A short drive from the farm will take you to Abita Springs, a quaint town with restaurants and the Abita Brewery, Old Covington filled with local shops and restaurants and several horse facilities nearby. Spend the day touring in New Orleans and unwind in the evenings relaxing on one of two porches overlooking horses grazing in the pasture.

This secluded 3-bedroom cabin has everything you need for your perfect Louisiana-getaway. No traffic, noise or people. Located on 220 acres adjacent to the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge, the property includes freshwater lakes, a beach, and multiple trails for a beautiful morning or evening walk. Guests have easy access to the BCNWR for deer, hog, etc. hunting, as well as canoes and kayaks. We have blueberries, whitetail deer and chickens supplying fresh eggs, when laying.

We are approx 1 hr from New Orleans, 1 hr from Baton Rouge and 30 min from Hammond. Short term, self-service horse boarding may be available for an additional fee. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The outdoor space is great for a variety of activities such as barbecuing, campfires, and crawfish boils. The house has boat access to a waterway that leads to the tchefuncte river, which is great for watersports. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
