Family-friendly vacation rentals in Spanish Springs

The place is immaculate and very warm and cozy. Conveniently located near Northstar. Beds were super comfortable. Kim is a great host and steered us in the right direction in terms of restaurants. I would definitely book again.

We had an incredible stay at this condo and couldn’t have asked for a better ski-in/ski-out experience! A huge thank you to the host for being so accommodating with both an early check-in and late check-out—it made our trip so much smoother and more relaxing. The condo itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the essentials (and more!) for cooking meals, which was a big plus after long days on the slopes. We also loved the new carpet—it added a fresh, comfortable feel to the space. One of the highlights was the fantastic window view overlooking Condo Run and Village Express Chair Lift. Waking up to snowy slopes right outside was magical, and the convenience of stepping right onto the runs was unbeatable. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a seamless, comfortable ski vacation. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

We loved staying in Amber and Andy's home. We spent the Christmas holiday there. We were close enough to Northstar, close to Truckee, and we loved the little neighborhood. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare Christmas dinner. The beds were comfy, shower was great! Andy was super responsive and helpful when I had questions about the house. Overall a fantastic vacation location for myself, my sister and Brother in law, my teenage Neice and Nephews and my elderly mom. Would definitely reccoment.

We greatly enjoyed our ski weekend at Michael and Christina's place. They are very thoughtful hosts, and their home is incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect place to stay four our group.

We love Northstar and this is a great location - very close and just a few steps to the Highlands Gondola which connects to the Ritz and very close to restaurants and ice skating in the village. We skied every day and had a great time. Kids took advantage of the pool and hot tub. Two bedrooms was perfect for our family and we loved using the fireplace in the living room too. Great communication from Frank.

Great spot easy to find with lots of parking. If you are a family with a lot of ski and snowboard gear this is a great option because the parking lot is wide open and a few steps from the staircase leading to the condo. Most of the condos at Northstar have under ground parking and requires multiple trips and finding luggage carts. The condo has just enough space and kids can sled on the opposite hill above the parking lot. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the main village where the restaurants and shops are, so if you don’t like walking far it’s a bit of a trek up and down. There is a shuttle but it doesn’t run often and won’t be running late if you go to dinner or back.

This was a fantastic cabin for our trip at Northstar. Was very close to Northstar (<12 mins without traffic). The cabin had plenty of space and the beds and living areas were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen, and had an overall great stay. Amy was a great host, very responsive and very clear instructions. Loved that there were enough towels for all of us and everything was squeaky clean. Would recommend to anyone!

Nice unit with everything need. Great location next to the gondola with a nice view facing the end of the village run. Definitely will be staying again

We were in town looking for housing and needed someplace to rest peacefully and keep our gear locked up. We felt safe and at home during our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a very nice stay at Nathan's. Don't tell anybody else because we would love to keep this gem all for ourselves. Thanks for being a great host. The beds were amazingly comfortable (we need to know who made the mattress) and the kitchen was fully stocked. A great time for all.

We recently stayed at Megan's house in Reno and had a positive experience. The location was excellent! It was not too far from downtown, and we enjoyed a nice view from the master bedroom. The house was spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family. We appreciated the three bedrooms and the comfortable living area. The first night was a bit cold for us because the batteries in the thermostat were very low, causing the temperature to cycle on and off. I bought new batteries and replaced them next day, which resolved the issue. The shower drain in the living room bathroom was blocked at that time, resulting in slow drainage, so we all had to use the shower in the master bathroom. Overall, it was a great stay. Will stay there again^^

The house is amazing—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. If you love cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you might need, plus spices, oil, sugar, coffee, and tea. The ping-pong table was an absolute hit! The driveway is flat, not uphill. Overall, the house is incredible!

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Pretty much had everything we needed to do for a cook out dinner with the family. Jacuzzi got hot but the jets didn’t work but we still manage to enjoy our stay. I love that it is very pet friendly and they had doggy toys, pee pads, and doggy bowls available. Location is 15 minutes away from all the Casinos which wasn’t that bad of a distance. Great home to stay for a peaceful get away from the city life in the Bay Area.

We had a great stay at Kevin’s place! If there were six stars to give, this place would deserve them. Everything is as described but what is hard to put in words is the immediate feeling of being home when entering the cabin - just the right blend of mountain cabin decor, lots of space and perfect functionality. Kevin was great to communicate with and super helpful in ensuring that we have a relaxed stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic stay! Beautiful and clean place with plenty of room for 6 of us to have a very comfortable stay. Kim was super friendly, responsive, and accommodating at every stage. Having a garage was a huge plus, and also being right on the shuttle line to access the village restaurants/shops, ski resort, and rec center. Kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again!!

Was clean and the AC was amazing. Check in was great. Beds were comfortable. Everything worked. Lots of space. Bad area of town.

Our family of four had a wonderful visit. There were so many activities for our two sons (3 and 5yrs) to take advantage of. Activity room, free private movie theater, free game rentals, arcade, foosball table, ice rink, gondola up to the Ritz, ice cream social… we didn’t even ski, but had a great time playing in the snow! It was also nice having a washer and dryer in the unit. Jerry was a great host and we will definitely be back again!

Great ski condo to stay within walking distance of NorthStar. We took the shortcut that Albert suggested to the Gondola and it only took 10-15 minutes walking to get there. The condo was comfortable, quiet, and private. Perfect for 2 people spending a weekend in Northstar skiing.

Our stay was great! I thought the space was the perfect size for myself, husband and two small kiddos. And having two full bathrooms was a huge plus. The location was a very short 5 minute walk to The Village and the path was easy to follow. We didn't use the kitchen much so I can't speak to it but they had everything you need. Amy was quick to communicate and was very flexible/understanding with a last minute extension that we ended up not needing. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

The location is great, quiet with beautiful surroundings. I would give John 5 stars. He is a great host and very responsive. He kindly accommodated our early check-in and late check-out, which we really appreciated. For the place itself, I would give 4 stars. It could use a bit of maintenance, specifically, the dishwasher needs some attention, and the heater in the master bedroom was a bit too loud. However, everything else worked fine for a comfortable night’s sleep after a full day of skiing.
