The cabin is sheltered from the farm and along the Signaldalselven river, where there is a hiking trail of 3 km that starts from the cabin. The area the cabin is located in is a well-known place for northern light tourists and you can take nice pictures of the northern lights with Otertinden in the background.

The apartment is only 45 minutes drive from Tromsø, Lyngen and Bardufoss. There are 71 popular mountain hikes in Balsfjord municipality, ski tourists thrive here. Together with the neighboring municipalities, there are over 350 peaks to visit. It is 2.5 km to a pharmacy, two grocery stores, café/restaurant, street kitchen, hairdresser and gas stations as well as charging stations for electric cars.

The cabin has electricity, running water and a sauna. Bed linen and towels are included. There is a well-equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, toaster and kettle. The nearest store (Hatteng) as well as a barbecue bar is 6 km from the cabin.

Good hiking opportunities in summer and winter, both on skis and on foot. Have 4 sets of snowshoes and poles that can be rented! Free parking for two cars at the apartment. We have small children and a dog, so noise can occur as we live in the top floors of the detached house.
