We had a delightful six night stay at Njord House. It was exactly what we wanted (remote and quiet, but accommodation of a high standard), and when we weren’t hill walking we were able to take advantage of the lovely environment that the property provides. It is very clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped, and has lovely views over the loch through large floor to ceiling windows. Adelaide was a very attentive host, and communication was responsive and comprehensive. Very highly recommended. We would love to return.

The traditional croft house is surrounded by lush greenery, with tall trees and vibrant foliage framing the exterior. A stone pathway leads to the entrance, giving a sense of seclusion. The inviting white walls contrast gently with the natural surroundings.

A beautiful home in a wonderful location! Would strongly recommend staying here vs a busier part of the Isle, we were very glad we did. Regarding the home, photos really can’t do it justice. Lovely, well-maintained garden. Quiet, serene, on clear nights the stars are beautiful, and the view across the valley feels like living in a painting. Would recommend to anyone visiting Skye!

As others have said, this chalet is special! In particular, its location, but also its comfort. If you love peace and quiet, nature and wildlife, you will love it here. Well placed for exploring South Uist, Eriskay and Benbecula, but if the weather isn't good, staying in the chalet looking out of the windows at the birds and seals is great too. Otters didn't appear for us, but they are regularly seen here too. Highly recommended and we would love to return.

The only thing that I would rate higher than this cottage was the beautiful view and sunsets we enjoyed (these were truly spectacular!). The Byre was just right - cozy, both secluded and close to the great spots nearby such as the Glendale market/post office, Skye Weavers, and 3 Chimneys. Clear instructions and responsive communication were appreciated too. I would definitely recommend this special place to a friend and I would love to come back someday soon!

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

Memorable stay on Skye! Very peaceful location and lovely cottage. Road a bit rough with potholes, but enjoyed the remoteness. Even managed to see the northern lights! We didn’t realise shower gel wasn’t provided and no shops nearby, so do remember to bring your own. Lots of coffee making devices but no coffee, so pack that too! Highly recommend.

Good communications and Ronnie even popped round to see how I’d settled in. Instructions on finding the place were spot on, I was left with no doubt as to where the cottage is. There is an information folder which is concise and helpful The cottage is perfect for my needs, as a single traveller for work. It’s ideal for singles or a couple to explore the islands. The Hebridean Way goes right past the cottage Excellent WiFi - speed good enough to stream TV and a helpful guide on how to connect etc. The place is clean with the right amount of amenities. Heating is good and instructions are great. Thank you also for the welcome gift. It’s my favourite! Would definitely stay here again

Two things make the Tinhouse a very special place to spend time :- 1. The location of the house / actual sighting of home affording privacy with magnificent views over the Loch and distant Cliffs in North West Skye. 2. The simple elegant architecture that maximises views and light coupled with the build quality that keeps the place cosy warm and totally relaxing day and night . Totally enjoyed both this special part of Skye and the down time spent in the house - to be honest sometimes it was hard to leave the Tinhouse to go exploring! Alan & Gill were fantastic hosts . This is a beautiful house in a stunning location. Better even than the photos. It was very cosy and peaceful, with amazing views over the loch from virtually every window. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and there is an amazing sound system. Next time we are coming to Skye I will definitely book here again. Thanks Juliet for the lovely stay.

Lagan Glas is a beautiful, luxurious cottage in a magnificent location. We had a fantastic week on Skye as a family of 5 with our Labrador. The cottage has everything you’d want for some relaxation time: XBox for the kids, log burner to drink a whisky by and stunning views to stare out to. The kitchen and dining area are superb and very well equipped and the bathrooms likewise. The location in Glendale is stunning (as is every corner of Skye) with a lovely circular walk via a rocky beach for the dog to run about and an excellent cafe for a pit stop. There’s also a very special vegetarian restaurant and tea room not far away. Karen is super helpful and swift in her responses, with excellent local insight and suggestions. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Lagan Glas and Skye in general.

We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. The house is located in a more remote part of the island with stunning views of the bay. It's cosy and spacious. Elke is very welcoming and responsive, and she pays great attention to detail. The washing machine and dryer came extremely handy after hikes and when traveling with limited luggage. We found tea and coffee when we arrived, and the booklet for tours and hikes around the island was very helpful and informative. Any time again, we loved our time at Elke's place!

We have had the best week at Seashell Cottage. the house is beautiful, pristine, warm and inviting. The kitchen is very well stocked, the showers and bath devine and garden great for the dog. Location was exactly what we wanted for exploring the beaches of Harris. There is also a supermarket and Tap Room conveniently located a 5 minute drive away. Tarbert is 25mins away for a day out at the gin distillery too. Probably the nicest AirBnB we've stayed in and couldn't have asked for anything more.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home just a couple of miles outside of Castlebay on the Isle of Barra. The location is peaceful and scenic, though not very walkable—having a car is definitely recommended (taxis are available if needed). The house is clean and comfortable, with three bedrooms and four beds, making it a great option for families or small groups. There’s a large family room with a beautiful view of the water, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Gated parking is available, which was a nice bonus. There are two bathrooms, but be sure to bring your own soap and shampoo, as these aren’t provided. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay while exploring Barra!

Anke’s cottage on Barra is a slice of heaven. Dubbed “Barradise”, the island’s beauty, wild yet peaceful, is breathtaking. We enjoyed several hikes, each offering stunning views and serenity. The cottage, while a bit cold due to the season, was made warm by Anke’s care. She provided extra heaters and a kind partial refund for unnoticed storm damage. It’s cozy, with a special charm and an amazing sea view, offering magical sunrises. Can’t wait to return to this cozy haven!

We had such a lovely stay at Easter Byre. The cottage was beautifully restored and furnished, and very cosy to be in, whilst still being spacious. We arrived quite late, in the dark and John and Jacqueline’s instructions made it easy to find. The fire was going and the cottage was warm and welcoming when we got there. They gave us privacy throughout the stay, but it was really nice to be able to meet them and chat with them on the farm, and learn about life on North Uist. Jacqueline bakes delicious sourdough bread, and delivered some to us every second morning - it was perfect for breakfast. They gave us great recommendations for walks and places to eat. The beaches nearby them are beautiful and lovely to walk - we were very lucky with some sunny days. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - it was the highlight of our Scottish holiday 😊.

Ann’s place was sparkling clean and had very clear instructions about each and everything. It’s also near to the sunset point and many other popular locations in Skye. Views are breathtaking. Never wanted to return back, wish we could have booked for more days. Would definitely book again if we go to Skye.

What a wonderful time we had at Lorraine's caravan! We didn't want to leave! Very cozy and we could walk to town in 15 minutes. Beds were comfortable and everything worked well. The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

This has to be the nicest Airbnb we’ve stayed in. It was stunning. The view was incredible and we never tired looking at it. The space itself was faultless; had everything you could need, extremely comfortable bed, excellent (huge) shower, and every detail considered. It was next to a small farm which was so lovely, spring lamps jumping around in the field next door was adorable! It’s remote, but that’s exactly what we wanted. We would return in a heart beat!

Nothing will prepare you for the view from this place. The pictures in the listing are good but there’s no way to capture in pictures what it’s like to be here. Also, place was very clean and had the best beds and furniture etc. It is an absolute gift to get to stay here

Joan was super responsive. Although her instructions were limited to 2 pages, she answered any question I had within minutes. The area is lovely and she recommended The Brewery, which is a great restaurant with a wide selection of beers brewed on the premises. She also recommended a local weaver, which was a highlight of our stay. The house had what we needed. The heating boost was easy to use.

We had a lovely time at Morag's warm and cosy home on beautiful Benbecula. It was perfectly located to explore the islands and go on excursions. The house had all the amenities we needed including dishwasher and washing machine. Our whole family slept so well in the very comfy beds. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights one night too! Thanks for a great stay, we loved the fresh eggs from the chickens.

A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.
