The Pentland Hills and Penicuik Estate are a stones throw away, providing walks with panoramic countryside & city views. After a day's exploring you can relax and unwind in the pubs and restaurants nearby.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Central Edinburgh can be reached on foot/train in 45 mins. Built in 1820, it has been lovingly furnished to create a warm home-from-home. With parking for two cars, a sociable open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, and three comfortable double bedrooms set across three floors, it's the perfect base for families, friends, and Edinburgh adventures.
