Guy & Tanya’s cottage was the perfect landing place for my first visit to South Africa as a Black & trans American writer. The quiet, sunlit mornings with birdsong helped me focus on reading & writing. The steep hill & stairs around the cottage got me back into lifestyle physical activity, which I appreciated. Everyone I interacted with, from the vigilant staff at the entrance gate to the warm neighbor & proficient housekeeper, added to the sense of comfort & safety. When I had an issue with the space heater, the hosts were responsive, & the heating blankets on the bed were clutch. One night I was startled by several barking dogs while walking back to the cottage & Guy quickly intervened, but most days I just saw their chill dog, Django. The hosts were generous throughout my stay, letting me use laundry detergent & even offering a ride to a local café after checkout. The location is also near lots of art & culture events. It was sucha grounding place, would absolutely book again!

Very quaint and cosy place to stay. Peaceful location with great views. Stairs to loft was quite precarious and would HIGHLY recommend a railing of some sort be placed as getting up and down was not ideal or easy due to sheer steap incline. Even our 8 yr old had difficulty going up and down. Bags ended up staying on the ground floor as getting them up was not possible without assistance

cute and cozy, i had a wonderful stay - wish i could’ve stay longer! very peaceful and close to the beach/tidal pool. the space is very comfortable and homey, you won’t want to leave.

We escaped the city for Rose Cottage early on in our holiday, I was in need of the quiet serenity of the suburbs and Anthea’s home met all my needs and expectations. A slice of heaven in leafy floral Bischopscourt - just off from the Botanicsl Gardens. The perfect peaceful home to get away from the hustle and bustle, gorgeous pool area - and we LOVED Jordy the little dog coming to see us on a morning. We felt totally at home. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Mountain House. You will not regret booking it! Peaceful and tranquil while still being close to restaurants and shopping at Kalk Bay. Hiking literally on your doorstep and Fishhoek and Muizenburg beaches easily accessible. The views are amazing and the hot tub is something special. The kind of place you never want to leave. Carin and Miles are excellent hosts. We hope to be back soon.

The sweetest cottage within walking distance of Scarborough beach. Beautifully decorated and very private, we had such a lovely couple of days. Lisa couldn’t have been more helpful and her lovely daughter Eva kindly offered to babysit our two children which was a lovely break after two full on weeks on the move! Scarborough itself is a lovely village with great local shops and an amazing Italian restaurant. Hopefully one day we will be back!

It was such a treat to spend a few peaceful days and nights. The property is truly special, steeped in history and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Imagine waking up to the soothing sounds of a waterfall with majestic mountains in the distance – it was incredibly relaxing. If you're looking for a tranquil escape, this is the perfect spot. Julia is a wonderful host, and I highly recommend her cottage for a peaceful retreat.

We stayed for 9 days and were working from the cottage most days. The space was perfect for what we needed - clean, cozy , with all the right ammeneties. If you're a coffee drinker, the options are great. The TV works with all streaming apps, and there are plenty of good desk spaces to work from if you are working remote. The garden is beautiful and great for eating outside or relaxing in the sun. There are grocery stores and cafes in walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

We had lovely stay at the weavers cottage over the Easter weekend. We were lucky to have great weather and managed to head to the waterfalls twice during our stay which was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We had morning visits from the farm ponies and peacocks and the staff we friendly upon arrival. Hope to be back again soon!

No complaints Definitely recommend this stay! My family and I needed a last minute booking & Madeleine responded very quickly and efficiently. Very communicative and accommodating host. The cottage itself is exactly as show in photos & stocked with everything you will need. Very comfortable, perfectly clean, safe and secure. My kiddos appreciated the mini picnic table and children’s dish-ware. Great for short term or longer term stay.

Stylish, very clean accommodation in a beautiful setting. Great location for shops, vineyards and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house itself was spacious (even more so than the photos), clean and beautifully presented. The beds were comfy and with lovely linen, there was a well equipped kitchen, we loved the outside fire pit area and we really enjoyed the views. The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and restaurants, but just far enough away to be quiet and private. We would definitely recommend this Air BnB and hope to stay again.

This apartment is a gem! It's consistently clean, conveniently located, and a breeze to find, making our family visits to Durban so much easier. Thea and Khombi are fantastic hosts – always friendly, responsive, and ready to assist. We highly recommend this place!

What can I say but very positive words? The location was ideal but the best of this place in Cape Town is by far Pelle and Pernilla themselves. They are very attentive, welcoming and excellent knowledge of things to do. They gave us a very warm welcome and excellent recommendations that made our experience of Cape Town even much better! Will definitely look forward to returning!

Carel is a very kind, helpful and responsive host. The accommodation offered everything we needed and has a cozy balcony with a great view. We felt right at home and would definitely come back.

Beautiful home and a great space for a family or small group. Located just down the road from botanical gardens in a gorgeous neighborhood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our group included a couple of small kids so we appreciated that there were plenty of at-home activities when we were not out and about in Cape Town (pool, hot tub, playground, smart TV, books). Wish we could’ve stayed longer — hope to come again!
