Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in St. John

While St. John is our favorite place in the world, I can’t say enough about our experience at Eureka Villa — it was absolutely perfect for our two-couple group. Great location not far from Cruz Bay (and as a bonus: super close to Windmill Bar!). Was so appreciative of Elise being proactive upon our arrival to the island and personally escorting our Jeep to the location, showing us around the villa, and was more than willing to share her knowledge of the island. The panoramic view was indescribable. Loved having the cross-breeze from large glass/screen doors in the central space, while still having access to bedroom air conditioning for comfortable sleeping at night. Clean, organized, modern updates, STOCKED with home and beach supplies which saved lots of packing space for us — beach chairs, coolers, towels, snorkel gear, even had spare reef-safe sunscreen. Elise & John were immediately responsive to any questions and fantastic to work with. Already counting the days until our return.

Great spot only minutes from Cruz Bay. There’s a single parking spot that takes a little work to fit into but it’s sufficient. Good house for our family of 4 (2 teens). GREAT views from the back deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Would suggest darker curtains in the bedrooms as the current ones don’t keep out any light. Bed linens could be upgraded. Host was very responsive and easy to contact.

Cat's Meow was immaculate -- I've lived in several tropical countries and this was probably the place most impervious to insects I've ever stayed! It's super cute. Replete with a bug zapper, A/C and tight windows and doors, no bugs survived inside. The outdoor bathroom did have a friendly harmless tarantula living under the top step. We named her Juanita and felt disappointed after she vacated. Bed is comfy. Road noise starts in the early side but it's a great incentive to get out of bed and get a jump on the popular spots before the sun gets too high. We really loved our time on the island, with many great snorkeling and beach spots within a 10-15 min drive.

What a view! Clean, nice cottage. Bed was comfy. Kitchen has what you need and some extras. The deck was a great way to start and end the day. There was some extra reef friendly sunscreen. Appreciated that! Great place to spend a week. Hummingbirds were cute. Made me happy to see them every day.

Our accommodations were exactly as expected. Bathroom was spotless despite being on an island (we live on one as well and moisture makes it really hard to keep clean). Interior felt a little tight at times during meals but very enjoyable and plenty of space outside! Listen to Shira's advice regarding your stay and everything should be alright :) I asked if a "small SUV" would be fine to get there and she thought it might be, but upon arrival her driveway did look too steep and angled. We had to park on the road, which honestly I think I preferred instead of having to pull in and out of there every time. Also shout out to Calabash Market JUST down the road, where we purchased kabobs to grill "at home" among other things. It ended up being our favorite meal compared to anything out at a restaurant. Finally, our favorite spots (Salt Pond and Francis Bay) are less than 10 minutes away from Shira's

This is the second time we have stayed in Coral Bay. Although I thought the last place was great this one far surpassed the other. Perfect place to bring our 80 year old Father, and also our 30 year old son and his new wife. We all had our perfect place. Sounds like we were very lucky with the weather, and can not complain about a thing.

We had a wonderful stay at Mathew’s Airbnb! The garden is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, lush, and full of tropical charm. It was our first time in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and this place made the experience truly unforgettable. The kitchen was super convenient and well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. Mathew was incredibly friendly and accommodating—he made us feel right at home and even brought us fresh coconuts and papayas from the garden, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. Our kids especially loved the animals around the property—watching the colorful koi fish, spotting little lizards, and playing with the sweet cat. They didn’t want to leave and are already saying how much they’ll miss the place. We wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this home for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway in paradise!

This property is exactly as pictured and beautiful with new furnishings and decor. Nora has even created some of the art in the home. Nora is helpful, picked us up and dropped us off from the ferry and offered rides and a beach day. She’s a wealth of information and extremely helpful and kind.

We had a great stay in Monic’s place . She is very responsive and the place is beautiful and peaceful . Definitely recommend stay in her property. You won’t regret !

True Blessings was exactly that. We felt right at home right away. Laurel was very responsive to our inquiries. Plenty of room, beautiful deck area, close to supermarkets, restaurants and beaches. Relaxing area just around the corner from the busy Cruz Bay Area.

Great spot for sunsets and walking distance to Cruz bay. Having a chair and cooler provided was a huge plus for us !

STOP SCROLLING AND BOOK JENA’S AIRBNB!! Fabulous host, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the location. Speaking of location the views every morning are amazing and you are close enough to Cruz Bay for convenience but peaceful at the same time. Parking available which is extremely helpful if you are renting a car while on the island. 10/10 recommend

We stayed in mid April of 2025 and it was a lovely experience. The place was perfect for the two of us, was very quiet and the views were spectacular, looking out over Coral Bay. Tim and Lori were great hosts and check in and out were very easy. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved our stay in St. John! The Airbnb was everything we hoped for—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Waking up to the beautiful views every morning was a dream, and the space had everything we needed to feel right at home. Tracy was responsive, helpful, and gave great local recommendations that made our trip even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Kiwi Cottage! It is a stunning location with views that are even better than the pictures. Must be seen to be believed. This is a thoughtfully equipped and comfortable home. Pauline and her family have provided everything you need to enjoy the beautiful Island. It is a peaceful and quiet spot to enjoy what makes St. Jon special.

Michael and Bridgit were very warm and welcoming. They responded to our needs. We had dinner / singfest one night with their extended family. The tree house was just as described "charming". It has no a/c which is OK, because we visited in March. A 4 wheel drive jeep is an absolute requirement, their access road is insane.

Alexia's Airbnb was topnotch!! The home was beautiful with everything I could ask for that made my birthday week a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. But the most AMAZING part of the condo was the stunning view of the bay. It was pure joy to wake up every morning sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee and my kindle to start my day. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We would definitely stay here again! The apartment was great and had a beautiful view from the balcony. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus at the end of a beach day, as was the convenience of having a washer and dryer for wet towels. Also loved that two comfy bathrobes were included. It is such an amazing location with everything walkable within a few blocks. We rented a car but would have been totally fine without one. It is actually easier to take the taxis to the beach vs parking. We loved the convenience of having a place right in Cruz Bay and took advantage of all the incredible bars, restaurants and happy hours galore! St. John is such a fun island and Stacey’s place was just perfect.

We love the condos at Cabrita by the Sea. We chose this location because of the ocean being literally steps away. Nothing like listening to the waves before bed and waking up to the same in the morning. Veronica was an amazing host. Super responsive and her recommendations of things to see and do in the area was outstanding. The condo had all the necessities and then some. It was the vacation we needed and Veronica’s place was the perfect place to call home during our time. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having us and being a great host.

This was our first experience using Airbnb. From the moment we booked, Donovan contacted us to let us know he would be available through the entire process. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. As questions came up; Donovan and property managers were quick to answer and followed up to make sure our stay was as expected. Lovely apartment in Cruz Bay with beautiful porch and comfortable, clean amenities and lovely decor. We stayed for one week with our 13 and 14 year old. We were worried it wouldn't be big enough with two teens, but the set up was perfect. We were able to let them sleep in on the fold outs in living room while we enjoyed coffee on the porch. No complaints about the fold outs - everything was comfortable and there were enough extra, quality linens to make up nice beds. The apartment is very comfortable, and the ability to open it all up to the island breezes was ideal. We never needed to run the AC during the day (we chose to at night so we could close the windows to avoid hearing the early morning roosters.) The hosts were great; responsive and helpful! They responded quickly on an afternoon returning from the beach when we accidentally reset the keypad entry and were locked out. We were tired, sandy and hungry and they had us back in the apartment within 15 minutes. Would stay again

Wonderful quiet, space and loved the gated area with beautiful views! Cooler and beach chairs were a nice bonus. Tips: Google maps is accurate. The owner sends step by step instructions although we didn’t need it. You need a proper car. The roads are legit steep. We did walk 20 minutes to and from town a couple times although we enjoy walking. Gym is old although similar to a low to mid Marriott.

Loved it here! Loved the view. The place looks like the photos. Very Clean. Justin was a great host and very communitive. We loved the location and the beach is right there. The use of the beach chairs was an awesome perk! We used them whenver we went to the other beaches. Great experience.

Just stayed 5 nights in Amy's condo in Cowpet East. It was a great rental. The inside was clearly updated in a way that many other listings weren't. Two huge comfortable king size bedrooms, two clean stocked bathrooms. Kitchen with essentially everything you needed. Amy really goes above and beyond with communication -- she gives you a giant guidebook at the beginning and was able to respond via text or e-mail to every one of our questions. This is really valuable especially if it's your first time visiting the island. Condo had towels, chairs, snorkels, sunscreen -- it was so thoughtful. A huge benefit is how quickly you can get into Red Hook from there. A ton of great food options in Red Hook, including a grocery store. We were incredibly happy there, but I would note the only drawbacks were that you're a couple long steep flights of stairs from the Elysian beach. Elysian beach and resort are nice, but not show-stoppers. Amy's condo itself is the big draw.
