IDYLLIC doesn't even begin to cover the half of this accommodation! As the photos show, this refurbed schoolhouse is literally perched out on the hill overlooking the fjord. But it's the VIEW and the FEEL from INSIDE the house that is magical. SO peaceful, SO beautiful! We would recommend staying a minimum of 3 nights if possible. We stayed 3 nights and very much wished we had time in our schedule for 2 or 3 more nights there. Rønnaug's tour around her farm? Definitely do this! Very interesting, and she's a delight as a storyteller. She's a first rate host as well. Simply can't recommend this AirBnB enough -- one of our favorite stays ever! Tusen takk, Rønnaug og Paul Rune!!

Na een goed en fijn ontvangst hebben we heerlijk van de rust en de hut genoten. We hebben ons er echt even thuis kunnen voelen. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Ook fijn dat er zoveel kastruimte was, we konden onze spullen mooi een plekje geven. Een map met tips en informatie over de omgeving was ook fijn!

Vi var fire damer som tilbringte en helg i denne fine hytten. Silje er en veldig god husvert som er vennlig, svarer deg raskt, er fleksibel og ga oss god og tydelig informasjon i forkant av ankomst. Ingen problem med innsjekk eller utsjekk. Huset er koselig og hadde alt vi trengte for en fin helg. Kjem gjerne tilbake ved flere anledninger! Tipptopp plass.

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable chez Steinar, sans aucun doute le plus bel endroit où nous avons séjourné. La vue est tout simplement indescriptible, à couper le souffle ! La maison est parfaite : extrêmement confortable, d’une propreté irréprochable et très bien équipée. Steinar est un hôte absolument adorable, toujours disponible pour prendre de nos nouvelles et répondre à nos questions avec gentillesse. Nous espérons vraiment pouvoir revenir un jour, tant nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Merci encore pour tout !

Our stay at The Opera Farm was so peaceful and absolutely beautiful! We came to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and we had the best time seeing the lovely views, hiking near by and going out in the paddle boat on the lake. The house was cozy and quaint and well decorated. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook while we were there. We decided to eat two of our meals at the hotel on the mountain above our house that is owned by the farm and it was the most amazing dinner and breakfast I have ever had! The chefs were fantastic and the food was unique and so flavorful in every way! Everything was perfectly cooked! The view from the hotel restaurant is breathtaking. I highly recommend anyone who stays in this house to at least eat one meal at the hotel. Everyone we encountered from the beginning to end was so kind and helpful to us. We would definitely love to go back and stay here again sometime in the future!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal an diesem wunderschönen Ort, um in Zweisamkeit Weihnachten zu feiern. Dieses Mal lag weniger Schnee, dadurch waren wir weniger Langlaufen und haben mehr die direkte Umgebung entdeckt. Wie schön, mit mehr Schnee wäre sie uns entgangen. Auf dem alten Postweg ist es wie in einem Zauberland. Auch die Hütte und das Grundstück waren wieder toll. Supergemütlich! Danke, dass Ihr diesen Ort teilt.

It was the most amazing part of our trip. A beautiful well-furnished and equipped house, reflecting a great taste. The outdoor area was so comfortable and amazing with shaded parts where we had lovely evening by the fireplace. The view was spectacular, breathtaking. We were sad the Jacuzzi was not available for use. Another thing one of the bedrooms had no curtains to the side windows that affected our privacy. We definitely would love to come back.

Schönes Haus mit Platz für 6 Personen direkt am Fjord gelegen. Man hat jede Menge Platz zum Parken auf dem Grundstück, was sehr angenehm ist. Von den drei Schlafzimmern haben wir nur zwei gebraucht. Zu beachten ist, dass das Haus auch direkt neben der Straße liegt und die vorbeifahrenden LKWs Nachts ordentlich das eine Schlafzimmer beleuchten. Auch hört man sie natürlich deutlich. Dafür ist der Ausblick von Hof und Veranda auf den Fjord und die umliegenden Berge wirklich herrlich und man kann sich gar nicht satt sehen. Wir würden es sofort wieder buchen .

Much loved house by the fjord

Such a beautiful place! It felt like visiting a friend's house; so very homey and warm with all their sweet photos. The view was incredible- we loved taking our time in the morning, drinking coffee and just staring out at the fjord! We had everything we needed to be comfortable and Lindy was very responsive. I would love to visit again someday.

We enjoyed our stay; it was peaceful, especially with the rainy weather adding to the ambiance. However, we did not realize from the profile that the flat is an attachment to a house, located below another residence, so there was some noises (minimal) from people moving around above. Overall, it was a great stay.

Jättefin lägenhet med mycket fint kök och badrum. Uteplatsen mot sjön och bergen var toppen, men vi tyckte trafiken störde lite.

Et hus med mye historie i de vakre tømmerveggene, smakfullt blandet med moderne komfort og klassiske møbler. Huset har en unik beliggenhet og vakker utsikt, veldig fin hage med frukttrær og urter, en svært behagelig liten badstue, gode kajakker, egen steinstrand og brygge, samt en lun uteplass med peis. Huset har alt vår familie på fem trengte for å ha noen aktive dager ved fjord og fjell.

Great place for a family holiday. the house has amazing views over the Fjord and mountains. so many activities in the area, such as hiking, via Ferrata, Skylift, Zip lining, and water activities. Our host Haldor was very friendly and a great help, he arranged 2 excursions for us, fishing and a visit to his family farm. the house is clean, spacious, well equipped with all modern amenities, and has a great location close to many attractions in Norway, such as Geiranger, Trollstigen, and many more. I would definitely recommend this place for a large family.

Was een prachtig authentiek huisje. Aan het fjord met een door groen omgeven terras aan het water. Voor de beperkte hoeveelheid elektra en watervoorziening waren goed werkende oplossingen met duidelijke uitleg. Goed om te merken met hoe weinig water en elektra je eigenlijk toe kan. En water om even in het fjord op te frissen genoeg. Voor het toilet buitenom, moet je even een trapje af.

Nous avons passé un très bon petit séjour ici. La petite maison en bois est rustique mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Le kayak juste à côté du logement tenu par le fils de Jostein est top.
