Vacation rentals with lake access in The Colony

We just finished 3 weeks here as our home renovation was being completed. As a local family, we still had “normal” life to navigate with work and kids’ school, but it was really nice to come back to some time at the lake or in the hot tub in the evenings. The host was very responsive to any of our questions or comments, going above and beyond when we needed to stop back by to look for a lost item. We really appreciated this ‘home away from home’ while we navigated our whole house renovation. We would definitely recommend this house to other families.

Absolutely loved the Plake House!! We had our wedding here, Nicole the house manager was so accommodating to us, and even let us tour the space before our stay! She allowed us to come onsite and install garden speakers, and allowed us late check out! Really couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue, and a place for my family to stay for the whole weekend, and definitely not at the price we got it for!

We really enjoyed our stay, we brought our little ones down by the lake where they enjoyed skipping rocks. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Ruben was very responsive and friendly the entire time, checking in if we needed anything.

A peaceful, beautiful and convenient location! Fantastic amenities accompanied by modern and clean interior and exterior furnishings. The pool is an incredible reprieve on a hot Texas day with a serene view of the natural beauty of the adjoining park. A true hidden gem that provides extraordinary ease of access to the entire metroplex of DFW. This location should be recommended to everyone! Keith is an extremely friendly host and quick to communicate!

We had a lovely stay at this spacious home. Even with 8 of us, we had plenty of space and never felt crowded. Everyone had a bed and a seat at the dining room table for meals. The teens enjoyed swimming in the pool. Sreejumon was quick to respond to questions, and even reached out to check on us when the area was under a severe thunderstorm watch. Downtown Dallas is less than an hour's drive. Not too far, but the area is far enough from the city that you don't feel the city effect. There are plenty of shops, grocery stores, and gas stations nearby if you need them. Overall, this was a great experience and we would choose this space again when we're in the area.

This stay was everything I hoped for and more. The space looked exactly like the photos! super cozy, impeccably clean (seriously, top-tier cleanliness), and had such a calm, serene energy that made it easy to unwind. Sarah was an absolute gem; friendly, responsive, and so easy to communicate with. And that view? The perfect cherry on top. I’d definitely stay here again without hesitation!

I enjoyed staying in Rob’s Airbnb! It was very clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and everything matched the description. I especially enjoyed the beautiful park right down the road!

I had a wonderful stay. I spent four months here on a business trip, working remotely. The location was excellent; it was quiet, and Asongue was very friendly. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I decided to spend a few days alone after our courthouse wedding. It was our first time in an Airbnb, and it was perfect. Lekien always answered all our questions and fast. The place is a very beautiful, you feel at home. 10/10 👌🥂

I stayed in just the guest house of this property where the main property is also an AirBnB. If you have a large group, this is a great location to rent both and a beautiful area in back to host nice group and guests. Separated nicely from other properties for a nice experience with lots of space and privacy.

It was PERFECT. Very cozy, beautiful, comfortable, and Mario thought of EVERYTHING. He even provided a kennel in the living room to put our two dogs, a Chihuahua mix, and an Austrailian Shepherd, so we didn't have to lug our big kennels in from the truck. And the biggest deal for me: DIMMER SWITCHES! Do you know how many times I have wished for dimmer switches on lighting at AirBnB's? And Mario had them on EVERY ceiling light AND in the bathroom! I'm a blue-eyed guy, a little light sensitive at night and this and other features made me so comfortable! We had a dear friend over to dinner and Mario had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook grass-fed rib eye steaks! I found the bed extremely comfortable. No back problems at all the next morning. Heads up for some folks, it is a 3rd floor unit, which I loved because of the deck off the back, but for some you will need to take your time on the stairs. However, my friend's 80+ year old mother was able to make it up with some help.

Jalayne’s place was perfect for what we were looking for. A quiet lake retreat, with tons of things for the lake! We went paddle boarding and had a relaxing weekend at the lake after a wedding! I would recommend this place. The kitchen is cooking friendly, and a nice getaway from the busy home life!

This was a very quaint and cute home. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful. Thank you so much, we enjoyed our trip.

The beautifully curated decor and the amazing host made this stay one of our favorites. The eclectic style of the property and the amenities will have us returning soon.
