East Camptons - Lakefront with private pier & dock

TraceyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at the East Camptons for 6 days, would definitely come back! It was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect, in between NO and Slidell. My husband fished off the docks and used the crab traps. I had coffee on the dock or deck every morning to see the beautiful sunrise. The fish factory next door was somewhat noisy but from previous reviews we were prepared and it didn’t interfere with our time at all. It was interesting to watch the boats coming and going and the birds they attracted. The space under the house doesn’t have the “kitchen” in the pictures but it does have a grill. The king bed was super comfy. Patty and Janet were promptly responsive with a couple of questions I had. Be prepared if there is wind the house sways a bit (felt like when you’re sittingin your car on a bridge) apparently this is normal with a house on pillars. I highly recommend eating at The Palmettos on the Bayou in Slidell, close with a great atmosphere.

Bayou Retreat just 25 min to the French Quarter

RebeccaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the best time experiencing the natural and urban cultures in the bayou! Henry’s place is amazing, clean, comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated and fun! Crabbing, fishing, hot tubbing, cooking and relaxing in…and venturing into NOLA was so easy with so much to explore …and a day beach trip to Bay St. Louis was a nice surprise with gorgeous and clean white sandy beaches for miles and a cute seaside town. What a gem of a spot! A perfect blend of relaxation and exploration! The perfect family adventure!

Lakefront NOLA Home w/ Hot Tub & Views!

AmandaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an amazing stay. We split our time between relaxing at the serene home, exploring vibrant downtown New Orleans (35ish min away), and doing outdoor adventures. We crabbed, boated, fished, went to Kenney’s seafood, Dong Phuong bakery, hiked, enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed on the porch. We cooked two meals a day in the kitchen and it had all the tools necessary. The views from both sides of the house were stunning, and the area was super cool to explore, as someone from the upper Midwest. The water is well water, and while we cooked and washed with it, we did buy some gallons of water to fill our water bottles.

The Purple Perch - Lakehouse

BrittneyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for quick trips to Slidell and easy day trips to downtown. We fished non-stop and caught plenty of catfish, along with drum, flounder, and trout! The house had every amenity we needed—and more. We’re already planning our next stay!

Pelican Pier Beach House on Lake Catherine

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved our stay at Pelican Pier! Everything on the property was as beautiful as the pictures, all amenities were exactly as outlined, and there were many thoughtful touches offered by the host to encourage maximum enjoyment of the waterfront property. We have 4 boys (ages 8-14) and they loved the dock. We caught crabs, went fishing, and played on the small sand beach. It was too cold and windy to kayak but it was very tempting. The house has just enough common space and very nice bedroom arrangements for a family. Bringing an extra adult couple would have also worked. The house is not in a populated area - which we felt was part of the appeal! Slidell is close enough for quick trips. Downtown New Orleans is a 45 min drive but reasonable for day trips. We would definitely consider this property again if going to NOLA again.

Beautiful Lake House - Private Pier & Dock

JillRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A lovely home right on the water. I was worried about stayng in a home on a “highway” with a dog but the road was quiet and we felt safe with the doggie outside (on a leash!) Fishing off the dock was not successful but we did a charter and had great luck! We loved our day trips into NOLA too! Loved it!

REEL LUCKY Lakefront home 30 min to French Quarter

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
ReelLucky is a beautiful home featuring incredible water views. Large patio with comfortable seating looking out at the water. Host offers cages for crab catching and everything you would need once you catch them. We loved the time we spent there. Just remember to stop at a grocery store while you are still in the heart of New Orleans. 15 to 20 min drive to nearest store from the house. We loved returning to ReelLucky’s tranquil setting after spending time in the chaos of the French Quarter.

Gorgeous Lakefront Home! Private Pier & Boathouse

RobynRating, 5 starstoday
As advertised. Great location to enjoy fishing, lake views and quiet, yet close enough to the city for day trips. Laurie supplies fishing gear and, with the help of the friendly staff at Rigolet's bait shop, we caught many fish right off the dock. About 20 minutes to any restaurants, but the kitchen is very well stocked and there is a grill with a great view.
