Vacation rentals in Snead

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely stay with 6 adults and 2 infants. Great set up for kids and very nice main room and decking area. Hot tub, BBQ, kayak and right next to a lovely lake. What more do you want!? Only slight draw back is you can hear the road but didn't bother us at all.

Stayed at this place twice now and both times didn't dissapoint. place was clean and tidy. The house is finished to a high standard and has everything you need for a relaxing time away. Great host will use again

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Myself and five friends had the most wonderful stay at the beautiful Lake House. Mark was prompt with any queries and kindly let us check-in early after some of our group had travelled from far away. The house was as described and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen and appreciated the three spot-less bathrooms. The sun shone for us, so we were able to enjoy the wrap-around decked outdoor seating area and take advantage of the kayak and rowing boat. The attention to detail with the provision of sporting equipment and board games was fantastic! We enjoyed walks along the canal and to other easily accessible lakes and had a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. My friends all discussed returning in the future as a group and with our families. Thank you Mark for making our weekend.

Brilliant place for a re set if thats what your looking for as we were. Outdoor bath was amazing, views beautiful, canin really cute and comfy. Firepit was lovely too. The other 4 cabins are closeby but you do manage to get your privacy. Dont hesitate its fab!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here - it was the perfect base for climbing Snowdon and exploring the area. Ian’s recommendations and communication were fantastic throughout, everything was easy and the house itself really felt like a home away from home. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus, and the surroundings and nearby village were beautiful. We would love to return!

The Haven is a five-star cottage in beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon hosted by wonderful Ally and Simon. My wife, daughter and I had a memorable week’s holiday in early April (due in no small part to our excellent accommodation) and we are planning to return again someday. We were impressed by everything the cottage had to offer, including the recent guest list.

7 of us stayed at Sam’s place for a long weekend and it was an ideal cosy space that was well equipped. The on site bar was very nice and offered stunning views whilst have a drink m, watching the sunset. The location is an ideal base to climb snowdon and visiting Portmeirion and Porthmadog. Check in and check out was easy and the hosts answered all of my questions before visiting. I would definitely recommend Thanks Donna
