Shinmaiko ao, a villa overlooking Setouchi

My only regret is not getting to stay longer! This home is so beautiful and there are trails through the forest right outside the door. The beach is a quick walk away, as well as great food and friendly locals. The windows make the room such a treat to relax in and all of the accommodations were perfect. The host was super helpful in getting us checked in. The stairs are a bit steep, as mentioned, which was not a problem for us, but please be aware if stairs are not for you. I wish I could’ve stayed for a week!

Japanese style house near beach 浜辺そば一棟貸古民家ふるさと村近く

RandallRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The house reflects a traditional Japanese aesthetic and is located in a small, peaceful fishing hamlet. It offers non-Japanese visitors in particular an experiential glimpse into the everyday living environment of Japanese households from the post-WWII era, but with a few strategic updates that help ensure a restful stay. The kitchen is well-equipped and even includes a blender and seed grinder—rarities in Japan. There is an air conditioner/heater and an air purifier. There’s also a small yard and garden area where you can laze away the mornings over a cuppa and a good book. Anshang-sensei is a polite, professional, responsive, friendly, insightful, and helpful host and property manager. The property is strictly for guests staying there, and yet she seamlessly answers questions and helps solve problems as if she were right there with you. Wi-Fi is sufficient and stable. Were we to return to the island, we would stay here again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

[10-minute drive to the hot springs] Entire house rental/Maximum 10 people/Spend a relaxing time in a private space

Thank you for the pleasant service!Even though I booked the day before, the guidance was very helpful! Check-in was smooth, but I needed to check on my small children, and since we had a lot of luggage, it was a little difficult to take turns holding them and taking pictures (...) The room was very clean and comfortable! It was a bullet trip, so we didn't have a plan, but the host recommended a place nearby where we could pick strawberries, so we booked it and went (^ ^) The kids were also very happy and had a great time! If I had to ask for one thing, it was still cold in April without the heating on, so the room was quite dry, so I thought it would be nice to have a humidifier (^ ^) (I apologize if it was installed somewhere) When I went out for dinner and came back around 9 pm, there were deer playing in the yard and I could only see their butts (°▽ °) The kids were very excited and happy! Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and I couldn't see the stars, so I'd like to go see the beautiful night sky again next time (^ ^) I loved Shibamasa, the additive-free ramen shop called Hoshi to Tsuki nearby was also delicious and the owner was kind! I'll go back in the summer (^ ^) Thank you so much for coming! Thanks to you, I have more good memories (^ ^)

I had an incredible stay at Daiichi Inn. The layout of the space was thoughtfully designed, offering all the amenities I needed for my month-long visit. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from my kitchen window, which made cooking and dining an absolute joy. The manager was exceptionally responsive and went above and beyond to assist me throughout my stay. Since the inn is located in a charming, peaceful village where a car is essential, the manager kindly helped me arrange a rental, making my experience even more seamless. If you're looking for a tranquil and well-equipped place to stay, I highly recommend Daiichi Inn. It’s the perfect retreat for relaxation and comfort!
