Soajo Country House (PNPG)

The house is beautiful, well-equipped and well organized. The garden is wonderful and Soajo is a fascinating place. Manuel was very kind and a good conversation with him made the experience wonderful for us (me, my wife, and our animals).

Welcome to Gerês "Green view"

AnneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Everything was great & we got great recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we met at a nearby cafe and were escorted to the accommodation. On site, we were very warmly welcomed and received the first information. After half the stay, we even got fresh towels. Unfortunately, two things are not apparent from the description: the view of the lake is obscured by trees & you have direct neighbors. But that didn't bother us & we would always come back!
A tranquil body of water reflects a variety of greens and blues, surrounded by rocky cliffs. Lush grasses line the water's edge, creating a natural frame. The calm surface of the water emphasizes the serene environment.

Casa Bruno

Very nice, clean apartment in a quiet location - great view from the balcony. The arrival was a bit complicated, as the address provided is not the accommodation and we had some trouble finding the meeting point mentioned by Proenca. Once we found it, we were warmly welcomed. The parking is not directly at the house, but only a few minutes' walk away. During the power outage, Proenca personally came by and brought us flashlights and candles. We had an amazing experience overall and would come back.

Alex and Julia were fantastic hosts, extremely generous with their delicious homegrown produce and very friendly - we really enjoyed sharing a coffee with Alex in the local cafe in the morning. The apartment is a great jumping off point for hiking in the national park. Definitely recommend!

"Forest House" in Branda da Bouça dos Homens

LizaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed for one week in June with our dog. It was a wonderful experience: - Village: it's a tiny village with a few people. If you want to recover from the city noise it's a perfect place. There is no bars or shops, so be prepared and take all the necessary food with you. People are nice. There are a lot of cows! They are friendly and beautiful. - House territory: it was the most beautiful view from the house that I've ever saw - giant mountain in front of every window. Super calm. Territory has a fence, it was enough for our dog to stay inside but there are holes so be prepared if your dog tends to run away. There is a bbq outside. - House: it was just awesome - everything you need you will find: enough of blankets, pillows, comfortable coach, dishwasher. Cooking pans are not the best, but enough. I liked the interior very much - it's a lot of space in the living room, giant dining table, in one of the bedrooms you have mountain view. Strongly recommend. Thank you!

Tapada do Teixo

Mr. Nuno was a sensational host. He welcomed us in person, showed us everything about the house and its surroundings. The house is located inside Gerês Park, contrary to what is described. All the nature around the house is impressive. Mr. Nuno's place is also a sanctuary for the preservation of rare botanical species, which he imports from other continents and takes great care to ensure that they grow properly, making that place a natural paradise. The private river and waterfall, with its purest waters, complete the scenery making it a space without equal, the one we certainly want to return to someday and strongly recommend to friends. In addition, Nuno, who is a passionate Nature expert, presented us with some beautiful plant seedlings. The house is very comfortable and equipped, extremely clean and well cared for in the details. There should be a six-star rating for this home and this host. Thanks, Nuno. We'll be back
