This 95 year old upcycled railway carriage is the perfect getaway for two. Get cozy and settle into this rustic space with a wood fired hot tub and sweeping views of the North Yorkshire countryside. Set in 300 acres on a working farm with plenty of walking onsite and in the local area. Despite her age the carriage includes all modern luxuries such as en suite bathroom with toilet and shower, oven, fridge, tv, WiFi, eco friendly touches and full size double bed. We had a lovely time staying in Dina’s loft. There were two separate rooms with a bathroom, which was perfect for us. Dina is an extremely friendly host and we had enormous fun chatting and laughing over a cup of tea before bed, and again over coffee and breakfast in the morning. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean (with impressively good shower pressure for a top floor), and the family were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. We are very grateful to have stayed with Dina and her family.

Great location - had an event at the sports village so within walking distance. Was easy to find and the instructions on how to get in were clear. Lovely area and quiet at night time. Flat was clean and had all the basic things you could need. Parking is limited though and although it is stated the flat has its own parking space - someone was parked in it (obviously not the owners fault!). Would absolutely stay again.

House inside was nice and clean. Decor was plain simple smart and modern, sofa and beds were nice and comfy and didn't seem cheap or anything. seemed nice quality along with the bedding. The towels were super soft and nice to use, nice toilet roll not cheap rubbish. Enough pans and plates and cutlery for 5/6 people. Nice quality plates, glasses and cups too. Nice to have bathroom spray and washing up liquid as we forgot both so good to have there. Overall a nice little house to stay in.

I loved The Granary. Super clean, quiet and lovely views. It’s a perfect spot and easy to get to the A1 &A19 to explore the surrounding area. And the bed is divine. Upon returning home, I ordered the mattress topper so I can hopefully sleep as soundly as I did during my stay.

We loved this place and Sophia and Andrew were great hosts. Beautiful room, and amazing view. We stayed here partly for the Auckland Project which is well worth a visit and partly as an alternative to Durham - it was much better value. Nothing was too much trouble for Sophia - they have been letting the room before but not on AirBnB so they specially asked us for feedback on things like making the WiFi code available over the app. We will be recommending this to friends and would gladly stay again

What an amazing place! Exceeded my expectations! The hot tub is huge, the whole lodge is so clean and everything you need is provided. We had a beautiful BBQ and sat out on the large outdoor dining table. It was honestly a beautiful place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious break. I could not fault it!
