Spent a week in a cozy cabin tucked away in the woods, and it was exactly the reset I needed. Peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature—waking up to the sound of birds and falling asleep under the stars felt like a dream. The cabin itself was warm, clean, and had all the essentials. Whether we were sitting by the fire, going on nearby hikes, or just enjoying the view on the porch, every moment felt grounding. No traffic, no stress—just stillness. Highly recommend if you’re looking to disconnect and recharge. Can’t wait to go back.

Jane’s Old Schoolhouse is awesome. Whimsical, relaxed, well equipped kitchen, loved all the little knooks to curl up with a book & cup of coffee or wine. Would love to enjoy the porches, however both visits offered us rain & cool weather. Great for doing puzzles & enjoying the wood stove.

Our stay at Rich’s place was very pleasant, despite the fact that we had rain the whole time we were there. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the grill for cooking, and liked the peace and quiet. Rich and Brianna are very responsive and helpful hosts. I would definitely recommend the place to others if staying in this area. We would like to return in the future when the weather is better!

A wonderful retreat for either solo or a couple’s weekend. I felt right at home. If you’re looking to have a movie night during your stay I suggest downloading content prior to arrival. Internet service is available but it’s a bit slow. Otherwise enjoy this quiet, reflective and cozy space. It’s worth it!!

Jessica's restored barn is amazing and one of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had! The photos don't do it justice! The barn is unique and has the most incredible views! The sunset experience is A++, and the deck is the most serene place to have your morning coffee. The most impressive part is how clean the space is- I'm not sure how she does it! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need from a popcorn maker to a vitamix. There are spaces to sit, relax and nap in every corner of the house. It is immaculate, thoughtful, peaceful and comfortable. Bonus- if you love music, there is an insanely good CD & record collection. Jessica was so responsive to any of our outreach and we will 100% be back. *10/10 would recommend, this place is a total find!!

Miguel is a great host. He was really helpful and responsive. His house was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful. Probably our best Airbnb experience in the US.

My husband, sons (newborn and toddler) and I had a wonderful stay at Karina's cabin. It was spacious and suitable for families with lots of activities and games. We enjoyed our time in Livingston Manor, including attending the Trout Parade. dinner. The location is close to Main Street for shopping and restaurants and the boys had a great time relaxing by the stream between exploring the area.

A beautiful home on a beautiful piece of land. A river runs through this property and you can hear it flowing all day. The house is beautiful and full of unique pieces. It feels like you’re staying at a friend’s house, not just an airbnb. We will stay here again!

This A-frame escape was exactly what I needed — the perfect break from the city. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches. The jacuzzi was absolutely incredible, especially under the stars at night, and the A-frame structure made the whole stay feel like a peaceful retreat.

It was immediately clear upon our arrival that Matthew cares deeply that his guests enjoy their time at his home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The property is so idyllic and peaceful with so much great space for our city kids to play and explore. We had a great weekend playing in the grass and lounging at the pool. We've been to this area many times and Matthew stands out as a truly lovely host.

We had such a great stay at Eugene’s place! The house was perfect for our group — spacious, comfortable, and full of fun things to do. We especially loved the private theatre, the hot tub, and especially the sauna — such a great touch! The volleyball net was a hit, and there were tons of games in the closet that kept us entertained. The kitchen was well-stocked and roomy enough for us to cook meals for our large group, and there were plenty of different areas to hang out in, everyone could find their own space to relax. The towels were plentiful (huge plus) and having access to the washer and dryer came in handy during our stay. Eugene was a fantastic host — super friendly, very responsive, and just really helpful all around. We also got to enjoy a few deer sightings right in the yard, which felt magical. We visited the nearby alpaca farm and did the Beer Mountain hike, which was a nice outing. All in all, a wonderful stay. Would absolutely come back. Thank you Eugene!

Our family absolutely loved staying at Alan’s home. The house is beautiful + has so much character! The kitchen for anyone who loves to cook is your kitchen away from home!! The kitchen truly is stocked + I just loved it! The weather wasn’t great when we chose to book, but we still got to use the pool twice and it has now helped our family decide to have a private pool ourselves! So thankful for this home + can’t wait to book again!

Very satisfied with the home and huge property. BBQ, firepit, heated pool, pickleball courts all in good condition. Good AC units to keep the house cool on hot days. Very private location, beautiful surroundings. Nothing is walkable from the house itself but it's only about a 12 min drive into town with great restaurants, shops and groceries. Would happily return. Jarrett was a great, accommodating host.

The house was great. It was very well furnished and was really nicely designed. All of the rooms were a nice size and the kitchen and bathrooms were really nice too. My wife and I and our two young children spent the weekend and we had a great time and the house was great.

My partner and I stayed at Cynthia’s place for a last minute trip upstate. The cottage was simple and basic, just as expected. Our dog loved the open green space. We made use of the pool and tennis court. The place was near a couple of excellent restaurants in Mountain Dale. Overall, a nice experience. Thanks Cynthia!

This is a Barbie Dream House for adults with taste. Every electronic is thoughtfully placed and wires are carefully threaded. The arrangement of rooms and furniture is intuitive. The small details are thought through. From the beautiful living room overlooking wide open spaces, to the TV & game room everything is designed for comfort and relaxation. The wrap around porch opens up to beautiful views, as do the the hot tub and sauna. We absolutely loved the tiny basketball game. Even though it rained the whole time of our stay, we had everything to keep us entertained and comfortable at the house. Nathan and Tim were so caring and communicative, and even checked in on us when the weather sucked.

What a wonderful place to stay. Everything perfect. Lake very nice and enjoyable. We will definitely return. Host is perfect.

I've been traveling a ton for work and wanted a tranquil place on the lake for my kids (age 17 and 8) and I to relax and play games together. We enjoyed this home immensely. We cooked together, played in the snow, and locked into the most epic game of Monopoly ever. They are already asking when we can go back. 10/10 I highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our time here! We loved how secluded and quiet the property was. There’s plenty of room to spread out and the house has everything you need to have relaxing evenings/dinners at home and it’s just a 15 minute drive to Livingston Manor for going out to eat. You also have access to Hunter Lake for swimming and kayaking (only a 5 minute walk) which was the perfect way to unwind and cool off after long days of hiking. Heather was also very responsive during check in and check out and we felt well taken care of.

Katherine was a wonderful host, and her Barryville home was the perfect getaway for our family. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed—the thoughtful breakfast treats waiting for us were such a kind touch and set the tone for our stay. The cabin itself is spotless, tastefully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. Katherine was always quick to respond and happy to accommodate our questions and requests. Her flexibility and warm communication made planning our days easy. :) If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a responsive host, delightful personal touches, and a home base that feels both rustic and refined, Katherine’s place is perfect. The cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! The home is so lovely - cute and stylish decor, well-maintained, and recently remodeled. Has everything you need and more. We did all of Nico’s activity recommendations - Tusten Mountain Trail, Skinners Falls, and Basha Kill NWR on our way there. Our dog had a blast, especially on the rocks at Skinners Falls. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our little stay at Halle's private cabin! My elderly dad was visiting from Thailand and loves the Catskills and my husband and I love to get away from the hustle of everything so the privacy was gold. The location is also great since we were just a quick trip to groceries and restaurants. The beds were excellent and we all had very restful nights. Unfortunately, it was cloudy every night so we didn't get to see them but if you're a star lover, like us, the lack of light pollution is perfect for seeing them. I would 100% return for another visit!

We had a great week staying at the Blue Caboose. The property itself was the standout feature for us. It's secluded but accessible and we enjoyed many walks to the lush and serene lake/pond. It felt like a private bird sanctuary as we spotted a bald eagle, a family of geese and various smaller bird species courting daily among water lilies. The house was extremely cozy and had everything we needed for a 3 night stint. Definitely a great place to unwind and simply read books. The house is showing its age in places and may not have all of the amenities in the world but the total package seems incredibly reasonable for the price. The location near Roscoe and Livingston Manor are also huge pluses as you can get pretty much whatever provisions you need and there are many great hikes and swimming lakes in immediate proximity. Would happily return in the future.
