We recently stayed for 2 days and had a pleasant experience overall. The check-in process was smooth, the room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable short stay. everything we needed was available. We would definitely consider returning in the future and would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful, hassle-free stay.

Rural Cottage by Cleish with fantastic Games Room

AngelaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
10 out of 5 🌟 This is a host that completely understands that the little touches make a big impact. Without a doubt the best Airbnb that we have stayed in. The warm homely feeling was there from the minute you walked in, from the smell of freshly baked bread, followed through to the sweat heady scent of homegrown roses in the bedroom. Once you settle in you can enjoy a piece of delicious freshly baked chocolate brownie cake on the patio. The games room was a big hit with the boys, they polished their Billard skills in the evening while our daughter and I made use of the gym. The house is very well equipped, everything necessary that you need for a few days respite, including forest walks right beside the cottage. There is plenty to do nearby and that was our only issue - time. Not enough to explore everything the region has to offer but a reason to return. Lucy and Tom are very attentive hosts and have done a tremendous job on their house renovation. Hats off and 🙏 so much
A serene view of the River Devon is displayed from the balcony, featuring clear water reflecting the surrounding trees and blue sky. Wooden railings frame the image, adding warmth to the natural setting, while hints of budding foliage are visible along the banks.

Lovely place - best spot on the site at end of a row with complete privacy. Some lovely welcome surprises we didn’t expect as well. A great place to stay.
The exterior of an independent bookshop is displayed, featuring large windows for showcasing various books and inviting light. Above the entrance, signage reads 'the Wee bookshop' in a friendly font. The stone facade adds character, with a traditional design and multiple window panes.

The Bothy at Sheardrum - a cosy rural farm cottage

SianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved having a wood to free run the dogs in, you need to walk the dogs there on leads but it isnt far and after the first day my dalmatian walked off lead to the wood. The owners did have dogs themselves which came out to greet us on occasion but if that was a problem then the owners are very friendly and adapatable and im sure would keep them in if needed. The little back garden was enclosed and had paving slabes and pebbles. Lots of room inside the place with a large kitchen and bathroom and hallway. I felt like nothing was too much trouble. I asked if there was a BBQ and there wasnt but they sorted one out for us and then i asked about a dog crate (as we were off to a dog show and couldnt fit ours in the car as it was fully loaded) and they even sorted a crate out for me to use. Very friendly and chatty owners and the place was picturesque and peaceful. You can also park your car right outside the property.

Farm Stay in stunning Farmhouse with HOT TUB

ValerieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were a party of 9. 6 adults and 3 children. (3 generations). It was perfect for us all. We enjoyed the garden area with hot tub and barbecue. Our host, Jan was excellent. We enjoyed her home baked bread and lovely welcome hamper. The children especially enjoyed the farm tour and getting to feed the lambs. The location was perfect for us. Peaceful and private. Accommodation was spacious, clean, well equiped and would definitely recommend.
