Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Stockholm archipelago

We loved the house and location - and Daniel was an amazing host (responsive to questions and super nice!)! Sitting right on the water with amazing views and a large, well furnished deck, we enjoyed the beautiful spot (as did our dog)! The sauna was amazing, with a quick/private run down to the water for a refreshing plunge. and the house was well designed and set up with everything you need for a relaxing and chill vacation!

Wonderfully located and beautifully furnished house almost in the middle of the forest. If you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is definitely the wrong place. But sitting on the terrace with a good book, hearing the birds chirping and then also being able to use the private suana, that's really great!! We kept a diligent lookout for moose - unfortunately, they didn't come by, but at least we could watch a deer that grazed quite happily in "our" forest. And the canoe trip for three towards the sea was also great fun - including swimming in the 16-degree cold lake! Overall, very, very nice three days!!

Anyone who goes to Karl will be able to feel the love and devotion to architecture and the resulting harmony and tranquility in every detail. We took great excursions to the national park by bike - also the sea buckthorn bud at Gålö is highly recommended. We enjoyed the time at Karl's place very much. He was an attentive host and responded super quickly to questions. Absolutely recommended !

We absolutely loved staying at Magdalena's place, it was impeccable clean and exactly like the photos. We were two young families visiting and enjoyed the living area and ofcourse the sauna. We took walks around the neighbourhood and cooked every day, the beds are very comfy and would love to come back. Also Magdalena is a superhost responding swiftly to all our questions and super accommodating. Thank you so much for having us.

This place was absolutely amazing! The house design is stunning—modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Everything offered, from the amenities to the little extras, made my stay so enjoyable. The view was breathtaking, and I loved waking up to it every morning. The hosts were exceptionally kind, helpful, and supportive, always making sure I had everything I needed. I highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone visiting the area! My family and friends also had a fantastic time and were especially impressed by the charming Swedish style of the house. It added a unique and cozy touch that we all appreciated. I appreciate all your help and would happily stay here again. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to experience how Swedish people live:)

You will need to go there to believe how truly beautiful this place is. We are a family of five and spent a wonderful week on Viggsö Island. We have never had a better host than Harry, extremely friendly, helpful, and always available! We would love to come back one time.

A really nice, peaceful and pleasantly private place in a great environment. Countless excursion destinations are just a short drive away and the small swimming lake within walking distance is an insider tip for warm summer evenings. We were particularly pleased with the regular visit of a doe on the property. The house offers everything you need inside and out, has a lot of charm and is obviously used actively. As announced by the host, the water had a slightly strange smell and taste, which is why we finally bought the drinking water. We would especially recommend this house to adventurous families with a lot of urge to move and the willingness to arrange with a single bathroom/toilet.

A brilliant spot approximately 30 min drive from the centre of Stockholm. Right by the water with sea views and 9min drive to the local town. Our family (kids aged 9 and 12) loved the pool and hot tub. Elin and Johan were great and the house had everything we needed. Hoping to come back soon.

This apartment is brilliantly located with ease to local cafes, public transport, metro station and importantly walking distance to the main city areas. We loved our visit to Stockholm and would recommend this apartment to any traveller wanting to experience and stay locally in an authentic Swedish apartment.

It was a great stay!

By far the most fabulous airbnb I’ve ever stayed in – I can’t praise Matilda enough for her excellent service. The apt was beautiful, spacious, and clean. It had 3 separate rooms: a large bedroom with a comfortable bed; a living room with 2 couches and a TV; and a library with a shelfful of books and a dining room table. There was also a modern kitchen, a lovely bathroom, a washer and dryer, and 2 wide hallways. Plus, what a view! Three floors up and with windows on both sides we could see the river and harbor to the east and a giant chestnut tree to the west. The street was absolutely quiet, despite our proximity to the livelier parts of Gamla Stan. I should add that this small, historic island was itself wonderful, with its excellent restaurants, cafes, and buildings. Finally, Matilda let us in 4 hours before our check-in time so we could put our suitcases away. Later, she let us check in early, upgraded our room, and carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs. What a find!

The location was perfect and easy to find. The host were very responsive and when we had an issue with the power and the coffee maker. Just couldn’t use the coffee maker which was a bummer. Would stay again at this apartment.

Axel was a great host! He communicated super well and was extremely responsible. Even more, the Airbnb was incredible and super comfortable. The location was convenient and easy to get around. Also, the kitchen was well stocked and made cooking meals easy. Overall would definitely recommend the Airbnb and Axel as a host while in Stockholm!

The accommodation is very central and well connected (by metro, bus and ferry), yet absolutely quiet. It feels very homey, the apartment is nicely furnished, well equipped and clean. Communication was fast and easy. Overall, I did not regret my choice at all. Not a problem for me, but worth mentioning: There is no lift.

Great place to stay in a wonderful part of Stockholm. Uzi was a great host, easy to communicate with, and full of good recommendations to enjoy the best of Södermalm. The Coop next door was very convenient, and the apartment itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend, and would gladly stay again!

Perfect location in the middle of the old town in a very quiet and clean side street. Very bright, as it is located on the third floor. Very cozy, ideal for four people. A real "hide away" in the middle of the city. We highly recommend it. Thank you so much, it was a wonderful time in Stockholm!

Annika and Craig are amazing hosts!! Definitely will rebook in the future. Their guidebook is very helpful when looking for things to do. The location is near anything and everything with a short train ride to Stockholm. I was welcomed with fikabröd and groceries to get me by upon arrival. No worries of rushing to the store for anything. This has been the coziest AirBnb I have stayed in. I felt at home from day one! I recommend for everyone to stay here. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, tack så mycket!!

Perfect stay! The place is gorgeous and well kept, even better than the pictures, it’s spacious and has a lot of natural light. Perfect location in the heart of SoFo, a lot of bars and restaurants and an easy stroll to the other islands. Barbara was amazing, super nice and helpful, answered every question and gave us a lot of suggestions. We had the best time and would definitely come back

Aura and Diacos air bnb was wonderful! It was in a perfect part of town. All of the lamps made it so cozy. Such a beautiful place. We would absolutely stay there again!

We had a grand stay in Tobias place. Location is great and being in a cul de sac, nice and quiet. Place is small (toilet is tough if you have long legs!), but a nice place with good fittings. Tobias was very responsive.

Really nice and modern apartment in a quiet rural neighbourhood. Everything was as described and communication with both the hosts was great. They also have a farm from where you can buy organic honey, eggs, etc. We had a really nice stay and would gladly come back again. Thanks Tommy and Anne!

Hanna & Anita's place was the perfect, cozy stay for our one week stay in Stockholm. They thought of everything to make the place feel like home, from the extra towels to coffee and tea; towels to sit on in the sauna and a clothes line inside the sauna. Anita went above and beyond during our stay. One example: After a long day of travel, we couldn't wait to relax. When we arrived to the place, it was warm and nicely lit. The sauna quickly warmed us up. If you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable place that is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still close by, we recommend Anita and Hanna's place.
