Les Loizards in the middle of nature

The house is 2 km from Chissey-en-Morvan. As the last on the road, there is very little traffic. You’ll hear nature sounds and, in spring and autumn, the gentle murmur of a stream 30 meters away. A small road runs between the house and terrace but soon becomes an unpaved path, so few cars pass. The four-star gîte is in an old farmhouse barn. Next door, a second peaceful holiday home is also available on Airbnb.

A simple and pleasant location. Really nice and great bedding, we slept really well. The place is quiet just next to the town hall and church. The bell rings every hour but stops at 8 p.m. and starts again at 7 a.m. But if not, it was quiet and frankly very welcoming, the host who explains everything and is very nice.

I chose this Airbnb for a week away to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Marloes and Olav were incredibly welcoming hosts, from the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The Airbnb itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, with so much attention to detail. The area is stunning, peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still close to nearby towns with plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to explore. The facilities were great, everything was exactly as described, and more. Marloes was always just a message away and super helpful throughout my stay, which made everything even more relaxing. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in a beautiful location. I’ll definitely be back!

Gîte MTB Morvan: for bike & nature lovers

We were looking for a quiet, simple place to stay in a beautiful setting. We found both in the gîte of Jorinde and Paul. It is tastefully and originally furnished, with a Swedish stove and a comfortable double bed in which you can sleep in total silence. Having breakfast in the morning sun in front of the house is wonderful. If you are vacationing here, you need a car, as there is no public transport. The most important groceries can be purchased in a small shop in the nearby village, which can also be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. Actually we wanted to explore the area by mountain bike, but because of an injury this was not possible. The region is also great for hiking, and on the way we always thought that we absolutely have to come back here with our bikes. Renting is also possible. Jorinde and Paul are very nice hosts. We drove home happily. :-)

Beautiful, quiet location, where there was enough space to stay with several people, without getting in each other's way. Inside a little more outdated than we expected in advance, but still completely super (and just neat and clean). Martina was our host, a very sweet woman who was in for a chat, but also just let you do your own thing. We definitely recommend it!

very pleasant stay in a quiet environment in the middle of nature. Small city center with essential shops, convenience store, restaurants, pharmacy... Remember to ask for a few details about the access for the last 100 meters, Waze already takes you to the right street but Christine, a planner, will provide them for you. Warm welcome with flexibility on schedules. Impeccable cottage. We had a great weekend.
