Surrounded by open countryside and big skies, it's the perfect base for exploring the South Downs National Park, with Ditchling village just a 5-minute walk away. Dogs welcome. Inside you'll find a double bed, equipped kitchenette, and log burner for cool evenings. Ditchling Wild Sauna is also located on site (booked separately).

Rural RetreatQuiet and isolated

Situated in the shadow of the South Downs National Park on a small rural road with hardly any neighbours our charming cottage is a great place from which to explore the unspoiled open countryside and its many footpaths around us. The nearest street light is two miles away. Owls, deer and the occasional nightingale are the only sounds in the middle of the night The cottage décor is fresh and modern with plenty of parking and a small decking area. Pets are allowed by agreement, email us to ask.

DOGS are only allowed if booked in, at a charge of £15 per stay. No cats.

Set at the foot of the South Downs national park this tiny but perfectly formed annex is an ideal base for walking and cycling. Explore the quiet country lanes or walk the South Downs way. After an energetic day sit on the patio and watch the sun set. Or relax around the wood burner. In addition historic Ditchling with it’s gastro pubs and museum is a short walk. Alternatively there is Lewes to explore, an easy drive away or vibrant Brighton with its variety of amenities and attractions.

Spa with hot tub and sauna all heated via a log burner for the ultimate retreat break. Guest house in large gardens, king sized bed, small kitchen and en-suite. Many local attractions near Brighton Gatwick Airport and the South Downs! Pull out double sofa bed, works well for smaller family’s. Stunning 25 meter swimming pond, water is crystal clear. Large deck and sun-loungers by the swimming pond. We use the garden too, it’s part of our home but there is plenty of opportunity for privacy.

We have a light and comfortable studio apartment with great views and amazing countryside walks just waiting for your arrival! Adjacent to the South Downs National park, with a pub/restaurant close by and easy access to Lewes and Brighton. Bear in mind we aren't served by good public transport. The Dower House sits on Ditchling Common close to South Downs National Park down a private lane in a small, gated community. Footpaths over the Common stretch from our gate. Close by are the pretty villages of Ditchling, Cuckfield and Lindfield, with easy access to Brighton, Glyndebourne and Gatwick Airport. Recently renovated, there are two large ensuite bedrooms, a living area and kitchen with a wrap around south facing terrace and garden, and separate utility room.

In the heart of Mid-Sussex, our former dairy farm dates back to the early 1800's. The barn has been recently restored to provide 1000 sq ft of luxurious accommodation with wonderful views across the wheat fields to the west. Guests can enjoy countless walking and cycling trails from the front door. Brighton, historic Lewes, Glyndebourne, Hickstead and the South Downs are all a stones throw away.
