Beautiful schoolhouse, North Uist, Outer Hebrides

RosyRating, 5 stars84 months ago
The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

Award-winning eco beach-house and sauna

LucyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A stunning stay in a piece of contemporary architecture. Just wonderful. We were two friends travelling together, and having the extra downstairs place to sleep was great for us. The kitchen was state of the art, the views from the bed and seating area are straight out over the water (1 min walk across a field). The sauna was an amazing addition. We put it on, went for a swim, and came back to warm up. Bliss. (I don't think you can swim from right outside the Bird Hide, but only a 5 min drive away is an incredible, sheltered beach for swimming (and shell hunting for the non swimmers). Jane left a lovely welcome package too. We'll never forget staying here!

Comfortable detached 4 bedroomed holiday home

Wow, what a fantastic location and cosy cottage. The children were delighted to find the games room which meant a lovely relaxed holiday for the grown ups! James and Chippie were both so helpful and accommodating of our needs and Benbecula and North Uist were simply stunning.
A cozy bedroom features a spacious bed with light-colored bedding adorned with subtle botanical patterns. Decorative shelves with small plants are positioned on the patterned wall. A mirror reflects the room, enhancing the sense of space, while a neatly folded blanket is placed at the foot of the bed.

Idyllic Hebridean thatched cottage

A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.
A living area is presented with a cozy brown sofa and a wooden TV unit displaying an entertainment setup. A decorative mirror hangs above a fireplace, and a colorful floral rug adds vibrancy to the neutral-toned space. Natural light streams through a window adorned with soft curtains.

Lovely cosy home from home with a spacious kitchen-dinner, cosy lounge with view, really quiet, separate downstairs loo, all bedrooms of a good size and comfy beds, and upstairs shower room. One of the bedrooms is downstairs, so it was especially useful having the downstairs loo. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

Red Pepper - Loch & Sea Views - Explore Uist

IainRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had an amazing stay here as a family of 4 with 2 young children. The space was great to relax at the end of the day with no worries about letting our youngest crawl around. The place was toasty warm from the minute we got there and it's a great location for us as we have family in South Uist so we were pretty central to everyone and just 10 minutes from the airport and even less to the local Co-Op. Cathy was great in keeping in touch with us and left the light on for us on a later check in after visiting family so felt really welcoming when we arrived. Great stay for us and would highly recommend, thanks Cathy!

Cheerful 1 Bedroom Cottage, Self Catering, Uist

JeanetteRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely cottage in one of the busier spots on the island. Which is not at all busy. Was cosy and comfortable the whole time and felt very safe. The beaches are just incredible. Absolutely stunning. Has a fabulous few days and even joined a local Archeology walk which was fab. Met lots of Lovey people. Was poorly the first day but had to shop. When I returned to the shop two days later I was asked how I was and was I any better. Just lovely.

Romantic rural idyllic sea cottage

JanRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a wonderful week at White Cottage, luxuriating in the peace and beautiful setting. There are walks from the door, nature in abundance and a fascinating ancient church close by. The Golden Road route starts within a mile or so of the cottage and an abundance of beautiful beaches and good eateries are a short drive away. The cottage is homely, cosy and well equipped. Loads of local information is provided and the host was most helpful and friendly, both ahead of our trip and during our stay. Advance information was especially helpful.

Karen could not have been easier to deal with, she was easy to get hold of and extremely helpful with her local knowledge. The accommodation was perfect, such an idealic setting with views to die for and the entertainment of the friendly farm animals was priceless. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and home baking on arrival- you can't expect much more. My wife, 2 dogs and I could not recommend this place highly enough.

North Uist Bayvilla Vacation home

DanielRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We stayed 8 days at Jamie. The house location was beautiful, you could paddle board from the garden at high tide; it was on walking distance to beautiful places to walk and swim and to the local shop. The property, kitchen and bedrooms were very well provided with everything you need for the stay including things to do on a rainy day (books, games, TV,..). All the family had a great time!!
