacious, and the common areas were absolutely perfect for our large gatherings (which is where we spent most of our time!). The hot tub was a massive hit, and we have to mention the Raj Indian Ocean restaurant just five minutes away – the food was incredible. This was truly one of the best weekends ever, and the house and its fantastic spaces were key to that!
A modern bathroom features sleek fixtures and a walk-in shower with glass enclosure. The walls are lined with textured tiles in neutral tones, and a small window allows natural light to enter. A black countertop complements the white toilet, creating a clean and functional space.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was super quiet and the view was fantastic. The outdoor space was lovely, with garden furniture and secure for our dogs. Sandra was super helpful and responded to our messages straight away. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars. The communication with Sandra was outstanding 😊
