Unique Rural Cosy Cabin - Peebles Scottish Borders

AliceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a lovely cabin! We had such a great couple of days here. So many little personal touches, it had everything you needed. The bed was firm and we slept really well, the seating area outside was lovely to sit out in of an evening and the shower was really good! Jane was such a great host, SUPER responsive!! The little folder in the cabin is full of useful information and the recommended Italian was absolutely delicious!!! The local town, Peebles was so nice to have a stroll round. We would love to come back!! Maybe in the winter so we can make use of the log burner! Thank you!

Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

KatherineRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This special place surpassed all our expectations. The attention to detail and care in every aspect, from the little jars of shortbread to the amazing roof beams, is simply incredible. Everywhere you look, there's something interesting, clever, or beautiful. The location is perfect for a city break; it's an easy walk from the train station, with many attractions on your doorstep. You can even see Holyrood Park and its dramatic crags from the apartment. Once inside, you're completely cocooned from the world. We found ourselves structuring our days to maximize our time there. It truly elevated our stay, making it an unforgettable experience.

Arts and crafts cottage

KarlRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really lovely cottage, in a lovely part of the world. We managed to make the most of the facilities in our four days. The grounds and setting are really lovely and give the impression of being really remote, although in reality you are 5 mins from the local town by car. This was a very spacious, comfortable and well equipped place to stay and acted as a really good base for exploring the county. Abbotsford, Peebles and Traquair House were all highlights for us and were handy by road. Recommend The Crown in Biggar for dinner and drinks, and then home to a roaring fire in the log burner. Reasonable access to nearby charge spots if you are EV users like us. Excellent hosts with an excellent property!

Elegant Craigerne apartment with lovely views

PeterRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It’s always a pleasure to return to this comfortable and well-appointed property, with superb views across the Tweed Valley to the hills beyond. That view has been enhanced or diminished, depending on one’s personal opinion, by the removal of two very fine mature trees at the edge of the garden. These may have been part of the landscaping of Craigerne House in the 1870s. However, there are sheep in the field beyond, providing heavy hints of the original pastoral setting, and tree-lovers should not be disappointed, as the recent redecoration and refurnishing of the apartment, with some Scottish Baronial panache, has introduced three celebrated large etchings of famous trees from the early 1800s. A lovely place to relax. Even in disappointing weather, there is plenty to watch from the bay window and much to do from here.

relax, revive, reset.

NeilRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Most Airbnb‘s treat you like errant children staying in the guest house or the basement suite, with their broken mismatched furniture, endless passive aggressive notes and lists of rules - don’t go here and don’t touch that.. ‘Why would you think the gardens were accessible? privacy? What privacy?’ With Jules, you get an open air space in complete isolation just for you, complete with delightful little notes playfully directing you on where things are, fully usable kitchen, clean linens and peace to spend the way you want! The space is bright and thoughtfully laid out simply made for relaxing. This was a delightful little farm stay with the soft bleating of lambs, chirping birds and wind through the various trees serenading you whether you are walking the beautiful grounds, flower garden or relaxing behind the stone walls of this serene country barn conversion.
