The Matrieux cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, the games room is an undeniable plus with children, the hosts are very welcoming, available and friendly. The only downside will be that we hear a lot from the neighbors of the adjoining cottage.

Magali and her husband are adorable and adaptable hosts. The house is as described, it's very cozy, a cocoon where you feel good. The place is peaceful, the most for children is the safe outside for children. The surroundings are very cute to visit, the BLACK PERIGORD is really beautiful, we fell in love.😊 Again, thank you for this beautiful and soothing parenthesis. We will undoubtedly be back.

Our experience has been nothing short of comfortable and refreshing; as we had a clean and peaceful home to come back to after a long day of seeing the beauty of this area of France. Upon arrival we were greeted by our lovely hosts and friendly animals that made it even more enjoyable to call home for the time being. My daughter, who is 17, enjoyed the views on the balcony & preferred how quiet and secluded this house was from the bigger city areas. In many ways, my husband and I would recommend staying here at Castelnaud because of the space it has to offer, with 3 bedrooms and 2 floors, each with 1 bathroom, and more beds than needed, providing a comfortable living space for bigger families as well. Little details made our stay even better such as full sized mirrors all around the house, strong internet connection, & very good shower pressure & temperature. Over all, if you’re searching for a peaceful and comfortable house to stay in, this one meets all needs and desires!

Pleasant welcome. Location in the middle of nature, in a quiet area. Well-equipped campsite that complements the many tourist activities of the region (swimming pool, ping pong, tennis, barbecue, laundry...). Absence of basic products (oil, salt, pepper) but remains well equipped (coffee machine, kettle, pots, dishes,etc.). Private terrace, out of sight, super nice with its hammock. Nice bar with cocktails, local beer, etc. All in all a very nice place that we recommend!

Géraldine's large family home perfectly matched our family gathering, a large living room where folding tables and chairs could be added, there was a foosball table, much appreciated by everyone. Large rooms where young parents were able to install the BB folding bed and a small mattress. Perfect bathrooms. Everything was very clean, the equipment like the linen provided. We had a great time and were able to enjoy Géraldine's tips for visits (at the farmer's house and the farmers' house) and walks along the river or on the hiking trails. No time to do everything, we hope to be able to organize a new meeting there! Thanks for the welcome basket, appreciated too! A good place to remember and recommend! Thank you Géraldine!

Very good welcome from Michel in the hut where we can have a refreshment or an aperitif (children's games available right next door) The accommodation met all our expectations (very pleasant jacuzzi after a day of visiting) Michel is available for all information, it is also very good in the kitchen (delicious Perigord meal in the hut) Thanks also to Fabienne for organizing the horseback ride. To be repeated without hesitation!

This is my second year back, very quiet, with its charming garden overlooking the Dordogne within walking distance. The accommodation is convenient, complete and functional. There's always free parking nearby. I'll be back there without any hassle.

Nice environment with a very considerate, welcoming and responsive host. Most activities and visits are 25-30 minutes from the location (Montignac-Lascaux, La Roche Gageac, etc.), the cottages are 10-12 minutes from Sarlat. Some activities or visits can be planned at about 1h20/30 (Padirac Chasm, Rocamadour). The environment is peaceful with the possibility of enjoying the pool (even in September!). For nature and calm lovers, it's ideal! Thanks Thierry for hosting us and maybe one of these days!

An excellent stay spent in this cottage located in a relaxing and green setting. It's the country! The terrace with barbecue and pool make it a friendly and family-friendly place. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is spacious. We enjoyed having a shower / wc room in each room. Thank you to Valerie and her husband for the welcome. Perfect weekend in complete relaxation (quiet, lake view). Matthieu and Anne-Mieke are very friendly, caring and give you all the good tips about the surroundings (visits, events etc.). The house is very well-equipped for family stays (especially for babies/children). Good bedding (it's important to sleep well when you go away for the weekend to rest!) We recommend it without any issues. We've already booked for our next weekend in the countryside!

Beautiful set of 3 cabins. The main cabin with a fully equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, stove, range hood, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle...), a dining table, a double bed and a bathroom (shower & toilet). the 2nd cabin has bunk beds with shower and toilet and the 3rd cabin has 2 single beds. The 3 cabins are very functional and very well thought out. The environment is quiet and peaceful with a magnificent unobstructed view and beautiful sunsets. Under the main cabin, there is a very friendly sitting area. The cabins are ideally located for visiting the area and we even enjoyed the delicious village restaurant for dinner (walking distance!)

Very nice week, very well located cottage. Many visits to do, pretty typical villages to discover nearby, very good restaurants, as well as farm inn with farm products. Spacious cottage with very beautiful park garden. Close to Sarlat,Roque gageac, Domme, Cazenac and Beynac, Chateau des Milandes, firm visit of the abrupt with his ducks and geese: very good address for lunch . In summary, very satisfactory stay in a very beautiful region. We'll be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the weather - unfortunately that’s out of our control (beyond reversing climate change!). A beautiful location, fabulous pool with shallow area for toddlers and great interior. We had both parts of the property. It would have been better if they were interconnected and there were more lounge space/seating but that would have been less noticeable had the weather been better. Hosts were excellent from start to finish and quick to help when we had a small problem with a door that got stuck closed.

One of the best rental properties we have ever used for all sorts of reasons. Nicola was an excellent host who was always very responsive and helpful. The house is set away from a tiny village in a quiet part of the region but this was perfect for us. Lots of space for our two children to play in. The property has been appointed beautifully. I would not hesitate returning.

Very nice home. A large garden. The master suite is nice. For couples with kids, separate rooms are convenient. It feels like home.

A great stay at Guy's. The place is very quiet, it's very relaxing. Everything is there, no need to bring much which is convenient. In addition, Guy has always been very responsive and friendly.

Emmanuelle was very communicative before we arrived and during our stay. The yard and view of the river were very nice and the stroll to the bi-weekly market and restaurants were very easy. Overall, Le Bugue is a great jumping off point for the French countryside of the Perigord, but many storefronts of the village appeared vacant.

A perfect position, a few minutes walk from the historic centre, and easy to come and go from. The home was comfortable with all the amenities we needed for our 4 day stay. We did not meet our hosts, but they were very helpful in sending recommendations for sites and restaurants in the area and very quick to respond to our questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this place as a perfect base for a stay in the Dordogne area.

We had a great time at Lucia's place. The apartment is spacious and close to the city center where we were able to walk, especially to find very good restaurants.

Pascal welcomed us with friendliness to this accommodation which perfectly matches the description given in the listing. 5 minutes from the historic center of Sarlat, this tastefully decorated apartment has all the comforts you need for a "cozy" stay at Sandrine and Pascal's. We would come back for a future stay in this beautiful Périgord Noir.
