We had a great time in September. Quiet place. Very nice, very well restored goat shop. Tonia, who was our point of contact on site , with her husband Clemente made us discover with passion their village etc. Tonia was a great ambassador for her village and the area. Our stay was one week and we were able to enjoy a lot of calm, good landscapes and country trails 2 minutes from the house. Soledad sends you a lot of information about routes, towns and restaurants and is available 24/7. It never took more than a few minutes to answer any messages I sent during my stay. Our butane tank ran out and in 20 minutes we had it changed. The place is very well maintained and the facilities are of good quality. They even have the thoughtfulness to have things like salt and pepper, scented candles or Tupperware at your disposal. Everything you need to live with the essentials for a few days. Small tip for future customers: if you stay longer than 2 or 3 days I recommend leaving the shower towels to dry outside the bathroom, since it is a very humid room and they will get a little musty. Overall, it was a very quiet and relaxing stay, a nice change from city life.

The house & location is in a very small village up in the North of Portugal. Perfect getaway for us coming from a busy part of Portugal! We enjoyed our stay at the place, and highly recommend it to anyone considering booking. It was clean, super spacious & had a trampoline & small climbing course for my kids!

We stayed for 4 nights at this peaceful and secluded farmhouse, visiting friends in neighbouring Castelo Branco. Rogério was there to meet us after an 8 hour drive from Southern Spain with a welcoming drink and home made pastries and he spent 45 minutes explaining about the location and its history; he really is super friendly. The house truly is a home from home filled with his treasures, games and even a keyboard. As mentioned in other reviews the dog did bark constantly but Rogerio had already flagged this and offered to move him. we used the house only as a base however and he did not unduly bother us. It was a great stay and we made full use of the wood burning fire which kept the house cosy and warm however it did smoke a bit leaving everything we owned with a memorable dour of woodsmoke. It’s great value and our friends who live in the area visited one evening and fell in love with its rustic charm, they are going to book a couple of nights for themselves in the summer.

Very nice house, beautiful setting. We couldn't do anything nearby because our car broke down, but we did a route that left the village and we got lost taking a walk around the village, everything was beautiful. Looking forward to returning to discover more about the area. The views are unbeatable. Not to mention Carmen and Macu, always attentive and helpful. We had a great time and were very comfortable.

Excellent house! 11 people with very good conditions. Lots of games, books, guitars and very comfortable. We'll be back! But we'll want to use the pool too. I recommend it 200%

Extremely quiet place, with complete privacy and all the comforts you need for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The house is equipped with all the amenities and the terrace, with a jacuzzi at the ideal temperature, offers a breathtaking view. The owner was always very accessible and attentive, giving helpful suggestions on places to visit and where to eat nearby. Access is easy and there is a nearby supermarket that offers home delivery service, which made the stay even more practical and comfortable. An experience we recommend!

We spent a few days at Maria José's house and the truth is that the house was not missing any details, it's a pity that the dates were not the best to enjoy the beautiful pool that it has, the house is amazing, better than as described in the photos on the page, to return!!
