Cabin vacation rentals in Taylor River

We recently stayed at Jay’s place in Alma for a ski trip, and we had the best time. The accommodation was perfect and, honestly, one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The level of detail he’s put into all the little things makes for such an exceptional stay. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, cozy stay away from the noise but close to the ski field.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – Perfect Cabin Getaway in the Colorado Woods We had an absolutely incredible stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! Nestled in a peaceful, secluded spot surrounded by Colorado’s natural beauty, it was the perfect escape from the hustle of daily life. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the porch, listening to the birds and soaking in the fresh mountain air. Evenings by the fire (indoor or outdoor!) were just as amazing. Our hosts were communicative, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Whether you're looking for adventure, or just a quiet weekend to unwind, this cabin is the perfect spot. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

This was such an amazing week with the family. The house was beautiful, tucked into such a great place to explore. We love hiking and hiked everyday we stayed. There’s great little trail close to the house for a short hike. Then we went up to Wheeler Lake (still snowy/runoff). Still super fun! Beaver creek for a relaxing hike. Hot tub every night watching the wildlife wander by. Didn’t see Sheila! Maybe another time. Thank you so much Jody!

Absolutely bliss. Gorgeous. Mountain View from the hot tub was my favorite. A great hike less than 10 minutes away. Quiet, private and super clean!! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay near Fairplay. Loved calling this home for a week.

Russ was friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. The cabin is beautiful, looks just like the pictures. Peaceful place with great views! This place is fully equipped with pans, cutting boards, blender and everything you need if you’d like to cook. Very homey feel! Family and I had a great time!

John and his ranch were both absolutely perfect. So impressed - house was clean and well equipped with towels, firewood, pantry supplies, and anything we could ever need. Not to mention the best stars we’ve ever seen from the hot tub!!!You can tell John really pays attention to the details that make a trip special and make people feel at home. The property is absolutely stunning and we couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you John!

Due to low competition and a decent price point compared to competition this place does well. I would rate it 3-4 stars based on just the mere location. The rating goes to 4-5 with the view you don’t get in Denver and the hot tub. Negatives- right off the highway so your heart rate goes up entering and leaving. There’s no shampoo just some cheap dollar store soap which I guess you can use for shampoo. Up to you.. bring your own if you want. Not really a tranquille mountain getaway as there’s a cabin infront of your nice Mountain View(not shown in the photos) and the sound of the highway outside. Positives- Hot tub with nice Mountain View’s, which make you forget about the highway noise and hopefully you fill it with good conversation with whoever you’re with. The prairie dogs scurrying around out back are cute. Conclusion- I have to say the hot tub saved it. Keep the hot tub maintained and people will be happy.

This is a truly magical place. We had the best time paddle boarding and fishing in Twin Lakes. From early morning coffee down by the roaring river to long soaks in the luxurious bathtubs at the end of the day —- we had such a lovely experience. The small touches and style choices have made this home so charming and inviting. Barb was such a wonderful point of contact and offered an open line of communication during our entire visit. It’s easy to tell when your host is invested in you having the best possible time. My family left feeling well-rested and full of blueberry pancakes. What more can you really ask for? It is well with my soul. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

We absolutely loved our stay. Our host were great, always responsive and friendly. We loved the privacy and quietness of the cabin's location, and the view was great. Definitely don't get any of this in Houston where we're from. Didn't get to explore the property that much due to the snow but it looks like it would be fun to explore during the summertime. We will definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.

FANTASTIC HOST and SPOT! You will be sad you didn’t book if you don’t. Tim is hospitable knowledgeable and just as warm as his hand built cabins. The thoughtfulness in the space was very noticeable . Perfect stay. Best Airbnb experience… Can not express this enough!

This cabin is wonderful!!! It was cozy and clean. Everything you need is provided. I look forward to renting here again if we are in the area.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

Love love love this place. My favorite AirBnB so far! The home is right in the heart of this cute town. I walked every day to get coffee & groceries. There were hiking trails everywhere that you could walk to right from the house. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful cabin and location, private and lovely surroundings. Kitchen has everything you need, great stove, and outside grill. Gorgeous patio with a firepit. The outdoor shower is wonderful - plenty of warm/hot water, and the views are lovely. The outhouse is very close and clean - no odor at all. You can see and hear the Thompson Creek from the cabin, and the hiking options are plentiful. The bedroom loft is cozy, and the bed is comfy. If you want to unplug and relax, this is a perfect place. Close enough to explore Carbondale, Redstone, Marble, and Aspen and beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful enough to stay where you are. Besides the charm of the cabin and location, the hosts stand out for their responsiveness, hospitality, and great love for the property and its history.

My sibings and I, three of us ranging in age between 76 and 82, spend three nights at Julian's Hacienda BV, in mid June 2025. This 3 bedroom house has a spacious kitchen with a pub level table just steps from the stove, for in kitchen meals, seating 6. The living room couch and TV are close to the kitchen, making it possible to cook, eat, and converse while keeping an eye on the programming, if desired. We really should have spent more time on the patio, but it was only 10 minutes into town, and only 15 minutes to Cottonwood Hot Springs. Cottonwood is a very rustic, friendly, informal place to enjoy the mineral waters ... definitely not your high end Hilton environment, but clean and unique. Near Cottonwood, we toured the new hot springs called Charlotte's. This facility opened in 2024, and features a gigantic greenhouse, with a waterfall, and resident parrots and iguana. Traversing the greenhouse, one finds three beautiful, concrete pools that could easily accommodate 8 or more

The cabin was very comfortable and attractive. The description was accurate. Sitting by the river in very peaceful.

We had a wonderful winter time stay. The cabin was incredibly well stocked which made the snow-machine access only so easy and less stressful. very comfy and cozy. I don't have a single recommendation on how it could be improved. hope to have the opportunity to stay again!

This is our favorite AirBnB to date. We are digital nomads and live in AirBnB’s full time so this says a lot! Josh’s place is an amazing mountain getaway out of a Hallmark movie! The mountain views are amazing and the house is private with a cozy wood burning fireplace and updated amenities including a gas stove and fridge with ice maker and water dispenser. The beds are comfortable and the wrap around porch is perfect for wildlife peeping. We saw a moose, foxes and a herd of deer. We were there for 5 weeks April-May and it snowed almost daily which is what we wanted. My husband and I work from home and the internet was reliable and fast. I had back to back video calls and never had any issues. We would have stayed longer if the rental was not booked. We ended up renting another cabin in the Valley of the Sun through the summer since we love this area so much! We will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Very fun trip for the family. The kids loved the skeeball and foosball tables. The house is very spacious for a large family. The views from the living room or deck are amazing (took several photos and selfies). There are plenty of fun and various skilled hiking spots in the area, a short drive to Buena Vista for very fun white water rafting, and a short drive to Breckenridge to site see and shop. We would definitely go back again!

Great place in the beautiful mountains. Secluded, yet close to great mountain activities. Owner was very easy to work with and would highly recommend the property. We appreciated the resources and instructions provided at the property and look forward to returning!

Wonderful place, beautiful scenery, got to see deer walking in the backyard, that wasn’t expected but wonderful to see. Will definitely stay there again when we visit Buena Vista. Well worth what paid to stay.

This was my first time using Airbnb. It was a great first experience. The property is tucked into the forest so that you feel in nature. We stayed 5 days and wished it was longer. The wood burning stove as well as the wood burning fireplace were great and the large deck was perfect for cornhole and just relaxing. The owner, Keegan, responded in minutes when messaged, and provided all the information needed.
