Enjoy the enclosed garden with a view of the water. Only 200 meters to the Gendarmstien and the cozy harbor. Forest right in the backyard. Since the house dates back to the 1800s, it has retained its original charm—including a slightly lower ceiling height than modern buildings. Guests over 180 cm should be aware of this.

With our charming summerhouse, you get one of Kegnæs's finest locations directly by the water, out to beautiful beach meadow with bathing beach and jetty. The large wooden terrace by the house allows you to find space in the sun at all times of the day, as well as enjoy your morning coffee, while the ships sail by on the Flensburg fjord. The light, the water, the tranquility, and the beautiful nature are absolutely magical in this part of Sydals. Walking and cycling, fishing, kayaking and dinghy sailing and kite surfing are popular activities.

The house consists of living room with open kitchen and dining area for 6 people. 1 bedroom with new elevation bed 140x200, 2 rooms with 1 bed 140x200. The whole house is heated with a new heat pump. Outside there is a large covered terrace with dining area, sun beds and fireplace. As well as an enclosed garden with plenty of space. In addition, there is a cozy winter room - which can only be used in summer - as it is not insulated. Close to shopping and only a 10-minute walk to the beach. Kegnæs offers beautiful nature that invites cycling and hiking, fishing and water sports. If you are more into pure relaxation, you can enjoy the peaceful idyll and beautiful nature in Østerby, where our lovely cottage is located less than 100m from a beautiful and undisturbed beach.

The Garden House

Visit one of Denmark's most popular islands and stay in a luxurious half-timbering house with an impressive fireplace. The house is hidden in one of the old gardens in the center of Ærøskøbing, 2 minutes walk from the ferry. Surrounded by your own quiet garden with two private terrasses. The spacious 40 sqm house is renovated with modern comfort. NOTE: From June 1st to September 1st, Ærøskøbing is closed to cars. You can park two minutes from the house – free of charge and without time limit.

The Hyggelei (electricity included!)

In the summer of 2021, our second vacation home was completed. Once again, we have done everything to furnish the house both stylishly and in a child-friendly way. Children will find plenty of toys here and from winter 2021 the garden will offer a variety of play options such as swing, trampoline and soccer goals. We have put a lot of effort into the decor and hope that you like it.
