Hello Ian and Beverly, thank you for opening up such a beautiful and well maintained spot. The ocean view can't be compared with anything else. If anyone is reading this and hesitant, just book it. You won't find another peaceful getaway like this. Blessings

Clean, tidy and perfectly located to enjoy matakana and surrounding areas!

Had the most relaxing, peaceful stay at the bamboo cabin. The cabin has everything you need, was super clean and tidy, and very comfortable. Slept really well on the comfortable bed. The highlights were the BBQ, and the outdoor shower. The location is perfect. Just down the road (walking distance) from Sculptureum (which has the best restaurant in the area in our opinion - Rothko!). Also only a couple of mins drive away from Matakana.

My daughters and baby grandson had the most wonderful Mother’s Day escape at Shona place. Everything is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort so we felt instantly at home. Shona has thought of everything her guests could possibly need. On top of the stunning home there is the incredible view - the sun rises were beautiful. We made good use of the spa pool and loved being so close to Tāwharanui Regional Park (which is my fav place on the planet). We all loved our stay and are keen to return.
