Such a great place. Accommodated us all well. Kitchen well equipped for our needs. Lovely outside area. The cake was such a lovely welcome touch. We met Giles so welcoming, helpful and very friendly, we would highly recommend the Swallows. We went for a Sunday lunch the village pub lovely food. We visited the Amelia's Flower Farm well worth a visit. A great stay.

We had an amazing time over the bank holiday weekend! The barn was self check-in, but Fran went above and beyond to ensure everything was clearly communicated and stress-free. We arrived a bit earlier than expected, and Fran kindly allowed us to check in early, such a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference to our journey. The barn itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and plenty of outdoor space to explore. It was the perfect countryside escape. We were travelling with a 2-year-old, so the thoughtful touches like books, toys, and a stair gate were hugely appreciated. The only minor challenge was a few small, unexpected steps throughout the barn- absolutely fine for older kids and adults, but a bit tricky for our toddler to navigate. That being said, we couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s a beautiful, peaceful spot with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely host, very friendly. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. So peaceful to sit outside in the evening or morning. Spare blankets everywhere so easy to keep cozy. Would absolutely stay here again!

This was a great location for our stay near Sidmouth where we had friends visiting over the weekend. Sidbury is a charming English village just outside Sidmouth, with a lot of traditional thatched cottages. The property has a lovely little garden where we sat and enjoyed the scenery and listened to the stream running past. It was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway to rest and recuperate.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Cider Barn. It was peaceful with beautiful views and we were lucky that the weather was good so we were able to make use of the pretty garden at the back. The house had a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed and a good shower. It was lovely to meet Sandra who was very friendly and the homemade oat cookies were delicious and much appreciated as were the eggs and milk. We would love to come and stay again in the future.

We had a lovely few days in this gorgeous house. Unbelievable views, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Lovely secluded getaway with nice walks nearby. There is an excellent pub and a railway station in Yeoford which is about 30 minutes walk. Pristine, cosy, high quality accommodation. We hope to return soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Roger and Bindy's cottage. Roger welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around. He was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There were plenty of lovely treats waiting for us and our bat-loving boys were over the moon when they got to use Roger's bat detector. The cottage was very cosy and beautiful, very clean with comfortable beds. There were plenty of games and toys for little ones as well as grown ups and our hosts made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Watching the bats at night was our absolute highlight and our boys will remember that forever. We made some wonderful memories which we will treasure forever and we can't thank Roger and Bindy enough for letting us stay at their beautiful place.

Beautiful, private cabin with everything we needed and more! Friendly, responsive host who greeted us on arrival, explained everything about the cabin, local restaurants and things to see and do. Lovely, peaceful surroundings with plenty of ways to relax and enjoy it. Ciders in the fridge were a great addition and overall an amazing way to spend our mini-honeymoon!

My wife and I had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend. We stayed in the beautiful cabin on the lake, this cabin was amazing throughout. It had everything you needed, super comfortable, plenty of room. We were cosy with the log burner while watching all the wild life. Our dogs had the best time with us. We got to meet the donkeys, sheep, pigs, horses and the dogs! It was exactly the weekend we needed. Thank you to Andy and Sam who were so friendly and kind, we will be recommending friends to go and stay! We had the best time, thank you again.

We loved our stay at Ruby Rose and we're definitely coming back. Denise was fantastic to deal with from the minute we booked. The place is amazing- we travelled with our daughter (5) and our dog and it was perfect. Lots of fun to be had outside and everything inside Ruby Rose was spotless, as described and beautiful. Denise supplied tea and coffee as well as an amazing welcome cake for us. The chickens were an added bonus as well. Can't recommend it highly enough!

My friends and I stayed at Louise’s place for a long weekend, and it was a wonderful time. The house fit 11 adults no problem. Lovely and quiet, the pool was so much fun, and we made good use of the fire pit to have s’mores. Harry gave us a tour of the dairy farm & beehives, & let us see the calves which was lovely. Louise was a fab host, very good communicator and always at hand if needed. Great stay overall!

Perfect place for a couple. Centrally located for whole of South Hams area. Really quiet. The host was really welcoming. Accommodation was really well presented and spotlessly clean. Super bathroom and a really comfortable bed. We’d certainly stay there again!

We spent a lovely, restful stay at Fiona’s place which was spotless and beautifully furnished. The dogs were very much at home and the bowls/treats etc left for them were nice touches. We only stayed one night but would love to go back for longer to explore the eateries and walks Fiona had the taken time to let guests know about. A lovely host!

Amazing coach house . Very clean and tasteful decor. Felt at home straightaway after Karen and Steve greeted us. Had a lovely couple of nights and enjoyed watching the alpacas with our dog. Great location. Enjoyed walking into the village and had a lovely meal at The Saddlers, 5 min walk.

We loved are stay at no3, lovely quiet location and so peaceful, very friendly layback atmosphere in the village and being able to walk straight onto the moor, a real bonus, found parking spaces easily near the cottage. The, Taw River Inn, in Sticklepath and, The Tor, in the village were great for food. Ledford Gorge is definitely worth a visit, just magical.

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing stay at Hollycroft Barn, from the moment we arrived Tracey was so helpful, showed us around and made us feel at home, she even baked us a beautiful welcome cake! The barn is absolutely stunning, and so homely, we didn’t want to leave, the grounds are amazing, Tracey even brought down the lambs so we could bottle feed them! Fantastic host and fantastic property, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

We had a great stay here! Christina was really friendly making us feel right at home. She gave us some local recommendations and allowed us to come and go with zero hassle. The surroundings are stunning and we could have sat by the window all day. Great walking near by. Beach is a drive able day trip too.

Sally’s place was everything we needed and more. We booked very last minute - literally the day before - and still arrived to fresh bread, scones, and clotted cream waiting for us. Sally had even thought to leave fresh milk and milk alternatives, which was such a thoughtful touch. The space was perfect for the two of us - exactly like the photos and absolutely spotless. Although it’s self check-in, we were lucky enough to bump into Sally when we arrived and she gave us such a warm welcome. She also shared some great local tips - we especially loved the Church House Inn she recommended. It’s a lovely little pub within walking distance, with great food and a fab beer garden. All in all, we honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. We had a brilliant few days exploring the area - just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. The barn was beautiful and spacious and perfect for socialising with friends or family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, our only gripe was that we wish we had booked longer!!

Perfect in everyway for us to enjoy time together. Well equipped kitchen, homely and modern. Lovely surroundings. We loved the hot tub.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderful cottage for three weeks—and we honestly could have stayed much longer! The cottage itself is perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen had all the tools and essentials for cooking (which we really appreciated), and there were plenty of toys for our two boys—both indoors and out—which made the stay extra special for them. The space is spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel instantly like home. The garden was one of our favorite spots—beautiful, peaceful, and a perfect place to unwind. Our sons had so much fun playing there. Helen and Louis were fantastic hosts—warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. They were full of great recommendations for day trips, local food, and things to do in the area, and were a real pleasure to talk to. We’re genuinely sad to leave and would love to come back again. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic place to stay and Emma and Kevin are the perfect balance of friendly while also giving you privacy. The whole place is so well equipped and the wood-fired hot tub is so relaxing, even in the rain! The location is fantastic for Dartmoor and Totnes, and the local pub is fab.
