Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Your accommodation has a private entrance on the ground floor into the sitting room, which has a sofa, dining table and chairs. Within this living area are kitchen facilities including fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. Stairs lead to the double bedroom including wardrobe and drawers.
