Family-friendly vacation rentals in Šušanj

Stefani was an excellent host who really went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment was squeaky clean and we really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony looking at the amazing views over Budva the bay and surrounding mountains, which was equally beautiful during the evening as during the day. We also loved the swimming pool which was great to hang out by when we’d had enough of the crowds and travelling. The big king sized bed was very comfortable and we were grateful for the easy, free car parking space just outside the apartment. The old town, restaurants, shops, boat trips and beaches are all walkable from the apartment, (made much easier by knowing where the shortcuts are!) but the apartment is positioned in a quiet neighbourhood away from the busyness. There are handy little supermarkets nearby. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend to other travellers. The apartment is great and Stefani is an exceptional host!

The villa is beautiful, huge, clean, well-equipped in an intimate neighborhood. We were really surprised, the place definitely exceeded our expectations. The view from the land, something beautiful! There is also a small beach nearby, a few minutes from the villa. We loved the whole place, you can't describe it. Wonderful owner, sweetheart, helpful - great person! The apartment has everything you need for a family with an infant or toddler, from a crib to baby chair, washing machine and dishwasher. The host was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and felt at home. The only recommendation for the host is to get rid of some of the furniture. When looking for a place, the address didn't show up on Google maps, so please create a pin for your Airbnb, so people can find it easily.

Aleksandars place in cold bay is an absolute dime! The location in the bay could not be better and I had the most peaceful month there. Since I went outside of the high season there were only very few but friendly people there and Aleksandar was easy to communicate with if there were questions. Cannot recommend enough!

We had a great stay! The private yard with a pool is amazing – perfect for sunbathing and relaxing in the afternoon. There’s also a beautiful hammam and a small gym, which were a lovely bonus. The climate inside the house is very comfortable – never too hot or too cold. Everything else in the house was convenient and well thought out. It had everything we needed and really felt like home.

Dragan's place in Sveti Stefan is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We rented both units and loved the terrace for working, resting, and meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals when we didn't want to eat out. Dragan provided excellent local recommendations and helped arrange a boat tour of Lake Skadar. Dragan is truly a fantastic host, and we really enjoyed getting to know him and his family, as well as their two friendly dogs. He also makes the best rakia we've tried in Montenegro. The location is perfect, with a market, restaurants, and a coffee shop just steps away. Beaches are also a short walk away, including the pristine Kings and Queens beaches. We hope to return in the near future.

We spent 8 wonderful nights at the villa. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood of town. With a beautiful view of the sea, in the evening you can watch the sunsets. There are several beaches within walking distance. To the old town 10 min walk. I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful property. Great host, told everything, gave instructions for leisure in Ulcinj. We are very happy.

Milica I love your apartment and felt so welcome there! Thank you for being so responsive and helpful and all of the recommendations. I stayed in the apartment for one month and it was the perfect location for walking to Kotor old town and all the Dobrota restaurants and beaches. So handy to have a washing machine and kitchen. Happily spent many afternoons reading on the balcony with a view of the bay.

Dodosi is a beautiful place to visit. Drive around lake Skadar you will see stunning scenery. The village is small so not a vast amount to do, so plan stuff, a trip on a boat around the lake, a visit to Niagara falls, a wine tasting experience, is what we did. Equally if you want peace n quiet then look no further. The wildlife is pretty spectacular as well, birds on the lake, a rarity in seeing a pelican, a few tortoise roaming around, snakes. Add to that cows, horses, sheep, donkies all seem to be in and out and around the village. This rustic way of life, for us was fantastic. So don't expect all the whistles and bells of a 5 star hotel, it is very rustic and a little step back into time. There are a couple of drinking places in Dodosi, one as you come into Dodosi and the other next to the river, this one serves food and we had lunch there and it was lovely, a note here only open weekends when in early season. The road getting to Dodosi can be a little tricky as it's very small.

We stayed in Iva's apartment for a week and felt very comfortable there. The bed was very comfortable. We especially liked using the terrace - spacious, with a beautiful view of the bay. It has a green leaf canopy, so you could sit outside wonderfully even in hot weather. Iva is very nice, friendly and helpful and was easily accessible to us. Thank you for the wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay in Kotor in Renata’s apartment! It was so spacious and beautiful. The terrace was quiet and cute, perfect for a morning coffee or late night glass of wine. Renata was the perfect host; waiting for us till very late so she could be sure we’d find the entrance. She was also very helpful during our trip, helping us with anything we needed.

I spent a wonderful 4 nights here. Wonderful location - easy walk around the bay to Kotor. The apartment was comfortable, clean and you just never tire of those views. Dusanka was extremely helpful with any questions I had. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the apartment for the first time and absolutely loved it. The warm welcome from the owner made us feel right at home. The apartment was spotless, and the cleanliness really stood out. The location is great — not far from the seaside. We enjoyed walking to the beach, with plenty of cafés and restaurants along the promenade. There is some building work going on in the surrounding area, but this didn’t bother us at all — the noise level was acceptable and didn’t disturb our stay. Highly recommended!

We highly recommend staying here! Milunka and Christian were fantastic hosts and made us feel right at home. Not only is the property beautifully situated with exceptional views from the roof garden, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool is great and sharing it with other guests was never a problem. Our apartment was very private, under beautiful kiwi and orange trees. They have created a wonderful place here above the hustle and bustle of the beach. A lot of thought has gone into making this place special and their attention and care towards the guests was remarkable. Thank you both!

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The apartment was extremely comfortable with a seating area overlooking the mountains and small pool. We found the property homely with everything you needed. Comfortable bed and plenty of hot water for the large shower. An easy walk into Kotor town where there are many restaurants and bars. Host was very helpful in organising transport for us. Quiet, well-maintained. We spent 7 nights here. Good Water as a town didn't impress us. Crowds of people, hustle and bustle, plastic. There is no contact with nature. There are a lot of shops - it's very convenient. The building itself, in which the apartment is located, is a complex of apartments with access to the pool and down to the sea - there are sun loungers and umbrellas free of charge for guests, but people occupy them early in the morning. A path there amidst beautiful vegetation, perfect for taking photos-especially at sunset. Descent to the sea on a ladder or slippery stairs - take your bathing shoes. The direct descent from the apartment to the pool is very comfortable. When other people were in the pool, the noise was not tiring, because due to the air conditioning, there are doors and windows closed. The terrace is clean with a beautiful view. Perfect for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Host punctual and responsible. Very good contact. We rented a car from him for two days. Everything went smoothly. Thank you!

We stayed at Maja's for almost a week and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was exactly as described, very cozy and well equipped. Maja was incredibly kind and helpful – she gave us great tips on what we should see and do in the area, and followed up along the way to make sure we were doing well. It really made the whole experience even better. We felt very welcome and can definitely recommend a stay here!

The apartment was exactly as described and looked like the photos. Clean, open space, well stocked kitchen, and gorgeous view of the sea. The highlight and main attraction of the apartment is the private sea access. The host was friendly and responsive. Peaceful place to spend a holiday. Thanks for having us! Note for digital nomads specifically: WiFi was slow, which made it difficult to work from the apartment. Not many coffee shops or spaces to work from. You will definitely need a car or mode transportation. Food delivery and Uber/equivalent not available.
