In winter, it is a short drive for those who like cross-country skiing at Kleivvann and at Gautefall there is an alpine facility. Hunting grounds can be rented through Statskog.

Short distances to southern towns, 30 min. to both Kragerø, Risør and Tvedestrand. 10 min. to Brokelandsheia with the popular Lille Dyrehagen, and "Sørlandets answer to the Swedish border", Eurospar Brokelandsheia. Hiking areas in the forest right outside the door, short distance to the swimming area.

Bjønnepodden is located on a fantastic view plot on Bjønnåsen cottage yard. Panoramic views in tranquil surroundings with nature right outside. The cabin is small but you have access to most of the facilities as well as a separate toilet and outdoor shower with hot water. Note: when the frost comes, the outdoor shower is closed but there is still hot water inside. A short drive inside the field and you will come to the swimming area and jetty in Røsvika. There are nice hiking areas right outside and active wildlife.
