Family-friendly vacation rentals in Swatara Township

My father and I stayed at Elizabeth’s place for my brother’s graduation from Gettysburg. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. Elizabeth’s place was beautifully styled and I really appreciated her attention to detail. Elizabeth was a great host. She was so responsive and I could tell genuinely cared for our every need. I would recommend her place!

Place was very beautiful and was such a nice area, definitely recommend driving over to Columbia during your stay. Place was a bit more renovated than the pictures which was a nice surprise.

This was the perfect place to relax after a busy, fun-filled day in the surrounding areas. Kara was responsive to all communication! I even had a wheelchair delivered there for me to use at the outings due to a ruptured Achilles & it was delivered early & she stored it for me on her screened in porch. The bathroom floor is heated which is nice. The shower is handicap accessible & has a bench built in! All around was a wonderful, peaceful place & the hot tub was great to relax in after a day out as well! Kara was amazing! Would definitely Italy stay there again!

The perfect house for a long weekend with friends. We very comfortably fit six adults and five kids (ages 5, 4, 2, 1 and 1). So well equipped for families with a crib in the master bedroom and tons of toys and games. Lots of places to hang out from the beautiful screened in porch to the open layout upstairs and game room downstairs. The location is incredible… a front yard full of horses (you’re living amongst the farms) and a very short drive to the activities we chose. Highly recommend checking out Cherry Crest Farm, Strasbourg train and Dutch Wonderland. Across the street from the house is an Amish stand with fresh baked goods and strawberries. For food, Lancaster Brewing co was fantastic as well as Speckled Hen. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great golf weekend in the area and really liked the accommodations. It was private, enough to fit 8 golfers, and close to many of the course we played. We will go back again.

This place was very nice for our trip. plenty of space inside, outside has a very nice back patio and fire pit, nice and quiet location, not too far from Gettysburg. When I had questions, I had answer very soon after. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Gettysburg or surrounding areas.

Staying at Todd’s place was so relaxing . Our little one had a 3 day weekend off from school and we wanted to get out of the city for a couple days to explore Lancaster, PA. Todd’s home felt more than a place to rest your heads after a long day, but rather a true home away from home. From watching the little birds eat from the bird feeder, relaxing on the hammock, to playing fetch in the yard with my little dog, Todd’s aesthetically pleasing home was the perfect companion to a fun filled weekend in Lancaster. Thank you so much Todd for sharing your space with us. We truly appreciate it.

Amazing location, super unique neighborhood. Quaint, clean and full of character!

I can't wait to go back! The house itself was more than comfortable for 2 very large dogs and my husband and I. The property is very serene, private and just beautiful! Sitting outside you can watch their 3 horses in the pasture or look at the lake (or walk around it) with it's gorgeous white water lilies. If your looking for a place to destress or just looking for a quiet area, this is the place. My dog's go 160 and 114, so you can bring your pups here too

We were in the area for a multi-day event, so we did not get to take advantage of all of the area's and home's offerings, but the house itself and all of the thought the host put into the details were wonderful. Mike had walking sticks with flashlights hung by the door, blaze orange vests and hats in the coat closet, s'mores ingredients on-hand, just to name a few of the perfect cabin-in-the-woods touches. I enjoyed reading a bit of The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America : ) Lots of books on the bookshelves for readers. My bed was very comfortable. You will be staying in an antique cabin in the woods with a wood-burning fireplace, but all of the areas that need to be clean for guests (counters, bathroom, bedding, etc.) were clean. We had a great stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Louita was responsive and kind, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The location was perfect for a short rest during our road trip. Highly recommended!

Pearl's Place is a gem! Very roomy and we were able to walk to everything. Gettysburg is very dog friendly and we were able to take our dogs with us to do a lot of things. Cindy and Mark were great hosts who were very responsive to our questions. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at the Country Nest. We stayed for a weekend with family for Fathers Day weekend. Very easy to book, and hosts Liz and Juana were very responsive to questions. Provided clear house rules/instructions and check in was super easy, with the house just as described. We felt right at home, and we loved the country decor! The home was warm and inviting, and very clean. Appreciated the welcome basket, and flyers/info with things to do in the area. Would definitely book again for a future stay!

Stunning property, the house and pool were incredible. Loved the peacefulness of the property and the surrounding amenities….. it felt like home!!!

Michael was a great host and excellent communicator. He was able to help us out when our trip was in jeopardy of falling apart. The space is huge and very unique. The location is amazing !

We stayed 3 nights with our young grandchildren they enjoyed the pool area and the fire pit. (For the s’mores of-course) There was enough room for the 4 of us to sit and relax watch tv and play some games. The house is centrally located to the restaurants,entertainment,and sight and sound theater. had a great time away and would visit Ruth’s home again.

This was my second visit to Mimm’s. It was wonderful four years ago when I visited with my family and was again superb for my recent visit with four friends. Mimm’s is an authentic farmhouse on a property with a working barn with farm animals. The house is filled with antiques and small touches like quilts and period wallpaper throughout so that one is immersed in the farm feel, but the house is also immaculate and has excellent WiFi, lovely bathrooms and other modern amenities. Marcia, the host, is very responsive, practical and clear. My friends and I are looking forward to a return visit.

We live staying here. This was our second time. We were little early but Robert accomodated us and everything was as we remembered from the last time. Kids love the pool. Super quiet relaxing place to be.

My family and I spent Memorial Day weekend in this beautiful home. It was very spacious and very clean. It had every amenity you could possibly want. It had a beautiful family room area and plenty of seating for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The pool was absolutely beautiful, but too cold for us to use at this time. The yard was completely fenced and very private. We really enjoyed our stay at this home. We hope to stay again soon!

Our whole family loved being in this home away from home. It was our first trip up to Lancaster, and we will definitely be back. It was beautifully decorated, very peaceful on the back deck, and the layout was perfect with our 3 kids. It was easy to take walks, and we even found a small playground within walking distance. Elmina and Ernie thought of everything, even providing games and books. They were very accommodating and welcoming and our kids loved meeting their dogs. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
