Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Swatara Township

Suzi and Luci’s Place was absolutely beautiful. For a home that often takes pets, it was top tier clean. They were more than accommodating on check-in time since we were traveling from east end of Long Island, it was about a 4 1/2 hour drive. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean, they had the AC and some lights on for us when we got there as well which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay very short. Paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Suzi and Luci were very understanding when we messaged late at night that we had to leave due to family emergency. The view of the falls was gorgeous. Be prepared for some noise from the road at night as it backs up straight to it, but the hostesses offer ear plugs which was super nice! The shower is a bit small so beware if you are a larger person. Overall a great stay, great communication, super clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to come back and fully enjoy the home! Haleigh’s place was great for what I needed. Super dog friendly with the fenced in yard and nice touches like dog treats and poop bags available which helped make traveling with my girl a breeze. The place was very clean and had a nice kitchen for cooking meals. The beds were extremely comfy as well, I slept great! The only downside was the neighborhood is right off the street and could be noisy at times. Not very soundproof, could hear the neighbors next door from the living room area but it wasn’t as much of an issue from upstairs. The fire alarm down the street startled me a few times. Overall was a great place to stay and had all the amenities I needed.

5 Stars – A Perfect Getaway! James’s Cozy Corner Cottage was the perfect place for our stay! James is an exceptional host—always responsive, helpful, and clearly committed to making guests feel at home. The cottage itself is incredibly well-equipped with all the amenities you could need—and then some. The location is ideal whether you're planning a trip to Hershey Park or just looking to enjoy a peaceful weekend retreat. It’s tucked just off the main road, so you get the best of both worlds: close proximity to everything while still enjoying quiet, cozy privacy. Highly recommend this charming spot—we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here in mid May to do some biking along the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. The trail head parking is just a couple minutes drive away, or you can just start from here if you don’t mind biking up a hill to get back. We also did a day trip to the historic Gettysburg battlefield just west of here. The house was very clean, and the kitchen and coffee area fully stocked. It is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood and pretty far from the train tracks. The host states that ear plugs are available in case of train or firehouse noise, but we never actually heard a train during our three night stay. There was also a nice enclosed back porch where we stored some of our bikes overnight. We did run into an issue when we first arrived. One of the sheets was missing from a pullout bed, but the host responded immediately and the problem was fixed within our first hour there. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back for more biking!

The house was perfect for our family’s needs while we were in the area for my son’s wedding. The house was clean. The property and home were lovely. There was plenty of room our whole family plus the groomsmen visited for breakfast. Everyone who entered shared “I could live here!”

This place was perfect for what we needed it for, rented so we could enjoy 3 nights of sprint car racing at port royal speedway which was only a 13 minute drive to the track. Would 100% rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Good Vibes. The house was very clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was just right: We could easily walk to downtown restaurants and a short drive to Hershey Park. We hope to come back again!

We had such a great stay at Jacob’s place. We had a great advance Mother’s day celebration with friends. Great amenities and more to come. Hoping to book again next time! 🥳👍🏻

Brooks’ place proved to be perfect for a party of 11, including 4 boys aged 7-12. The interior was spotless and perfectly functional. The back yard (including the pool) was simply outstanding. Brooks himself was a terrific host whose messages were always helpful and considerate. Mechanicsburg itself is close to Gettysburg and some beautiful parks. No hesitation at all recommending this outstanding house and model host.

We had a BLAST, staying with Kyle. The place was so inviting and fun for our grandchildren…yes, fun for us as well. The beds were perfect which can’t be said of all places we’ve stayed. I wish we could have stayed longer! Kyle, keep up the great hospitality! It was beyond what we expected! Thank you for everything!

If I could give Tim’s place more than 5 stars, I would! It’s off the beaten path, but that’s what make his Place so inviting. All the amenities you could hope for! Definitely the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at in the States! Got to chat with Tim on my last night there and it was great. I loved the chocolate chip cookies that were presented upon our arrival. I’m looking forward to visiting his place again, if I can. My grandkids loved playing on the grounds and the dogs 🐶 enjoyed roaming around. This is a gem of a place and I 100% recommend you consider staying there. 1000 Kudos!

This place is cleaned with eco/people friendly products which is very important for my immune system. No febreezes, scented candles, chemical air fresheners, hormone disrupting laundry soap, and dish soap! They are ahead of the curve and care about you by providing such products! They provide essential cookware, lovely instant or fresh latte brewed daily or hot chocolate for your pleasure. The family is wholesome, active, full of life, and a nice balancer and healing to be by for us after experiencing turmoil in our life🙏truly a blessing 🙏 the place is beautiful, clean, stylish, comfortable, and you have a view of the mountains. Gratitude practice notebook inside if you do choose. I highly recommend 🙏

We absolutely loved the house, and all the history that came with it. Beautiful treasures throughout the house that we much enjoyed looking at. Lighting was fabulous. Beds were comfortable and only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay! Short drive to Hershey and neighboring towns with lots to do! A+++

Excellent stay at this house. The house is a large multi floor cabin. It is off the main road and completely surrounded by woods with no other visible homes and minimal road noise. Bedrooms were large. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with towels and bath items (shampoo etc) giving it a nice hotel feel. Entrance is a simple code on the front door smartlock. We had some challenges with a bathroom, lightbulb, and sauna and Mariou was excellent and responsive. We had a group of six but the home can easily accommodate many more. Place feels rustic, but modern enough. The super high ceilings in the main common room give it a grand feel. Would recommend staying here.

My stay at Nan’s was wonderful! Her home looks exactly like the photos—if not better in person. It’s beautifully decorated and full of character and charm. I’d live there in a heartbeat (I wish I could!). Nan was incredibly helpful and flexible with my checkout time, which I really appreciated. I’d give her place a 10/10 and absolutely recommend it to anyone. The only minor drawback is parking. Nan provides very clear instructions, but the area can still be a bit tricky with zones and pay-to-park rules—just be mindful of that. Thank you, Nan!

We booked this house at the very last minute—just a few hours before arriving—and Kylee and Jennifer went above and beyond to accommodate us. The home was absolutely beautiful, exactly like the pictures, and made our stay incredibly comfortable. Their hospitality was outstanding, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I only stayed for one night but I would've been comfortable for many more. This beautiful and spotless barn apartment has everything you need and a great location. The perfect place to stay in the bustling small town of Lititz!

Felt right at home! I liked the amount of space and the enclosed two floor balcony.

A lovely home in a very cute, quiet town, easily walkable to the quaint downtown center of New Cumberland. We needed a home base for our family trip to Hersheypark, and this was the perfect choice. Just about a 25-minute drive from the park, and so much nicer to be in a comfortable residential area than a resort. Would come back here in a heartbeat!

Our stay absolutely made up for the dreary weather we experienced. We felt right at home with the warm, cozy atmosphere upon entering the Airbnb. Heidi is a wonderful, hospitable host who's quick responses and positive attitude assured my wife and I were going to have a great stay. This was also the first time staying somewhere with our newborn daughter so it was a successful stay overall! Thank you again Heidi for providing us with a wonderful experience at New Cumberland!
