Vacation rentals with lake access in Southern Tablelands

We love staying at Helens place, it is always perfect for our group when visiting Canberra!

Perfect stay, loved the house and the area. Kangaroos a highlight! Very well equipped kitchen. We didn’t want to leave!

David, Chelsea, and Babette are fantastic hosts—always quick to respond, helpful, and friendly. We stayed there with seven people (two families) and one dog, and the experience was wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious, the BBQ facility was great, and the kitchen was large and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed having breakfast in the beautiful, spacious yard.

great place - perfect access to the beach and close to river lagoon in one direction and the Broulee Brewhouse in the other. the Broulee supermarket is also walkable a little further down. the place has a good large space for entertaining a large group. the upstairs and downstairs sections are separate - accessible from external stairwell. although internal stairs might’ve been better for our group, that worked fine for us. overall loved the place and the location and really appreciated helpful proactive communication from Geoff :-)

We couldn’t fault this beautiful seaside home. The position on Mossy Point is amazing. The house is extremely well appointed and has so much charm and character. There was nothing missing in the kitchen, the rooms are styled beautifully and are practical with great storage for clothing etc. There are even boogie boards for the beach. Nothing is forgotten. The whole place is very comfortable and we immediately felt at home. Mark and Kathy are terrific hosts. So proactive, responsive and generous. We loved staying with our family and would highly recommend this beautiful character beach house. 5 stars!!

William is a great host. Stayed with him before. Very approachable. Very thoughtful. Always everything you need. William in particular equips his places excellently. Always milk eggs cooking oil etc so you don’t have to go shopping immediately.

Comfortable and well equipped home amongst the trees. Peaceful and plenty of wildlife with visits from parrots and lorikeets. Kitchen is very well appointed. Beds are comfortable, and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. There's a vintage sound system installed but a couple of the remotes are missing so I recommend packing a stereo input cable if you want to listen to anything other than the radio. The interiors could use a little TLC and some refreshing but these are very minor quibbles. We had a relaxing and comfortable time at Fiona's place and exploring the coast and beaches.

Marty made our big family group feel at home at the farm with comfortable beds and all the mod cons, beautiful vistas, games and lots of wildlife. Perfect family getaway.

This is a great place had an amazing view of Canberra. Centrally located, the place was close to all the major attractions. The apartment was clean and tidy and squeaky clean bathrooms. Ideal place and would recommend to anyone.

The apartment was beautiful and well maintained, with everything we could need. The cross ventilation is amazing, especially after a long, warm day walking about town. The surrounding rooms were quiet, the location is quite peaceful, but it's very easy to get into the centre of town where the action is, as well as being close to attractions like the NMA. The lake is close by for lovely walks, too. There is a nice bar and cinema down stairs, so you don't need to travel far for a night out. We would definitely be up for staying here again. Murad met us with the keys and took time to run through check-in/out process. He also gave us great local recommendations and offered us a late checkout due to our flight time. Murad was super helpful and responsive. His apartment is within a short stroll to Lake Burley Griffin, city centre & other great local attractions. Couldn’t have picked a better location nor apartment!

Great place to explore Canberra. Lots of restaurants close by and a great starting point for walks around the lake. Tracy's apartment was clean, had all the amenities you need, and is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Overall 5 stars.

The apartment was very clean, cosy and inviting. It was also well equipped. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were a great spot to eat or for a drink. Close proximity to other restaurants, cinema and the lake. If you like exercise you can take a great walk up Black Mountain. Daniel was an attentive and considerate host. We really enjoyed our stay.

Kingston is a great area and close to most attractions. We brought our bikes and rode everywhere. The bike tracks are amazing, and you can ride to the city and visit some great sites in Canberra. The restaurants in Kingston are abundant and varied. I really loved our visit here and thoroughly recommend it. The apartment was lovely and clean, it looked exactly like the pictures, and it was very comfortable. We kept our bikes in the car parking area with our car, and they were safe so bring your bikes if you are interested in biking throughout the city.

we loved the location, easiness of access to places of interest and lovely restaurants. the view from the apartment provided a full vire of the lake and places of significance.

This is the second time we've stayed in this apartment and will definitely come back. Great location, close to everything we need, and the apartment itself is very clean, tidy and functional, having everything we need. The owners were very friendly and helpful (even in the middle of the night when I locked myself out!), and communicate well, letting us know everything for an easy stay. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

This is an idyllic retreat, we only had two nights sadly but would definitely come back to chill here situated between the beach and forest, loved the birdlife and also the kangaroos that seem to like the back yard. Lovely gem, clean and tidy homely environment. No shopping /restaurants nearby but makes it all the more conducive for nature spotting and chilling.

Great location, beautiful quiet little town. Russ was great to chat to about what was happening around time. We look forward to staying again.

This cottage is located in a really beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Our family had a great relaxing time there . Lots of lovely birds in the morning. Liz was very helpful and supportive.

Fantastic cosy cottage. We are a family of 6 - all adult sized. It accommodated us all well. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated with all modern conveniences- including under floor heating in the bathroom. The kitchen / dining / lounge room was a little tight at meal times, but could be easily managed. Michael and Diane are great hosts. Excellent communication with genuine care that you enjoy your trip. Thanks for a great trip.

We had an amazing time! Lise paid such great attention to detail with everything on the property. The home was very clean and had the listed amenities. The view was spectacular, especially with the surrounding hills. We loved the canoeing experience on the property and meeting the farm animals and wildlife. Overall, the owners were very friendly and accommodating and I can't recommend this property enough!

Had the best time at Canyonleigh. Tranquil location, gorgeous animals and access to a river. The place itself was very well equipped, clean and tidy. The best part about the entire stay however was Mel. She was extremely responsive and available for all of our queries. She offered a farm experience to us in the morning. When we needed honey, cinnamon and extra towels she was quick to provide. Furthermore we needed a ride into Bowral and she not only offered to give us one, but gave as quite an informed and impassioned tour of the area. We had the best time and would love to revisit again. Our cup feels very full now and I am really grateful!

Had a wonderful 4 day stay at The Outpost. Beautiful peaceful natural surroundings on an idyllic bend in the river, lots of wildlife, kakaking, bush and river walks. We had never seen platypus in the wild but we saw them multiple times (mostly in 'platypus pond' the swimming area on the river). Mike and Rose (the caretakers of the property who live just up the road) were wonderful and had prepared the cottage very thoughtfully with some special touches for my 70th birthday. Can thoroughly recommend a stay at The Outpost.

A beautifully appointed place a stones throw from the beach! Great for four adults and two kids for our Easter beach trip. Nicky and Anita were very helpful and communicative hosts. Would 10/10 recommend!
