Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Thunder Bay, Unorganized

Grandma's cozy cottage lives up to its reputation. It's decorated with a unique and fun collection of antiques. It is a great place to stay after a long day skiing exploring in the snow. I especially like the fact that it gives you a real taste of what it would be like to live in Calumet.

We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the welcome pack of treats and the nice note welcoming us on our arrival. Adding a clothes dryer would be a nice extra touch for the future.

This was one the most affordable and spacious options in lutsen. The affordability and space does not compromise it's aesthetic appeal either, as the interior is well decorated, and the outdoor view gives you a clear look of the mountain

We loved our holiday skiing stay! We had two families, nine people - 4 adults and 5 young adults. The ski in/ out access was great and there was plenty of space for all of us to hang out in the great room. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we cooked all our meals in! There is only seating for 7 at the table, but we moved a couple counter stools to the table so we could all sit there. We had some issues with the heat in the upstairs bedroom (too hot) but Shayla was responsive and helped us trouble shoot. We would stay here again!

Jess and Paul were really responsive, welcoming and made our guests feel at home. This luxurious north shore cabin, located on the lush mountain side of Pincushion Mountain, has a super peaceful atmosphere and convenient access to open trails. The cabin was super beautiful, clean and well stocked with amenities. The area was super commutable to restaurants, shops, and Lake Superior. I highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, easygoing, and adventurous vacation. This cabin is worth booking over and over again. Thank you again for the awesome stay!

Absolutely wonderful!! Great stay, the home was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The backyard was exceptional. We asked to have some family over for a visit and the host graciously allowed us to do so which enabled us to spend some quality time with my out of province aunt and uncle. Thanks so much for a lovely stay. This home is truly as advertised!!

We had a wonderful stay. The end unit is great for a beautiful view! The location is amazing to Ski in/Ski out! Very cozy with the fireplace. Love the large deck. Jesse and Dean were very helpful and quick to respond with my questions. Thank you for allowing my furry kids to join us!! It was really fun!!!!

Very nice place as it was very clean and well kept. Was a great place to stay and I have already booked this location again… I recommend this place for anyone who wants to ride the trails as it’s just down the street. Gas station is close along with anything else that you may need.

Jereme, was so helpful with all aspects of our 4 night stay at this Beautiful spot near the Poplar River. Skiing out was a breeze and we had enough snow to ski all the way back as well. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool at Caribou and everyone enjoyed this wonderful skiing experience. Great host and great spot at Lutsen Mountains!

Wonderful place with Lake Superior access that feels secluded but is only a few mins to town. Was clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again!

Philip is an extremely friendly, kind and accommodating host. Everything was well communicated which made our arrival and check in stress free. We had a minor issue during our stay that was no fault of Philip’s and the issue was completely unexpected. Immediately upon notifying Philip he went above and beyond to correct the issue and accommodate us in any way possible to keep it from affecting our stay. We were so pleasantly surprised at his response and desire to help. Truly amazing and unheard of customer service in this day and age. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him! You can’t ask for a better host or a more lovely property. Everything was clean and comfortable. The setting is peaceful, cozy, and private. And the cabin and surrounding area is lovely and truly a little piece of heaven. Thank you, Philip, for a lovely weekend at North Shore Cottages. Hope to see you again soon.

This was my second time staying here, and it was great again. unfortunately the power went out in the area, and Rick even came and checked up on us. Really appreciated that. Would defintely recommend this simple place to stay.

Title: Perfect Spot: Amazing View Philip’s Northshore Cottage was the perfect place for our extended family to celebrate our son’s MTU graduation. With five bedrooms, large living area with plenty of seating, and a fully stocked kitchen, the 8 of us were able to enjoy both family and private time. We enjoyed walking the beach, especially at night seeking Yopperlites. The sauna was a great way to warm up after a couple of hour out in the cool air. The master suite was elegant with amazing sheets and the entire house exceeded our needs and expectations.

We just loved Cathi’s cabin! It was our first time staying at a cabin without electricity or running water and the description of the property was very accurate and allowed for us to plan appropriately. The property was well kept, clean and safe. We had such a great time!

great wilderness camp, great trail access and awesome service. out of a 5 star rating I'll give it a 10. we had a great time and it was just what we where looking for.

Really enjoyed our three night stay at the Pot Belly cabin in January. We came up here to XC ski and it was a joy to put our skis on at the cabin door and literally ski across the snow-covered (and closed to car traffic road) and access the beautiful Bally Creek XC ski trails. It was so peaceful and quiet and night! Being in an off-grid cabin is a special and worthwhile experience. We brought our dogs and had a cozy stay in the one room cabin. Oh—and the stars in the night sky were sparkling and will stick out in my memory!

This was a great property. It was clean and like the description. It is relatively close and accessible to local attractions. Richard was quick to respond, and he was helpful with any questions we had. We would rent this place again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at the Bally creek cabins! They’re super rustic and charming and were exactly what we needed. Make sure you’ve read the details of what you’re booking and are ready for truly RUSTIC. Our specific cabin had a little bit of a hike in, but they provided a wheelbarrow to help carry our things. As long as you’re looking to fully go off grid, you’ll love it!

Cute little cabin in the woods. It was a great place to stay. I stayed in Oct, even though it was 30 degrees outside the cabin stayed warm enough even when the fire went out during the night. Nice trails, would be great for skiing during the winter. Had everything you needed to feel at home. Sauna was great also. I think it is a little overpriced with no running water or electric compared to other places, but was very nice. Better than I expected.

Richard was very accommodating and communicative during my stay. This is a prime location for anyone going to Mt. Bohemia. I will definitely be back.
